some of the gemming for hunters is coming up odd, as in part it suggest strength gems instead of agi gems and also spell damage gems.

See the readme. You can edit the gems in any item you want, just right-click, edit. Most likely hunterish gear with str gems were added with retadins in mind, but there's no reason you can try them out with agi gems or whatever you want.

First, I just want to thank everyone who's contributed to the Rawr project. From what I've seen so far it is an excellent gear evaluation tool.
One bug I noticed in the hunter module (not sure if it's present in the others as well, haven't had a chance to check) is that for the trinket comparison, it doesn't scale the graph properly.

Interesting, thanks for the report. Dwin, wanna take a look at that? Typically that happens when one of the items in the chart has a negative or null rating. Sarutobi, can you post the character file that that happens with (or will it reliably happen with even a blank character)?

Apparently I'm blind and don't see an option to add an attachment to a PM so I guess it'll have to go here.
I don't see any trinkets with negative values anywhere in the graph, however, there are ~4 that show up on the bottom with no DPS value (All caster trinkets except for DST (no idea how that is showing up with a value of 0, probably another bug that we should be looking into.))

That works, thanks.
For almost every issue that anyone has with Rawr, we're gunna want to see the character that it occurs on, and any way of getting it to us is fine; posting it here, posting it as an issue on our Rawr - Home site, e-mailing it to me, IMing me, etc.

I played around with the Tankadin model for the first time today, and while it's a good start, there's still a lot to be done. Here are my initial impressions:
-- Balance between mitigation, survival, and threat components in significantly unbalanced to the point where the "overall" ranking is not meaningful. That affects all slots, but is particularly notable in the neck, ring, and back slots, where you have to scroll way down to find tanking options as the top choices are spell damage pieces. Ideally people should be able to alter the relative weights of threat, mitigation, and survival, but certainly the default weighting of threat needs to be turned way down.
-- Hit, Expertise, and Spell Hit currently have no effect of threat in the model....these stats do play a role in Tankadin threat, especially Expertise at late-game gear levels.
-- The mitigation/survival terminology is not something I'm used to seeing. Typically in the Tankadin community the division is expressed in terms of mitigation (effective health related, e.g. stam, armor, block value) and avoidance (miss/dodge/parry). If you want to use the existing terms to be consistent with other modules, the tooltips should explain at least roughly what the terms mean.
-- TPS calculations look to be on the low side, though I haven't dug into this in detail yet. At a minimum, it's not taking into account the threat gains you"ll get from the mana returns on Spiritual attunement.

Aye, the Tankadin model's TPS calculations are incomplete, and we hope to have them complete in b16. I've passed your feedback on to our Tankadin dev. Also, check out the Options tab, I believe there are sliders there for setting the weights of the different ratings. Thanks for the great feedback.

Ah yes, I found the sliders. Those sliders and the armor slider should be changed to just text boxes though I think because there are too many values to select one precisely, and this is especially needed when it comes to armor. Also, the Threat slider scales from 1 to 1000, but the default setting of 100 is already way too high, so that variable should be rescaled.
Another general suggestion as far as usage:
I generally dislike the redundancy of several different gemmings of the same item as I personally feel it makes it harder to see the range of options available, therefore I generally use the "fill all sockets" option with reasonable gems and remove duplicates....then I just have to tweak an occasional item or to based on the quality of the socket bonus. The problem with this approach is that it this gem application isn't specific to a character, so when I apply this gemming to my mage all the Tankadin items get misgemmed and vice versa. It'd be nice if my gem preferences where saved specific to the character, so that for example I had the following gems preferences used for comparison when my mage was open:
red -- veiled noble topaz
yellow -- veiled noble topaz
blue -- glowing nightseye
meta -- chaotic skyfire diamond
but when I switched to my Tankadin the following gem preferences would be used:
red -- solid empyrean sapphire
yellow -- solid empyrean sapphire
blue -- solid empyrean sapphire
meta -- powerful earthstorm diamond
Related to this, it'd be nice to have a "remove all duplicates" function, instead of having to go through it item by item.

