Would it be possible in any way to make the available loot (the green mark you set on the gear lists) to be selected automatically on a boss-by-boss basis? As an example, when you progress through Ulduar, and your guild makes its firstkill on boss XY, you select boss XY on a list of (all available) bosses, and all the loot he has available gets checkmarked automatically on the gear list.

As english is not my native language, I hope you still understand what I'm trying to say.

I see what you mean, and that's not a bad idea. It'd rely on accurate loot location data, which isn't fully available yet, but it's a good idea. I'll look into it.

Decent idea.

As was said, wowhead for example lists some of the tier sets from Emalon (which is true), but not the normal Ulduar bosses. Also you have the issue with items from normal versus hard-mode only. Many of the hard mode items are the best in slot, however your guild may be months away from being able to do the hard modes.

The existing method (you would have to click each item manually and to see who drops it, isn't too bad.

Otherwise, you could ask in your respective class/role thread for a Best In Slot list so you know what to look for.

Couldn't the seperation between normal and hard mode be done by itemlevel? Or are there any bosses which drop the same itemlevel in normal and hard mode?

10 Man hard mode drops 226 armor, which is the same as 25 man normal mode armor.

Yes, but drop locations are already sorted by Heroic/Non-heroic. Adding an iLvl check on top of that would be enough.

Being able to set optimizer to check loot from bosses 'up to and including' in certain dungeons would be a very nice feature. Getting fancy by tying it to progression isn't something I'd get excited about but it would make selecting optimizer loot smoother/faster.

Thanks a lot.

Glad you (all?) like the idea...

In our 25 man raids I generally get Power Infusion a lot. Could this buff be added in to at least the moonkin module?

Rawr v2.2.3 Released!

Download - Rawr - Release: Rawr 2.2.3

- Optimizer doesn't report changes where it just swapped ring or trinket slots.
- Rawr.Cat: Fixes and improvements to rotations
- Rawr.Enhance: Lots of fixes for calculations
- Rawr.ProtPaladin: Support for more procs and effects
- Rawr.Retribution: Added some optimizable values, support for more procs and effects, and a Consecration effectiveness option
- Rawr.Healadin: Added some optimizable values

I discovered the "Top Gemmings to Show" was implemented incorrectly and was in fact showing the bottom X gemmings. Until the next version is released to fix that issue make sure you have that value set to something higher to how many templates are enabled, or else you are going to see incorrect comparison charts.

Anytime I try to do a custom gemming in 2.2.3 I get an unhandled exception.

I found and fixed that error as well, but you will have to wait for the next Rawr release (which will hopefully be soon) to see the results.

Rawr.cat's new and more accurate rotation points out a small failing of Rawr that might be addressable - that stat weighings are mutable and (more importantly) often have characteristics where the more of a given stat, the more valuable it is. This is demonstratable with armor pen, for instance; many cats using Rawr would not know to go for armor pen even fully buffed, as recommendations wouldn't look for it directly nor would 'direct upgrades', and gem choices would actually guide them away.

I realize that this is somewhat what the optimizer is for, but when planning gearing choices and figuring out right now what to gem for, this is somewhat flawed. What would be good is to show some kind of vector of stat improvement as you increase the stat, especially in the stat weighings. It could be as simple as an up/side/down arrow indicating that the more you have, the better/same/worse it gets for you.

Rawr.DPSWarr in 2.2.3 is massively overvaluing agility for me, putting it higher than strength and crit rating.
