ok the problem can be repeated - select a profession that gives stats buff (skinning, mining), and then uncheck it it in the Buffs page. it then throw the enchant sorting off.

it looks that a profile contains missing items will cause the "Profession buffs" to disappear in the buff page (could be similar as "requirement controls getting stuck disabled when cancel out a warning"), which may have caused the profession buff to be removed when the profile is saved, or subsequently uncheck and hide the profession buffs.

Long time follower of RAWR, first time poster.

I am looking for the itemization controls. I think I am losing my mind as I was sure it was a menu item on the drop down but for the life of me I cannot find it. I can see the star graph but was sure there was an area that gave the actual itemization numbers?

Am I out to lunch?

TIA

Itemization numbers? Uhmm... Relative Stat Values? That's the only thing I can think of you meaning. Please pay very close attention to the big warning on that view though, it's serious.

I noticed in the latest version 2.3.3 that several items are either still missing or freshly missing.

These include:
[Bile-Encrusted Medallion]
[Devium's Eternally Cold Ring]
[Ashen Band of Greater Destruction]
[Ashen Band of Unmatched Destruction]
[Ashen Band of Endless Courage]

EDIT: Actually on second observation the neck & non-rep ring are present, but their stats are wrong. The rep ring later versions are still missing.

Rawr (v2.3.4 released on 12/22)

Download - Rawr - Release: Rawr 2.3.4

Tour of Rawr Movie! - YouTube - Tour of Rawr

Recent Changes:
v2.3.4.0
- More improvements to Wowhead/Armory parsing.
- More special effect handling improvements.
- Added an ilvl 259-276 filter group.
- Added a warning if you have too many/few talent points allocated.
- Fix for a couple enchants being missing, or mistagged as requiring a profession.
- Rawr.ProtPaladin: Fix for DK rune enchants showing up.
- Rawr.Hunter: Improved the UI of the options screen. Fix for DK rune enchants showing up. Fix for armor penetration debuffs applying to pets. Fix for happiness being applied twice to pets.
- Rawr.DPSWarr: Fix for crit depression calculations. Displayed crit chance is now locked at your basic crit chance against equal level mobs (ie, should match character screen). Fix for a bug with very low amounts of armor penetration. Fix for DBW trinket calculations.
- Rawr.RestoSham: Support for more special effects.
- Rawr.Elemental: Updated T9 set bonuses.
- Rawr.Tree: Added option to save/load spell profiles, and included several defaults. Added an MPS chart.
- Rawr.Warlock: There's still a big updating coming, but it's still not quite ready. We're sorry that it keeps getting dragged out.
- Rawr.Cat: Slight fix to Idol of Mutilation Calculations. Added support for Idol of the Crying Moon. NOTE: It's currently undervaluing Idol of the Crying Moon; this idol is indeed better than Mutilation for Cats, assuming you can keep the buff up for the fight duration.
- Rawr.Bear: Slight fix to Idol of Mutilation Calculations. Added support for Idol of the Crying Moon.

Could use a bit of info here... I noticed the last few Rawr patches, value of expertise for my bear model shot up like nuts. I thought it was a bug at first, but it can't have just persisted for this long...

Assuming T9 25 HM raids, the value is pretty much equal to stamina point for point which I find really hard to swallow. I'm at 209 expertise which I don't find too shabby. The value is also quite a bit in mitigation. Now I know parry haste sucks, but really, to this extent?

It's the parry haste. I welcome others to review the calculations, but they do show that it really is very significant.

Important note for all Rawr users: ONLY download Rawr from the official site, rawr.codeplex.com. Recently there have been a few posts on other fan sites, posing as myself or Gwindori, posting links to virus-ridden copies of Rawr, hosted on third party site. Do not download them; only download Rawr from rawr.codeplex.com. Thanks!

I've noticed a HUGE performance loss in the optimizer between 2.3.3 and 2.3.4. This is using the cat model, thoroughness set max. I do have a lot of gems selected, but copied the same templates to both. Same items marked available. Previous version takes ~4 mins, new version takes ~18 mins.

There's also a few items that cause Rawr to crash when reloading from Wowhead, such as [Ashen Band of Endless Vengeance].

Yeah, there really does seem to be some major performance issue in 2.3.4. Looks to be especially bad in Cat, but still significant for all models. We're working on it.

I have a feature request. It should be easy to do given the information is already available.

When you click on an item, you can see all the other available piece for the same slot, and a bar below them showing how much relative of a dps gain they are. Well, if you could also show how much of a dps gain/loss from the current item, that would be awesome. In the image below I put the text directly in there, but it could as well be on the tooltip. I put 'dps' in there but I guess 'overall score' would make more sense given there is no implied warranty the user wants to optimize the dps.

