Its probably going to be a week or more at best. The second town expansion seems to take more dailies to open up than the first, and to boot, fewer people are doing them now.

I don't think the respawn rate of the Ravagers is the issue as much as the fact that there are like 5 in the entire area as compared to the probably 30 of the larger guys. Doing the quest at exceedingly off-peak times I actually killed enough Ravagers before enough Flayers once, but that obviously involved skipping any Flayers I didn't need to progress through the tunnel. Nevertheless, it was a quest I generally didn't do except in passing while picking up cargo since it would have been faster to fly to Nagrand, kill the guys there, and fly back, than compete for Ravager spawns. I certainly hope they change the quest somehow, even if it means killing more Flayers!
Were the number of pollen/ore/leather required decreased as well?

Something we noticed last night about the Stash patterns - they're not BOP. Wowhead now has 2 [Pattern: Bracers of Renewed Life] listed, one BOP, one not. And yes, it seems BT patterns can come out of them as well as Sunwell patterns.

The Armor/Weapons badge vendor is probably linked to the Sunwell Armory. In addition, he has a daily linked to unlocking him as well. Making Ready
"Regardless, we can ill afford to wait around hoping that help arrives before our offensive stalls. We must make the best of what we have.
As for me, I need ore to fashion an anvil so I can begin to upgrade our armor and weapons."

I wrote up a Shattered Sun Offensive summary of how the dailies work and how they chain (based on guessing from the quest text). But it's long and mostly just speculation.

Interesting. Is the cache itself soulbound after you receive it?

I just saw a rumor that Kael (in MT) drops BOP JC and Enchanting recipes that were previously world drops. Is this true, or just someone trying to drive the market prices down of the varios recipes?

I remember seeing posts that he did drop some previously BoE recipes that were BoP (and only appeared if you had the respective profession like other instances). There are also a fair number of BoP versions of old BoP recipes on Wowhead (like Recipe: Haste Potion - Items - World of Warcraft or Formula: Enchant Boots - Cat's Swiftness - Items - World of Warcraft) so it seems SOMETHING is dropping these BoP recipes.

There are BoP versions of some of the expensive BoE recipes like Runed Living Ruby or Boar's Speed in the patch files, but I don't think anyone has confirmed where they drop.

In my single run of non-heroic Magister's Terrace on PTR, Kael dropped a BOP version of the Adamantite Weapon Chain plans. So yes.

Now that I think of it, I recall someone getting a Boar's Speed in Magister's Terrace the first night. Looking in wowhead you'll see there's a new BOP version for 2.4. Seems like a new trend, world drop BoE or instance drop BoP.
The [Cache of the Shattered Sun] appears to be BoE. Since everything inside it isn't soulbound, that shouldn't really be an issue, apart from possibly returning to the old days of people putting up empty/near-empty containers on the AH.

You cannot auction containers with items in them. Trade chat is a different story.

Not if there is people at the entrance to hyjal griefing. It also means you can't release and run back whilst hoping for a res between waves. Personally i would rather the ghost form as it seems less risky and not sure of the reasoning behind this change.

After having the chance of seeing/killing the first three bosses (ok, we didn'T kill felwyrm but we tried him) I'm wondering if blizzard isn't running out of ideas for bosses. It seems like, since the start of TBC, blizzard hasn't given us any "new" fights mechanics, granted some were refreshing, but other than RoS and Kalec, there really hasn't been anything new in boss fight.
That being said, am I the only one who is a bit let down by sunwell's boss? It seems like brutallus and felwyrm and version 2.0 of other bosses (trying not to spoil here).

I'd agree about Brutallus, but Felmyst has enough alternate mechanics that you can't really call it Nightbane 2.0. Frankly, if they buff his hp and fix the bugged portions of the encounter I'd rank it right next to Kalecgos in terms of entertainment.

Mag cubes? Vashj hot-potato-toss? Teron ghost mini-game? Using mages/hunters/warlocks to tank mobs (Maulgar/Council/Kael)?

Yeah we only tried him a couple of times and it felt like nightbane 2.0. Granded there is more going on, but it's still nothing new in boss design.

ok for vashj's hot-potato-toss and teron, mages/hunter"warlocks tanking mechanics started out with the twins. Granted instead of a warlock tanking it's a hunter or a mage, but it's still the same mechanics.
To say more, i'm scared that the twin eradars will be Twin emps 2.0

Ranged tanks were used on Twins and to an extent Ouro, its not exactly a new mechanic.
In the case of Twins they meerly upgraded it with a PBAOE to stop it actually being tankable by a melee as normal, heck on Leo last time we had no Loc with FR in the raid so we just used a Warrior, and it was 5x easier for us.

Haven't a lot of people been asking for a Brutallus-type encounter? One that is an almost exact copy of a certain Naxx fight. This is what we asked for people, and we got it.
Remember that the PTR is there for tuning, finding exploits and patching bugs. I highly doubt these fights are finalized.
edit: Also, asking for a brand new mechanic on every single encounter is kind of a pipe-dream, and mostly unnecessary. It would be nice but I don't think it's something we can expect. Reusing mechanics and giving them a new twist is perfectly acceptable in my eyes. C'thun>Lurker for example.

Saying that "ranged tanking" in general isn't new might be true; the creative applications we've seen are inventive and fresh. Even some of the encounters in Karazhan had ground-breaking concepts.
People don't give Blizzard much credit, but be honest - they've done a pretty reasonable job of reinventing the wheel every time a new zone comes out. I have yet to be truly disappointed with any encounter post-BC.

Lash attacks are much easier to deal with on offtanks compared to Patchwerks Hurtful, and they had a more important factor in them than "stand ontop of the MT".
Lash is nice and all as a new mechanic, provides more emphasis on the MT but makes OTs kinda less important.
If anything its a reverse of 30% MT 70% OT type healing to 70% MT 30% OT which is somewhat frustrating and 'simple'.

WE've asked for a solid gear check, not a new patchwerk. To me kalecgos is a much better gear check than brutallus where EVERYBODY has to be on the ball otherwise there's no way in hell u can keep up with it. You need to have good dps, competent healers and tank that aren't retarded and geared to the teeth or they will be 1 shotted by the demon.
