1- Did you have any other instances of that item marked with the green diamond? That sounds like the most likely situation. If that's not the case, send me the character file in question, please.
2- In my experience, unless you're really stam-centric, just Overall+Uncrittable is sufficient. Avoidance is a possible requirement and dodge isn't, because avoidance is what matters, dodge doesn't.
3- Really just Overall and uncrittable. Adjust the value of Threat to your liking on the Options tab, and let Overall handle it.
4- We don't really have a good suggestion for this at the moment. Closest suggestion I have is to rate Threat very highly and optimize Overall, in Bear.
5- Build upgrade does an optimization for every relevant item. That takes a long time. Typically, you'll only want to do it with a very low thoroughness. The internal numbers tied to the slider for thoroughness are (I think, pulling from memory) 1 to 400... I'm thinking of leaving it at 1 to 400 for Optimize, but reducing that to 1 to 50 for Build Upgrade List, so that the time difference isn't so huge.

Looks like either you didn't unzip Rawr, or you unzipped just the .exe, or you moved the exe out of the folder with all the other files. It needs all the files included with it.

Looks like that was what I did, I just turned the correct gemming blue while the other gemmings remained selected green.

For cross model optimizations the item upgrade batch tool is the closest to what you want, but it does not currently support different models for different characters.
|
So I can't go cross model with different characters, but I could conceivably run 2 models for 1 character? Could you explain this a little more?
|
For build upgrades option it is strongly suggested that you set thoroughness to minimum.
|
Hmm good to know, I've had large HD defrags take less time as currently set
On another note, Astrylian, I got some really neat weird results (not really a bug) today. I ran a bear optimizer with 3 parameters, then switch to the cat model and hit optomize again. But it still had 3 parameters set, though all were Overall rating. It chose a screwball setup with like a -400 rating and half the eq slots unfilled. Not necessarily a bug, just a little weird effect.

Apologies if it's been asked before or if you've stated somewhere... but is it possible to use the files containing the gear setups from the old Rawr in the new one or does it cause bugs? I've tried to work with the files containing my DPS and tanking set (talking feral druid here) and on loading it's fine, working with it, after a while, trying to change some gear, it just gives an error leaving me with an option to either ignore it - in which case I can't change any more gear pieces or simply to close it.
Cheers in advance and a nice job adding in all those extra models (I haven't updated in a while, loads of new stuff ^^ ) and on the whole program

Uglijesa: Yes, use your old character files. Most likely you need to update to the new version of the .NET Framework to fix that error, but if you tell me what the error is, I can let you know for sure.

So I was tinkering around with RAWR just now, being silly, and I stumbled upon an interesting bug. I think.
I was fiddling with the Ret Paladin model, and noticed that when I reduced an enemy to 0 Armor with the armor slide, Armor Penetration was still rated as a VASTLY superior stat. I'm wondering if perhaps there isn't some serious bug with the way RAWR figures armor reduction. And if this is a known issue, I apologize for the repetition.

This was a bug in the previous version. It has already been fixed for b15. Please download the latest version of Rawr.

In b15 you can use it for cross character, but all characters must use the same model. I just checked in the changes so in b15.1 you can use it for different models. It will use the model each character was saved with.

Will try updating .NET Framework later, but figured to give the report to you anyway, if nothing, you may want to put it as a warning... Oh and btw, if it matters, last version (from which the old character files come from) is b1.31

Deathfrost
Astrylian, thanks to you and your team for the release of b15. Is there any modeling of the frost-damage portion of Deathfrost enchant? I'm a retribution paladin that uses it for PVP and in KZ / ZA raids, since we tend to go without warriors that would have Thunderclap. I'd like to know how much DPS it adds to my current setup.

sequence reconstruction
I have been useing Rawr the last few months - awsome application.
I just downloaded the beta 15 today, and once im done setting up the buffs and what not im heading into the Advanced tab to enable the sequence reconstruction and then the application freezes. I've tryed this multible times now, what am I doing wrong. I remember that it was rather time consumeing in beta 14.1 so I have been plenty patient with it before giveing up (up to 5 mins or so).
This is the mage module if that makes any diffrence - and im running Vista.
I cant seem to find other posts about this - so I guess im the one doing something wrong? What did I miss?
Sorry if this has been answered before and I missed it.
Once again - thanks to evryone involed in this great application.

In Rawr.Tree, weapons that only have stamina as a somewhat useful stat on them like [Umbral Shiv] are getting a HpS rating > 0. Survival rating would make sense, but HpS?

It will display a heal/sec rating of 0 if you remove your weapon enchant (81 healing)

Items which don't have much use for a certain Rawr model is one of the things that negatively stood out when I tried the hunter model - although I assume other models "suffer" from the same issue.
No matter what slot, I have a whole barrage of caster- (which I can't just delete if I want to use Rawr for my mage as well) and healing cloth/leather show up. I figure they do so because these items have MP5 or Int on them, but I think Rawr.Hunter needs at least an option to filter out items that only provide mana/mana regen and nothing else. Nothing wrong with these stats on enchants and consumables but I doubt any hunter would ever equip leather or cloth armor with caster/healer stats just for the added mana.
In this regard it's inconsequential that [Enchant Boots - Vitality] is not an option for a hunter boots enchant I guess, and while we're talking about missing enchants, consider adding [Schematic: Biznicks 247x128 Accurascope] please.
More item issues I noticed: While theoretically (very) useful, hunters cannot make the leather engineering goggles [Schematic: Quad Deathblow X44 Goggles] and [Deathblow X11 Goggles] even tho the actual items don't have class restrictions, and projectile bags can be added to items but won't show up as valid selections for the actual projectile bag slot in Rawr.Hunter as they don't import anything but their type and name. Manually adding 235.5 haste rating does the trick, I'm not sure if this treats the quiver bonus correctly though.

Yeah, we've removed cloth and thrown items from the Hunter model for 15.1. Quivers aren't fully implemented yet, don't bother using them. I'll see about getting those enchants included by default.

Sincere apologies, I had checked only the other day and it was still only updated to 14.1.
EDIT: In fact, the first post still says the current version is 14.1, it is only after following the link that it is seen the current version is 15.

Filtering out the Deathblow goggles is tricky, because on the item itself, as you mentioned, doesn't technically have a class restriction, so its not ignored by the default item filters. What I'll probably end up doing is adding some code to add the class restriction when the item is scraped from the armory.
I've removed cloth items entirely; however, leather healing items will probably still show up for the near future.
The quiver bonus is already hard coded as 15% haste into the model until the quiver slot is fully implemented so you don't need to manually add haste. (there seemed no reason to prioritize that to get it done over the other outstanding items due to the fact that all quivers at 70 add 15% haste, the only difference is the number of slots, which doesn't matter to the model.)

"Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the appt. will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the appt. will close immediately"
"there was an error generating the XML document"
Now after this i can click continue and it continues, only problem is with i click "file" and then click "load from armoury" it load my charaters stuff all the and its all correct. but i cant see any upgrades or what is better. then only gear i see on the right side. is druid gear. plz help someone!

So I'll just wait for a proper implementation of quivers then, and the removal of cloth items will be much appreciated (since I'm not playing any healers I can deal with healing leather/mail by removing it). Thank you for the reply and your efforts.