Also, a point that has long bugged me out about rawr is the way stats are being displayed on the item tooltips. My main gripe is that it always feel unintuitive since it feels like the information is just thrown up there. I would propose to restructure the display. For example, I don't think many players care that much about how much armor a given piece gives. I don't see any compelling reason to see that as the first stat displayed. Also a normalized listing of stat would help a lot in my opinion. I provided images to show a bit what I mean.

I deliberately put a space for 'crit rating' in there, simply because positioning itself can be used as a visual cue to the user. If you all jumble up the information together (say you have a column that would display dmg/haste/hit in this example, with no space for crit), then it forces the user to have to re-check precisely which stats are being listed.

Of course, this would mean some sort of priority of stat, and that they are always shown in the same order. I am aware wow doesnt do it currently, and neither does the displayed order of sockets (it really should follow a nomenclature, like reds/yellows/blues).

Rawr (v2.3.5 released on 1/2)

Download - Rawr - Release: Rawr 2.3.5

Tour of Rawr Movie! - YouTube - Tour of Rawr

Recent Changes:
v2.3.5.0
- Fixed a significant performance issue that was introduced in v2.3.4, and affected most models, but especially Cat. Sorry about those multi-hour optimizations for a build there.
- Improved and clarified the wording on a variety of error messages throughout Rawr to try to be more helpful.
- Many models now have better support for proc'd direct damage special effects (ie, chance on hit to deal 5000 fire damage, etc).
- Improved filters to include ICC bosses. Some bosses whose items come from chests are still problematic, but there's at least something there now.
- Added support for Black Magic in several models. IMPORTANT! Please note however that for models which allow dual weilding, Black Magic does *not* stack, and Rawr doesn't know this yet. It may show dual-Black Magic as the optimal weapon enchants, but really you should only enchant one weapon with it in that case. We're working on a fix for this.
- Improved handling of PvP gear filtering and source parsing.
- Fix for downloading talent images from the Armory.
- Adjusted the proc rate of Berserking and Executioner to match recent testing.
- Rawr.Warlock: WARLOCKS! The big stream of updates has finally began! Rebuilt the combat priority queue. All spells, talents, and glyphs should have the correct damage, coefficients, multipliers, and effects, updated for 3.3. 2T10 implemented. Improved stat display. Added support for the missing spell crit debuff. Added several default talent specs. Cleaned up the options panel.
- Rawr.Mage: Improved support for 2T10 to match the latest testing. Slight fix for haste calculations. Improved graph support.
- Rawr.Tree: Fixes and improvements for mana restore effects. Slight fix for WG healing value.
- Rawr.DPSDK: Remodelled Cinderglacier, improved handling of damage done-triggered special effects, and tweaked various ability calculations to match in-game testing. Improved valuing of hit and expertise based on their affect on your rotation. Fix for offhand OB hits not procing rime. Fix for parsing of Sigil of the Hanged Man.
- Rawr.Cat: Added handling for Victor's Call, and similar recursive special effects.
- Rawr.Hunter: Fix for a bug with changing pet options.
- Rawr.RestoSham: Fix for Shard of the Flame.
- Rawr.Healadin: Fix for Shard of the Flame.
- Rawr.DPSWarr: Fix for a performance issue with the optimizer and multiple ArPen trinkets. Fixed an issue with sword spec not procing if you only have white attacks selected. Added rage and glancing from sword spec. Added several more default talent specs. Improved tooltips on several of the stats on the Stats tab.
- Rawr.Rogue: Did a bit of cleanup to the options panel.
- Rawr.Enhance: Fix for an export to EnhSim issue. Slight fix for ED and fire totem uptimes.
- Rawr.TankDK: Fix for saving and loading of options tab data. Fix for parsing of Sigil of the Hanged Man. Fix for handling of recursive special effects.
- Rawr.ProtPaladin: Fix for a rare chart crash.
- Rawr.ProtWarr: Improvements to proc triggering chances. Several fixes for Deep Wounds calculations. Improved handling of partial talent specs, leading to better values on the talent point comparison chart.

This question was asked about a year ago, but I'd like to revisit this: I know that the "Display Item Types in Tooltips" option will label the slot in which an item goes, which is probably useful to people who work with upgrade lists a lot, but I'd find it even more useful to see armor class in the item lists filtered by slot (where knowing that gloves are "Hands" items is somewhat redundant). Is that being considered or will opening the item in the item editor or in a browser window be the only way to go for the foreseeable future?

My second question pertains to the "Healadin" module. It has been stuck with T8 set bonuses for ages, which means trying to optimize gear with the T9 or T10 bonuses in mind requires knowledge of their relative worth and workarounds like cost restrictions. It seems Rawr actually needs to support these as I haven't found a way to manually add them to the BuffCache.xml so far (kind of expected since they're mostly not mirroring stats/bonuses available on other gear), am I right to assume that I'm SoL until their being added officially?

Everyone always coming to Zathras with problems. Great responsibilities. But Zathras does not mind. Zathras trained in crisis management.
