Thanks for the tip. Found the issue, Valorous gloves were just Nightsong Battlegear set, while the Conqueror gloves were part of the Conqueror's Nightsong Battlegear set. I deleted the Conqueror's part and problem resolved!

Can lightweave embroidery be added to the shadow priest model? If it is there forgive me I cannot seem to find a place to add it. Also concerning the shadow prist model on the main stats display under basic stats it is displaying the hit % with holy spells, the mouse over show both shadow and holy however.

How is the hunter model progressing? I used Rawr a long time ago, liked it because it has some interactive options that are wonderful, but switched away because it was, at the time, quite inaccurate. I just tried downloading and adding everything back, but I'm at 3950 DPS or so. Spreadsheet puts me at 5309 DPS, which is where my dps is actually around although it's not because the spreadsheet is super accurate. Noticeably my pet DPS is at 241, which is quite a bit lower than the actual 800 dps it is. Spreadsheet says it should be 1260. Hunter dps is at 3716 in Rawr, which is closer but not quite where it should be. Spreadsheet is at 4000, which is also a little low.
I've added all buffs, armory tool took care of gear, enchants, gems and talents. Although I can't find pet talents anywhere though.

Shadow Priest model still needs to be updated to 3.1. I will add Lightweave Embroidery while I'm at it. The model itself can deal with both Holy "dps" and Shadow dps, so the hit chance is for any spell before bonuses from talents to specific schools.

Thanks, also noticed that it is listing staffs with 63 spell power enchants (81 spell power being the best now).

I think that may be a generic limitation within Rawr. You basically gotta pick the Staff and change enchant manually (Or use optimizer). I'll take a talk to Astrylian about it.

does anybody else have a problem with adding items?
since there are some ulduar loots that are not yet in rawr, ive been adding some items with Edit Items -> Add. But with some items, they appear in the list of the Edit Items window, but when i click ok, they are not available and arent anymore in the Edit Items list when i open it again.
I dont know if it has something to do with the items, i just noticed that the Boots of the Petrified Forest couldnt be added, but i had no problem with the Cover of the Keepers.
i tried with a new character, with wowhead and armory, with item ID, name, and URL, but none of it worked

Astrylian, is there any way to de-emphasize or reduce by a scaling factor the overall effect SD has and what the uptime is? I'm getting values that are more highly valued for SD uptime/blocking that don't seem to remotely measure to what actual raid values are in terms of uptime, which makes things like AP much more valuable than they probably should be. I realize that simulating latency/bugs in SD isn't the job of Rawr, but if there was a way to either reduce the overall scaling of SD by a scale (like 75%) or by a set percentage, I think that would help some.

Work is starting up on the Hunter model, but it'll be a while til we have something releasable.
GodInHell, there's no known issues of that sort. Can you be (alot) more specific about your issue?
kalbear, I don't intend to add any sort of scaling factor to SD's effect. However, I do want Rawr's modeling of SD to be accurate. How are you measuring SD's effect in-game? (Uptime is not an accurate way to measure the chance to block an attack) What latency/bugs do you see with SD that change its value?

Uptime isn't accurate, but it's still lower than what Rawr says it should be, and those should be fairly correlative; in other words, it shouldn't be the case that it is up less often than what Rawr says it should be.
I'm primarily using WWS to determine what the overall absorption rate is for a given fight and looking at the number of procs vs. the number of absorbed hits to determine what the uptime should be. For example on the XT fight I had, I had a total of 54 absorbed hits out of 147 total physical hits. Part of that was a low avoidance rate, but compared to the 197 SD procs I received that was a pretty low rate overall.
The primary bugs I've seen that effect this directly are that sometimes, a crit will occur, you'll be hit, and then you'll get the shield - meaning you'll get more overwrite shields than you'd normally predict. The other thing that happens is that sometimes you'll have a shield, crit, lose the shield because of that crit, and then get hit - thus having no absorption happen at all.
I've done some preliminary analysis of these things at my blog and they seem to be the exact same issues seen during PTR testing. Other druids have sent me their WWS, and their numbers are pretty well in line with mine.

