I'm really hoping that there will be a caster/healer legendary early on in WotLK, atiesh 2.0 would be awesome. I disagree, the bow will definately last into the next expansion and having a whole other bag free [for hunters] while levelling would be invaluable.

Oh dear, more bombing runs.
I see Fel Kaliri in my future.
Those spoiler abilities seem interesting though, + Holy damage? I guess Ret Paladins will be happy.

I have to say that I think the picture of the legendary bow is fake. I really want to believe its real, but I don't think so. If you look at the image that has been linked, the "the" in the name is lower case. In the past, with items such as Jin'rhok The Great Apocalypse, the "the" is capitalized. Also, the possessive on "Stars" seems wrong. If I'm not mistaken, it should be "Star's" instead of "Stars'".
Also, the ammo concept makes me wonder. There is the spell ID ("46699 : Requires No Ammo - Thori'dal generates magical arrows when the bow string is drawn. Does not use ammo."), but it doesn't make sense to me. Ammo takes up an inventory slot, and even the created ammo from the Kael fight must be created then put in the paper doll slot. It would make much more sense seeing a something where the bow creates an arrow, then immediately uses it.
Not only that, but how would this "magical arrow" function? Obviously if it's created, then it must exist as an item somewhere. Does it have a dps increase like all other ammo in the game? Or would it's tooltip read like "Increases damage by 0 dps"?
I would really like for this bow to be real, but I'm holding my breath at the moment.

Guess this mean we will be able to use use our flying mounts out there, or are you able to use flying mounts in the Blood Elf area already?

Not necessarily (in fact, I highly doubt it): there were bombing run quests in Hellfire Penninsula (and of course the bombs in Halaa) that were done from a flight taxi.

In regard to the 'issue' of naming, I can't help but think fondly of the time when I was running aroundwith Ritssyn's Ring of Ch oas for quite a while, it eventually got fixed to be [Ritssyn's Ring of Chaos]. So imagine something like that slipping through to live, its not folly to believe that the lowercase "the" is accidental, likewise for possessiveness.

Considering several other things that were from those same series of Sunwell Loot screenshots has been datamined and confirmed to be in the patch files (the graphics, and spell info), I really don't see any reason to believe it's not real. Part of it was already confirmed to be real. It certainly appears to have been an early leak.

Yes, I forgot about that ring. One of my friends complained about the typo all the time before they fixed it. Unfortunately, I don't think that anyone has any answers about the other aspects of the item that I pointed out.

Well they must've added code specifically for this weapon. Otherwise the 15% non-stacking bonus doesn't make sense.

The arrow DPS is innately included on the weapon. Then a spell is applied that makes the bow not require arrows. It's an easy workaround for what would otherwise have to be a new mechanic.

The bow might be better than T6 based on the fact that steady shot doesn't benefit from ammo dps, but is it really right that a (most likely) unintended mechanic problem is the only thing that makes it even a marginal upgrade? Does it make sense that it's 3.0 speed even though hunters have been using T4 weapons for months because of our broken dependency on faster weapon speed? I'm also of the mind that I want a big performance upgrade, not a useful gimmick.

With the 2.4.0 PTR, we will be allowing US, EU and Korean players to access all available PTR realms. Players will be able to choose which test realm they wish to play on without being restricted by region. We currently plan to make all PTR realms available in this way for all future patches.

Not sure if this has been posted before, sounds like a recipe for some fun PTR pvp

The metagem names are Eternal Earthstorm Diamond (12 def rating, 10% shield block value, and the percent is not a typo) and Ember Skyfire Diamond (14 dmg, 2% intellect).
Potential boss ability behind spoiler tags:
|
Spectral Realm teleports and Spectral Exhaustion effects suggest an encounter with a Metroid Prime 2 like darkside/lightside mechanic. Could be raid, could be 5 man.

It's quite clever because it's not really a PvP upgrade since Steady is the staple of PvE DPS, not PvP.

There's no way to ID item stats without a PTR is there? Even if you already know the exact item IDs?
I ask because I'm really painfully dreadfully curious to find out what, if anything, they've done to Retribution paladin T6.
