regarding the darkmoon card, make sure the bonus is set to spell power and not spell damage. I had the same problem but doing that switch around fixed it for me.

I just downloaded 2.0.2 and took it for a spin. I have set up the buffs, set the fight duration to 180secs - even tryed to set the bonus spirit% to 1k to eliminate any mana-issues. Now looking at my gear I see some strange gemming here and there. Take for instance: Im useing the t6 shoulders now and a nice upgrate would be the Amice of the convoker ofcourse - Rawr to my sureprise thinks I should gem it with 6SP 2mps in the red and a 10 int in the yellow... this pattern I see in more cases - what gives?

Did I miss some buffs or whats up with that?

What exactly do you mean by rawr is suggesting to gem 6sp 2mps? Are you just seeing it higher in the list on the right? On the list of gems I see Glowing and Royal give you the same dps increase (because you're not mana limited), Glowing having a slightly higher score due to survivability. The only time Rawr will suggest something to you is if you use the optimizer and in this xml I don't see anything selected as available for optimization.

Ok "suggest" I guess was a bad phrasing on my part. But when I choose the shoulder slot, and sort by DPS I would think the item at the top of the list would be the item with gems that improves my DPS the most. With that in mind im just surprised to see the Amice with a Brilliant in the yellow socket and a Royal in the red socket at the top. Since this - to me atleast - looks like choices for a setup that's mana starved, I was just wondering if I missed something in the setup. I would have expected to see a Reckless or so in the sockets.

The list on the right is limited by what gemming combinations you have in the item cache. If something is higher on the list all it means is that swapping to that item will give you higher dps under assumption that you don't make any other changes. My guess is that that brilliant/royal combo shows high because of meta gem requirements. If you want to find which gem combination is the best then I would strongly advise you use the optimizer.

We've considered porting it to Silverlight. It has quite alot of potential problems, though, and is quite alot of work. It's not high on our priority list.

Are you an active DPSWarr / RestoSham / Tree / Elemental theorycrafter that also happens to be an experienced C# dev? Help us turn Rawr into "A theorycrafting tool for everyone!"!

Are those 3 specs already being worked on, and you simply forgot to update all parts of your signature ?

Also, how much actual programming knowledge is needed ? Is starting the work on one of these modules something someone without any prior programming knowledge (but an interest in theorycrafting) can do ?

Those specs have been made, but they haven't been updated to the newer versions...so you can find the model in the program, but it just wont be up-to-date. (I think)

Also, while it probably depends on your level of dedication, it's not something I would recommend for someone without any programming knowledge. It requires some basic understanding of inheritance, references, and programatical mathematics.

Just as a heads up, the Death Knight DPS model is almost complete. You can probably expect it in the next major release.

You can also use the re-gemming tool Tools > Set Default Gem... to add new gems sets and to delete old ones. NOTE: Running this takes a LONG time. Or at least it does if you set up 3 gem sets and have it delete all others.

On "mana starved or not" look on the stats page. Scroll down and you'll see various rotations, the dps of each and oom time. If you are planning for a 25 raid just click a buff in every category since almost everything is raid wide. If you see a OOM time something is wrong

Where they're similar, they're one model (mages, rogues, warlocks, etc.). Where they're not, they're not (paladins, druids, priests, etc.)

Well the models are usually for dps, healing, or tanking. The math behind them is different, as well as the comparisons, so we make different modules. The Death Knight DPS module covers all three trees, but they are (in the context of the module) all for DPS.
