I noticed that people did mention the changes to Magtheridon here, but am not quite sure if all was mentioned. Maybe it's old news, but I'll post it nevertheless.
The Mind Exhaustion now lasts 30 seconds and only one infernal per channeler can be up.
Contrary to what some people mentioned all over other forums, there still are 5 channelers and yes, he still does cleave. Not sure if the debris damage was reduced, but it hit me for 5.7k if I recall correctly.
He also dropped a 20 slot bag, BoP, wasn't Unique, or at least it didn't say on the tool tip, called Pit Lord's Satchel. And a green bag with gems in it, kind of like Nefarian did, with 3 epic BT gems and two blue gems in it.
We had 22 people in the raid, and each received something over 22 gold from the kill.
Also 3 Badges and no Essence of the Immortals.

Woah, think we just have a reason to do Magtheridon once a week right there.

It's onyxia all over again, run it every week even when in naxx cause it drops a bag! It was fun wiping on onyxia after a hard progress night in naxx tho, so I guess I don't really mind.

Except this one also drops heavily needed gems. I don't care that much about the bag :p.

I haven't seen it mentionned yet, but Molten Armor has changed. It now procs on all attacks, not only melee: direct damage spells, hunter shots, etc. Even dots and debuffs such as Curse of Elements.

I don't have a screenshot of the actual loot right after the kill, as I didn't really think about it back then.
I pestered the guildie who got the bag for a screenshot of the 20-slot bag, that being true hopefully could confirm my other statements.
http://www.guild-illusion.com/images/album/151.jpg
Also, we only killed him once on PTR, so can't confirm if it always drops or is a random drop, but it didn't replace any of the usual loot he has, so I assume it always drops just like with the already mentioned Onyxia. The addon saying 50% 1/2 is probably just some bug.
Hope that is enough.

Well 3gems per week aren't going to make a world of difference I think, but yea it's a nice plus. That's still an insane boost to maghteridon viability, 3gems, 20g per person, 3badges and a 20slot bag, plus the usual loots, so the head, 3 T4tokens and whatever maghteridon drops which gets turned into 2-4LPS.

Not sure if that was mentioned, we just killed kael, in TK on ptr. He dropped ***drum drum**** 3 x Vanquished Champion tokens, essence of immortals and 3 badges. Also we got 12g each (25 man raid).
Also, we didnt get any phoenixes, and the shield went down *very* fast. Not sure if thats intended or bug.
edit: vanquished champion, not vanquisher

On an amusing note about the new fishing dailies, one of the items you can get as a reward from the [Bag of Fishing Treasures] is [The 2 Ring].

TO Be Honest. Magtheridon's health should be cut by 30% too to only have 3 or so channels... the current is just boring. Morogrim too.

It's not boring if that's your current level of progression. By that rationale, if you have your Illidan-dead BT neck, every boss pre-BT/HS should just roll over and hand you epics.
Leave the fights alone. Small changes to encourage the majority of raiders to farm them is fine -- I whole-heartedly applaud the efforts to make Magtheridon worth killing. He's a backwater-raid-instance atm -- people still go to Gruul weekly (we go 2x per week with alts) to try to get DST for their rogues/hunters/warriors/shamans/druids/ret pallies/tanks, but there's no compelling reason to go to Magtheridon's Lair. Now there is.
And given that if you bring mains, it takes ~ 15 minutes from zone-in to loot, the money + gems + epic bag makes it worth-while. I mean, I farmed Onyxia while in Naxxramas, 10-man style, just for that bloody bag. This will be the same thing, except it's near-impossible to 10-man due to the mechanics of the fight.

I think the other poster was arguing Magtheridon needs an hp nerf and a channeler nerf so he -could- be 10 manned.
To be honest, all in all, I think it would be a reasonable change to make Magtheridon a 10 man boss. I mean he does drop T4 and it would be nice to give the Karazahn guilds something else to do.
Hell, while they're at it I really wouldn't mind if they tweaked Gruul and High King into 10 man bosses either! I imagine scaling Gruul would be a joke, High King could certainly be fitted for stacked 10 mans though.

Actually, I just meant nothing else but cut 30% off from Magtheridon. Just so that it takes about 3-4 channels to get him below 30%.. not 5-6 like it is now. (for the guilds that are progressing on him)
I think we got pretty bored out of Mags gigantic amount of hp pretty quickly after first kill. There's like nothing to do but click the cube every minute. There's nothing challenging during 5 channels except "the clicking", yes earth rumbles a bit and you have to run back but nothing that might kill you. Which after patch 5 players alone can do.

Is it? Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only thing preventing a 10man currently is the channel timer, but since this is going down to 30secs debuff, you could have the same 5people using the same cubes all the time, and pretty much have 5 other people killing maghteridon(with the help of cubers between the channels). That'd be very doable I guess, unless I missed something? Warlocks in the start maybe, but with only one infernal per lock, bringing a few classes that can deal with them should make that easier?
Just saying, I've done illidan more than I've done magtheridon, so I don't know much about the encounter to be honest, I was just told go there, click cube when he casts, and heal.

He no longer spawns infernals anyway in 2.4, so that's a moot point.
Mag is fine as a 25 man boss - there's little enough for guilds starting at that level to do anyway, and you shouldn't do away with what little T4 25 man progression there is just because not many guilds are at that progression point any more.
I would still have preferred a nerf to the channelling mechanic so a single click failure wasn't an unstoppable wipe for a raid (unless you thoroughly outgear the zone and have the HP to survive it, which isn't really the point).

One infernal per channeler is honestly just a big a nerf as effectively negating mental Exhaustion. It essentially says that, no matter what, you'll never be facing more than 4-ish infernals. By the time the big guy pops up, you should be down to one or two. That many few threats to the healers = a MUCH easier set-up for guilds on the borderline of T4-5. Especially for ones who are lacking warlocks in their ranks.

Huh. I'd heard previously that they didn't spawn any at all. I guess we'll find out one way or another when we do it on live anyway; if the rewards are as stated then he'll go back on the kill list.

You don't need 5 tanks; you can get likely away with 3 tanks and 2 hunters misdirecting (we certainly have done 4 tanks and 1 hunter). Hunters are useful in helpful deal with Infernals as well. With 3 healers, that gives you 4 DPS. Those DPS and one of the freed tanks can now click the cubes every time. As long as you can kill 4 of the channelers before the blast wave you are probably ok, assuming the cube is clickable before all the channelers die. Wow Wiki says channelers have 240k HP, so you need to do 240k per DPSer in 3 minutes. That's 1333dps. Shouldn't be a huge challenge with todays gear, right? Assuming the buffed mana regen, 3 healers with top end gear should be able to manage healing your tanks in top end gear. If you bring 3 warriors, you probably don't need a rogue for interrupts. This gives you 2 warlocks for DPS and banishing as well as the 2 hunters.
I'd say it's definitely in the range of possibility of top end guilds as of Sunwell. I don't see why they couldn't make it possible for a standard 10 man raid as long as the channelers are either tankable at range or easily draggable.
