You can already do that, you just have to do it before making the upgrade list. We can't just put a filters dropdown on the upgrade list, because you could only filter items out, never add more items back in, than what you started with.

I know you can't add stuff in later, but that's not what I'm asking for. It'd be nice not to have to run the upgrade list generator several times, but rather to just create one master list and then filter it by instance the same way you can do with slots. Sometimes I do want the whole picture after all, just like sometimes I want to view my upgrades across all slots and sometimes I want to view them only for a particular slot.

Right, I understand, but how can we do that, in a usable manner? I do understand the desire for this, and how you want it to work, but how do we do something like that, that most users can understand?

Well, the menu's already implemented in the form of the "Filters" menu for regular gear selection....I don't know what's going on under the hood right now, but it seems like you could just move the same menu with the same logic over to the upgrade list window as well. It should be easily understandable to users because the filtering would have the same effect that it does in the main gear comparison screen.

Err... What? You responded to my explanation of why that wouldn't work. Again, the filters could only remove things, not add them, that were built with the upgrade list. It would make no sense to users if they could only hide items using filters, not unhide them.

I can't load characters from armory which have TBC items equipped. Examples: [Tome of the Lightbringer] or [Commendation of Kael'thas]. Using 2.2.4.
Update: Just tried to load a char with [Badge of the Infiltrator] - same result.

I noticed that the lastest versions of rawr already has the 15% proc rate of balance druid T8 4 set bonus implemented, however I assume it doesn't model the bug the bonus is suffering from (quite obvious since it will eventually get fixed ... I hope ). But for now I can't really use rawr to optimize within my current gear since it always forces me into wearing 4xT8. Is it possible to turn off the set bonus manually for the purpose of optimizing until the bug gets fixed?

P.S. I really hope this wasn't asked before ... I just couldn't find it. If it was I'll just delete this post.

You are Balance, so I'm assuming its the Instant Ion Cannon you are referring to. For a quick temporary fix, Close Rawr, go into the Folder you installed Rawr, enter the Data subfolder, find a filer called BuffCache.xml, open it with a text editor, search for "Nightsong Garb 4 Piece Bonus" (omit the ""'s). Set the "<Chance>0.15</Chance>" to "<Chance>0.0</Chance>", and a bit lower down, change "<IsCustom>false</IsCustom>" to "<IsCustom>true</IsCustom>". Then save and load Rawr. Atleast that worked fine when I tested it here.

I know that if you didn't calculate them in advance you couldn't unhide them, but if you create a master upgrade list then hiding/unhiding works just fine. Yes, it's true that if you build an upgrade list from a narrow range of items and then after the list is made try to broaden the range that won't work....but I think the feature is still very useful despite that limitation, which is a bit of an edge case imo. The concept the you're filtering only from the list you've already created isn't that difficult to understand, as that idea is pretty clearly conveyed by having to run an optimizer to get the initial results in the first place.

I believe it still tries to load items from US armory, which is down at the moment.

I'm a bit confused that some items are actually showing up having negative value (as much as -70 dps compared to not using any item). My only guess is that it somehow updates stats in a way that changes the optimal cycle to a less optimal one. However, I don't see the cycle changing. This occurs in a number of cases, but I'll mail a specific profile.

I generally wouldn't care since these are items at the bottom of the list, but it changes the overall scale of the bars and shifts them all to the right.

I'm seeing one negative-value item, and it's a fishing pole. In that case I expect Rawr is setting my base dps to the fishing pole's 5.0 instead of the real minimum dps.

It's also weird that it's showing up at all, because its type is 'none' rather than any real weapon type.

I probably need to add a check in weapons for ferals, that if it's under the DPS which you start getting FAP from DPS, it doesn't translate to negative FAP.

I am seeing this for trinkets ([Figurine - Twilight Serpent]) and 4 rings ([Ring of Northern Tears] lowest) as well. It is not specific to weapons. These negative values appear to only occur with certain gear combinations.

Edit: Just noticed another very strange case. It is showing [Figurine - Monarch Crab] is worth 43.0 with 2x16 agi gems, but worth -108.59 with 2x27 agi gems. I'm also seeing values jumpimg around when I toggle "Enforce Gem Requirements" on and off, but between different values (not just back and forth between 2 values). It's also showing different results when I sort Alphabetical instead of Overall.

In all cases it looks like it is items with JC gems that are showing negative (with 3 already being used). So, I think I found the problem. When you equip more than 3 JC gems, all the gems become invalid. This means by equipping that item it is actually making other items worse. If the base stats of the item are worth less than the value of the other 3 gems, the item will be negative.
