Rawr doesn't rate stats, or rate gear by giving a value to its stats. Rawr rates gear by the effect that item has on your character. The difference in total rating between the character with that item equipped, and the character with that slot empty, is the value of that item. If you're not seeing a value of haste, it's probably because you're going OOM with the current fight parameters. Make sure you have everything fully filled out (items, enchants, buffs), and adjust the fight options to the correct duration that you want to compare for, probably downrank some, and then look.
I'll see about adding haste to the Relative Stat Values chart for the next version.
Hi. I've been makin heavy use of the optimiser in Rawr and find it excellent, particularly in working out the best way to hit crit immunity with the gear I have.
My problem now is that I wish to use my Vengeful Helm for both tanking and DPS, with the DPS enchant, RED & Agi gem. I have worked out how to specify the enchant, and have deleted all other gem combos for that item, but when I run the optimiser (whether or not I tick "Override Regem) it always uses the Veng Helm with the stam gem & meta and creates the new gemming in the item list (the enchant is the correct DPS one though).
Is there an easy way to force it to use the gemming I want for the helm?
There certainly is. Click on the green diamond next to that item in the chart, then ctrl-click it to mark just that specific gemming available only, with a blue diamond. You can also right click on the diamond to specify a specific enchant as well.
OK. Really confused now. I have deleted all duplicates so only the gemming I want is there. I have control-clicked on the item to make the diamond blue, and right clicked to specify the enchant I want.
So the item has a blue diamond with a red dot next to it. I use the optimiser (with or without the options ticked) and every time I end up with the wrong gems. Is this a bug or am I still doing something wrong?
No, don't delete the gemmings you don't want, actually unmark it, then mark it blue. You've currently it universally available (green), and then also marked that specific gemming/enchant available as well (blue). Unmark it completely, then just mark it blue, and set the enchant.
I think Rawr.bear has some equations off for actual defense and defense rating. I found that rawr is telling me I am crit immune with a gear set, but then I equip it in-game and run my macros / mods to calc it and I am crittable.
Could you double check the defense enchants for chest and wrists, as well as the resilience to chest?
No, those are correct. There's no problem there. Most likely, your in-game macro is rounding wrong, if you're very close to the uncrittability mark, or you have some enchants/items/buffs set wrong in Rawr.
Can you post a character file that it doesn't find the optimal gear commonly, in an Issue on our Rawr - Home site? There's alot of tweaking we can do, so we can probably make it smarter about these situation.
Finally got around to uploading this file (pending my account on CP being activated). Details:
The attached character .xml has been run through the optimizer, this is the result, showing 1573.78 RawDPS (which is the value I'm optimizing by). By switching the gem in the blue socket in the boots to a Glowing Nightseye, thus activating the meta without needing the Staff, I can equip the Badge dagger and jump to 1597.43 RDPS, a far-from-trivial jump.
