I just deleted the Kalecgos Strats thread.

I'd like to ask that, despite the flurry of excitement over the PTR and actually having new content, people refrain from divulging and theorycrafting/speculating over strats for the raid encounters in Sunwell Plateau. I realize this is just a small gesture, and that this information will continue to circulate on World of Raids, MMO-Champion, the official forums, IRC channels, Bosskillers, and so forth. I can't do anything about those, but I do have some control over this little corner of the internet, and I'd like to do my part to help preserve the longevity of this morsel of content for which we've been waiting the better part of a year. We can all go back to bitching about the lack of content soon enough, but for the time being I think it's ultimately harmful to the high-end raiding community to turn every boss into a collective endeavor. This is our content. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Once there a ton of kills of a given boss, we can go back and reflect on the details, compare strats, and so forth. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. It's for the best, really.

4/1 Update: Alright, you can talk about Kalecgos and Brutallus now. Don't ask stupid questions, and don't ask people to do all your work for you. Go see the fight and wipe to it and then come back with questions. If you just want an overview, go read bosskillers or something. But discussing something that you haven't seen isn't productive for anyone.

Twins are fair game now -- there's some interesting discussion to be had here.

Two initial points:

1) As always, do not come here and ask for strats when you haven't seen the fight yet. Go put in some time wiping to them and see what your problems are -- there is absolutely no one way to do this fight, and I can think of at least six different strats that guilds completely swear by, and a million variations of those strats.

2) Conflag and Shadow Nova are not random. Each twin uses them on a random target that is high (but not #1) on the aggro list of the other twin. For the twin you aren't DPSing, that will mostly include healers. If you kill Alythess first, your healers (and OT) will get conflag, and your DPS will get nova. If you have your Alythess tank bouncing PoM constantly, procing Earth Shield, and having a lifebloom pop on the pull, it's quite possible for him/her to get enough healing aggro to eat the first conflag. That's why this happens, and it's a bad thing. Don't waste space arguing about these abilities.