I'm confused. Uptime specifically *isn't* useful for SD, because uptime doesn't matter. The % of blocked hits does matter. If you only absorbed 54 out of 147 hits on XT, that sounds like something major was wrong, because there's no way you should have a ~1/3 block rate, even just auto attacking. How does critting while you've already got a shield take away that shield? Latency shouldn't affect the block rate, because it's all smooth; you're just as likely to delay a proc til after a hit, than you are to have delayed the previous proc to after the previous hit.
Also, I took a look at your blog, and was shocked by the terribly flawed math in that post. Please take care when spreading your ideas to mass audiences, that when you present data as fact, that you check that they are in-fact, facts.

RAWR Warlock shows me some strange Numbers.
Selfbuffed(Spellstone,Fel Armor and Faire Fire for Hitcap in both) it gives me 4056 dps for 0/40/31, and only 3286 for Affliction 53/1/17.
Glyphe, pet, spell priority settings where all done in any combinations.
Testing on Training Dummy show different numbers(also latest Ulduar Raids).
All test were done with dummy above 35%.
with 40/31 i get 3300-3500dps(depends on critluck) sometimes burst up to 3600dps
with 53/1/17 i get easily 3600-3700
Thats a huge diff.

Sorry to bother but i'm strangely having problems using rawr now ( i used it times ago with no problems).
Basically now i can't even start the program since when i formatted my pc.
Every time i try to start rawr i get an error that says:
"Rawr.exe - Application Error"
"Application not correctly initialized (0xc0000135). Press ok to close the application"
Basically i'm thinking i lack libraries of some sorts that rawr need to work but i can't find what i need, is rawr developed in some particular system or those it need some framework/dll's installed? ( that i probably had before formatting for some reasons i don't know)
If someone can help me i'll be really grateful.

This exact question is answered in the readme file included with the program. In the future please do more work to look for a solution yourself before asking.
Q: I get an error on load, "To run this application you must first install..." or "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135)." How do I fix this?
A: Install .NET Framework 2.0 from Microsoft. If it still doesn't work, uninstall .NET Framework completely, reinstall .NET Framework 2.0, and try Rawr again. Download link for .NET Framework 2.0 from Microsoft: Download details: .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package (x86)

Just as an update, the mangle/trauma-is-a-dps-loss bug appears to still be present in 2.2.1.0. Tested with both the existing character I linked previously, as well as creating a fresh version by loading a copy of myself from the armory.

For some reason of which I'm not sure of, I just find it happening every so often, the dragon's eye gems will no longer be in the gem list when i try to set a custom gemming.

I've disabled all premade gemming templates and added some of my own. Still, the optimizer still puts gems from the premade templates, like +16 str gems in yellow and blue sockets. How can I make the optimizer not do that?

The gemming templates only determine what gemmings are listed in the right-hand list pane or slot popups, AFAIK. The optimizer will consider any gem in any enabled template fair game for any socket. If you want to run the optimizer on specific gemmings, ctrl-click them in the list pane to mark those particular gemmings for optimization (they should be marked with a blue diamond, rather than the usual green diamond).

I'm having errors adding new items to the database. There are items in the armory that do not get downloaded using "Load Possible Updates From Armory". When I open an item in the armory to get the link and item number and enter it using the "Edit Items" screen. Previously I was getting an error that the item cannot be found, but can manually enter the stats. If I just put in a few of the stats and then right-click and "Refresh Item Data from Armory" it finds it and updates.
Right now I'm getting an unhandled exception and can't do anything with new items. This could just be because wowhead is currently under maintenance?

Yes, can't add items while Wowhead is in maintenence.
The Optimizer will replace gems in sockets of any items that aren't explicitly marked as only that gemming as available (blue diamond). The gems that it will use are any gems in any enabled gemming templates (if you have the option for that enabled, in the Options dialog), and any gems you have marked available.
If you're missing Dragons Eyes, try unchecking the 'Hide Unavailable Gems' filter. That's supposed to hide the epic gems which aren't available yet, but it may be being overzealous, I'm not sure.

You can use Rawr on Mac by using Mono; I do. It's pretty unstable and slow, with a lot of graphical bugs, but it gets the job done. There's instructions in the readme for how to download Mono and set it up. (Near the bottom; search for "Mac OS X" in the file.)
