Latest patch fixed the NE model glitches, no longer a 50% chance for me not being able to fit through a doorway.

Anyone who has done Kalecgos on the latest version notice if the floor is still glitched for pets and such?

Without going into specifics, can you elaborate a bit on Brutallus? Is the fight significantly redesigned, or? Is it just a tweaking of some of the fights' variables?

so you will need over 30k raid dps to win. That's 16 dps'ers doing about 2k each.

Sounds hard, but not impossible.

You aren't going to have 16 people doing 2k DPS, especially with a least 2 tanks, a fair numbers of healers, and hybrid DPS.

Haven't seen a post on it yet, but Commendation of Kael'thas dodge bonus has been nerfed as per MMO Champion, quite heavily. 20% to 8%.

30k DPS is ridiculous no matter how you slice it.

They could extend the Enrage timer and turn it into an endurance fight of sorts, though I'm not entirely sure how that would work.

Or they could reduce the HP to make it fit into the 6 minute entimer, much much tighter.

They are probably still not finished with the second half of the instance, maybe Blizzard is just throwing out the old progression block while they tune the rest.

This could be a possibility, the 1st Gate is almost open on the US PvE server, though I'd rather they come out and say: It's not ready yet instead of plunking down another C'thun 1.0 type deal.

Wouldn't the best way to tune the fight properly be to give it a shitload of extra hp and then carefully monitor how low the very best guilds can actually get him on their very best attempts with full buffs and hours of practice, then peg his health a touch below that level?

I don't get how people can be annoyed at the fact that they buffed Brutallus pretty significantly. It seems clear that they are trying to find a good balance between extremely hard and impossible. I mean, really, what other way could you balance a gear check like this other than some trial and error regarding his HP?

Praetoran, I hadn't thought of it like that, but you have a point.

As for the DPS requirements, 30k raid DPS spread among 16 people works out to 1875 apiece, this discounts incidental damage from healers and tanks (minimal, I know, but those groups together almost make another DPSer). I am no expert, but if 2k sustained for 6 minutes is reasonable to ask from each of your best, then the timer is actually quite doable, though very tight.

I would have expected them to have some sort of expected/acceptable healing/DPS level for guilds that have been in BT/Hyjal for quite some time, and balance accordingly.

Not to mention there's been quite a few guilds and kills of Brutallus already, which could have been used to determine the kind of DPS output possible by these guilds.

Not that it necessarily matters, considering he's only on the PTR.
