I'm not sure what you mean by 'save the default gemmings between sessions.' The default gemming tool sets the gems you choose in all relevant items in the itemcache. As long as you don't end task Rawr or something, it'll save the ItemCache between sessions. You should only use the default gemming tool once. If you want multiple gem schemes, note that it does allow you to make multiples at once.

Yes, it saves in the gear itself - but there are sometimes when Rawr overwrites these for whatever reason and then you have to redo it all over again. Happened to me a few times today while using the update tools.

IIRC DPSDK only has the option of comparing against 70-73 bosses not 80-83, similar to the Ret bug.

The same for me, did it twice, both on pretty good machines and it took atleast an hour and it was definately not the most stressful time for wowhead.

I'm not sure if this is the enhancement shaman module or just rawr in general, but the armor values in the Options tab only allow you to set armor as high as 9000, and from what I understand the WotLK bosses are over 10k armor.

To elaborate slightly on this: In Rawr.Moonkin, as I believe is the case with Rawr.Mage, most trinkets are handled by calculating the effective worth of the proc for each cast cycle being calculated. It's not trivial to add a new trinket, but I wouldn't say it's terribly difficult, either; all I really need are the proc rate (PPM, % chance on hit) and internal cooldown. The fact remains that trinket calculations in Rawr.Moonkin will probably be lagging behind a bit until all the data are properly fleshed out. All that to say this: If a trinket's proc hasn't been calculated yet, it won't show up as having any stats, and so won't show up on the Upgrades list. Version 2.1.2 has some of the basic blue/purple trinkets, but it's not comprehensive by any means.

Yes, the item editor is absurdly slow. Specifically, loading lots of items into the listview on the left is absurdly slow. So that means that just opening the item editor takes forever, and so does messing with the filter. However, if you right click on an item and choose edit, it starts out filtered to just that item, so it's nice and fast, so use that if you just want to edit specific items. Obviously, redesigning the item editor to be fast is near the top of my TODO list, aiming for 2.2 for that.

Zurm just checked in a round of changes to the Ret model, and said he would be making similar fixes to DPSDK soon. I'll try to get a new version of Rawr out within the next day or two, for the Ret changes.

For the item editor - would it help to purge all TBC items from the list? Or do people still find Sunwell stuff usefull at 80? If that's the case then they can still load in the items I guess.

Working with item filters I discovered that Wowhead seems to be returning location values of "Heroic Naxxramaxx" which of course breaks anything you're trying to filter using the proper spelling.

Would it possible to have the drop/purchase/whatever location of the item visible in the right hand panel without having to mouse over it? Maybe a toggled option?

Vantage, try refreshing data from Wowhead on just those items, then unequipping and reequipping them. You may have Armory data, which doesn't have the set data correct.

Thank you, had to change pieces in those slots and refresh the item from wowhead, then re-equip them. i tried with the items equipped and it didn't work.




PS. while working through Rawr.Cat it seems that the Grim Troll Trinket even when selected in either location still shows up as a upgrade. the same holds true for the Surge Needle Ring. i have updated the items from wowhead and reloaded them etc, and they still show up as a upgrade even when selected in a slot.

I'm not sure what you mean about Grim Toll and Surge Needle Ring. Do you mean that they shouldn't show up in the chart for the second slot if they're already in the first? The Optimizer respects uniqueness, but beyond that, it's up to you to explore the options.

correct, they're selected in one of the two slots respectively yet they are still showing up as options as an upgrade. under direct upgrade's.

I'm not able to select Lesser Inscription of the Axe in shoulder enchants. Also, there's a duplicate name "Master's Inscription of the Axre" available.

A new problem with Versio 2.1.2: If I rightclick on an item to open it with a browser (wowhead) the program crashes almost every time. Does anyone else have this problem? I cannot rightclick on enchants to open their wowhead-pages. Is this normal?

Some ideas for future versions , because with dozens of items and often with items in different gem-setups the lists tends to become very large:
1) Number the items from 1 to x in the item list on the right side of the screen.
2) Always show the currently equipped item in the item list on the right side. With dozens different gem combinations and items even finding your own equipment in the list is sometimes difficult.
3) Smaller rows to show more items on one screen.
4) Don´t break the item name if the name is too long, write it in one line

Don't offer EVERY gem variation for each item. There are only 2 gemings per item at max
1) Best gem with the best stats in ever socket, no matter of the socket color
2) Best gem which matches the socket color in every socket to get the socket bonus

It just boils down to:
Best gem overall in every socket > Matching socketcolors + Socketbonus

For non-JC there maybe sometimes a third one to match metagem requirements.

And when we have it with gems, Rawr does not have them all, and it rates them very awkward, TBC rare gems > WotLK epic ones? :S
