4 people have mentioned this now, but none of us are able to reproduce it. Can you get reliable repro steps, and if so, please zip up your whole Rawr folder and send it to me (cnervig@hotmail.com)?

Yes, but there's a bit more than I'd like that you have to do in the model for this, currently. I'm expecting to improve this significantly for the next major version, b15. Currently, there's an automatically generated talent form, with images and everything, but it's kinda buggy. I'll take care of fixing it up for b15.
"Will there be options to filter comparison items by source? (zone/badge/etc)"
No, but I'd love it if there were. Currently the ability to implement something like that is limited by the lack of data on the subject. The armory's data on source is incomplete or vague in alot of cases, which would make this sort of feature a nightmare for users.
|
Cool. I shall keep that in mind.
It might be possible to filter things by the source that shows on the item when you hover over it, assuming that that information is in a field that can be searched on easily.

Is the proc of the Shattered Sun Pendant of Acumen not modelled? In addition to not showing anything related to the proc in the item description, Rawr values it roughly around what I would value it if it had no proc.
@Kavan
I noticed the dps value of most items go down if I activate Automatic Armor. (I have for default activated Molten Armor, set fight duration of 8 minutes and no shadow priest or JoW) Does this mean the dps value of the items is calculated on the assumption of having enough mana and not averadged out considering input things like fight duration and mana regeneration methods availability?
Another Question: In the Warlock model, if Rawr shows an avg. SB noncrit of ~3400, an avg. SB crit of ~6800 and a crit rate of 26.4, how can it also show the avg. SB hit to be ~5900, much closer to the avg. crit than noncrit despite having a crit:noncrit rate of 1:3?
I ask that because Rawr shows a warlock in my guild to be able to do 2200 dps with a mix of Kara/ZA gear. She does in reality around 1500-1600 dps if all goes well and I am quite sure she plays really well and there wouldn't be too much room for optimizing the playstyle.
Yet another question about the optimizer: What does optimizing for overall rating really mean, if I may ask? When optimizing for my mage I usually set the optimizer to opimize for dps rating but I'm always curious if I should rather use overall rating.

Reason: Clarified question at Kalvan, added Warlock model question and yet another question about the optimizer

Shattered Sun Pendant of Acumen is not modeled in Rawr.Mage yet.
Does the dps of the solution also go down when you activate automatic armor? If so then I'd be interested in getting an xml of that or some repro steps as that shouldn't happen.

I should have thought of that myself... Activating automatic armor increases dps, as it should. So I am right in my assumption about the calculation of item dps values not depending on mana constraints?
Edit: Now it gets interesting. I just ran the optimizer and [Tormented Demonsoul Robes] received a [Forceful Seaspray Emerald]. So I was wondering if I shouldn't rather put a [Reckless Pyrestone] in there but this droped my dps from 1522.13 to 1496.81. Now if I had added more haste this way I could have run oom (but even then should have put out the same damage in the same timeframe, or am I wrong with that?) but how can changing from 7 stamina to 6 spelldmg lower my dps as this does not increase mana consumption but increases mana efficiency?

Item dps comparison should depend on all the constraints. Is it possible that the forceful emerald was in there to activate the meta gem?

Of course it was. Why didn't I think of that? Sorry for stealing your time.

Seems the 4-piece set bonus from arena moonkin gear set hasnt been modelized in version 14
Any hope to get it done in the future ?
Thanks for your work so far

Temporary Buffs for Moonkin module
Firstly, thank you for putting the time and effort into creating Rawr. It is appreciated!
Would it be possible to get some more relevant temporary buffs added to the moonkin module? Currently all of the temporary buffs are tanking related (either health or agility increases). If possible could you add heroism, drums of battle/war and destruction potions?

I apologize for not getting it in b14. It's somewhat of a trick to model, but hopefully I'll be able to find a way to slip it into the new calculation engine.
[edit] And to the poster above: I'll have to check. I think the buffs are in there, they're just not being filtered properly. Or something like that.

Couple items as I fiddle with the new b14 version. Druid. Jheusse from Silver Hand if you want to load and see.
I get some items listed that can't be equipped, specifically 2 crossbows show up in the ranged slot in the comparison window.
Also get a few isolated cases of items that rawr can't find and pops up a dialogue saying so, with "reverting to previous data" when I try to refresh the info. Ring of Hardened Resolve in bear model is one example.
I see a threat component now, will have to tinker with it and find the TPS report.
Is Rawr tuned enough that I can use it to figure out an optimal mixed resist set? (Hydross offtank, which I've been obsessing over prep for weeks). I assume I'll have to edit in AH green resist pieces manually to build my "pool of available gear" and then delete out the pieces in my primary set that I won't regem from the Optimizer list. Or is there a better way?
edit:
The optimizer also seems to have this love of putting in all epic gems even when I went through and carefully made only blue gems available and clicked known gemmings in the optimizer setup. What am I doing wrong?

Aye, sorry about ranged weapons showing up for Ferals in b14, we'll have that fixed for b14.1 on Wednesday.

Right, those are items which aren't on the Armory yet.

It should work fine for building a resist set. Let me know if you have any trouble with it.

Eek, Ast, you replied so quickly my edit didn't have time to get done. (I got excited when Legionkiller showed as an upgrade, then laughed at myself).
For the optimizer could we get an option that forces gems to only Rare quality, or somehow avoids the problem I noted above?
I also ran a cat optimization and it equipped two copies of my quest prize ring, any way to avoid that, or is it just a quirk to be accepted and overcome?
For further down the road could the ability to flag an item as potential dual use (Vind Dragonhide bracer, some of the S3 and badge loot) be viable? un-socketed gloves are always dual capable since the enchant is agi, chests and cloaks can also often be dual use.

Send me the character file, if you only have rare gems marked as available, it should only use rare gems in All Gemmings results. If you use Known Gemmings, it should ignore what gems you have marked as available, and instead use the known specific item gemmings for items you have available.

Actually I know what's happening. He's got epic gems in available gear, but only normal gems as available. We have to disable gem mutations when only existing gemming is used.