I'll pass on the suggestions about the sliders. Yeah, we're significantly improving how you create and manage different gemmings, but that won't be in b16, that'll wait til Rawr 2.0.

Feature Request
I don't know if this has been requested, but is there a place were Stat Values of the current set are shown. Inculding values of set bonus like 2T4 on Feral set. Would it be possible to show the value with the buffs given, because Stat values are moving a bit over the progression in gear I thought. At least the ones for 2T4.

Check under All buffs and see "Malorne Harness 2 Piece Bonus", giving its value using your current gear

Ok, missed that in the buffs.
Still I like the transfer Toskk is running in his calc in the middle coloumn of comparing a single stat point to AP.

That's already available too: Relative Stat Values chart. Note that just like Toskk's, those aren't 'weights' that it's calculating based on, those are the results of the calculations, and those relative stat values are not used in other calculations anywhere.

Nifty little program, love it
Curse of Shadow and Curse of Elements are still both listed, since last patch they were just Curse of Elements.
Rawr lists both of them in it's debuff tab. Not sure if this is intentional, but just the same there it is.

Bug/Issue: Could it be that Thick Hide is preset for Baers? At some point bears could move away from thick hide due to exceeding the armor cap.

New Feature Suggestion: Gem choices\setup
I often seen very weird setups for gems 'clogging' up the gear listing each time i get a new version. I also hate how JC gems appear all over place, often multiple time in once piece of gear when they are unique-equip. It is annoying to have to clear out all the junk to see likely upgrades. I have several alts, who are hybrids, with multiple sets of gear each and clearing out and making optimal gemed gear is often a pain each time a new release comes out. Especially when bad geming or dual\tri JC gems can make an item look great or sub-par.
A cool new feature would be to add an auto gem\regem option. It would
1. clear out all duplicate on all pages.
2. Allow for the blocking of gems. Specifically JC only Gems and unique-equip gems.
3. Create new duplicates of all gear with preset geming options or maybe just the X best gem setups for each based on a quick optimization routine. As a moonkin i often want to see pure s.dam vs s.dam\haste
Another cool 'new' feature, which might be harder to do without a lot of effort, would be to allow filtering of gear based on source. On my alts, i know they won't be visiting sunwell, but i'd like to gear then as best i can for where they can go. If i could filter the gear listings with things like T5 instances, badge gear, crafted, profession requirements, heroics etc

Carlos: Thick Hide is assumed. Dropping Thick Hide is almost never a smart idea. However, to account for that 'almost', talents will be customizable in Rawr 2.0.
Kaug: These features are planned for Rawr 2.0.

Excellent.
In the interim. Is there some way to safely move my 'gear cache' from one version to the next? I don't mind clearing out duplicates\making my preferred gem selections once but doing it with each upgrade is @#$#@$. Can i just copy the ItemCache.xml from version to version, and\or are there other files i'd need\should to move as well?
hmm that might be another feature to include. A button to load the item cache etc for old version of rawr.

Just copying the ItemCache.xml over will work fine (though you won't get the new items added to the default itemcache in that version, of course. Nothing stopping you from adding any new items you want, though, either way.)

Is there an option to add iFF to the spell rotation? I know it is 0 dps and have read it is usually 3-5% loss dps but i would like have the ability to see what effect it actually has at various gear levels and if some spell rotation would be less effected than others (seems like a heavy dot rotation would be less affected but probably still lower dps overall)
One more suggested feature. Allow us (my main is a moonkin, btw) to pick spell rotation(s). I would like this so i can run the optimizer for different fights, ie a MF+SF for low movement\interrupt fights and a dot heavy+wrath for high movement\lots of interrupts fights.
PS Thanks for all the quick replies

As an aside - if you wanted to remove thick hide manually, you could simply add a buff that removed a certain amount of armor as a percentage. It can be added to the buffcache.xml file.
