I think Executioner hasn't been updated for 3.0 in Ret, since it's quite inferior now. We'll get it back when we can, so that you can see the difference, but I'm pretty sure Mongoose is just always better now, so we didn't bother with Exec modeling yet. Zurm/Avitus, confirm?

After browsing the threads quite a bit I could not find but a few posts about the enchant, Deathfrost. Most of the discussion centered around the utility of the enchant for raiding purposes, which come Wrath will be totally useless as the slow effect does not work on mobs higher than 73 (WoWHead data).

I've seen a number of Feral Druids lately citing emphatically that Deathfrost is the number one DPS enchant for PvE and while I normally do not take anything said on general forums at face value, I couldn't find any definitive answer for or against. Also according to WoWHead and others, it has no internal cool down and can proc off of literally anything, including DoT tics.

So my question is this: Would it be possible to model the DPS increase (however great or small) Deathfrost would provide for a Cat Druid using the various rotations on Toskk's DPS calculator and add it to Rawr?

If I missed a discussion about this elsewhere I'll kindly duck my head out and read it there. Thanks.

At first glance, I expect Deathfrost isn't really good for DPS. However, I'll give it a try, and see how it performs, and if there looks like there's any chance of it being useful for DPS, I'll implement it in Rawr. This won't happen for 2.1.0 though.

Also, update for everyone, we're pushing hard to get as much ready for level 80 content as possible, and are currently on target for the launch of Rawr 2.1 tomorrow, Wednesday.

As a quick note since I am in a hurry, it appears that the Major Healing to Weapon enchant is only being calculated as 40 spell power, while in-game shows up as 43 spell power. If this is known already or in the works, just delete this. Didn't want to let a minor error slip through this wonderful project. Keep up the good work.

What I've heard is that if you already had Major Healing on a weapon before patch 3.0, it turned into 43 spellpower. If you do the enchant now, post-patch, it gets applied as 40 spellpower. Weird discrepancy but probably not worth modeling in Rawr.

As a reference:

Thanks for the clarification, seems a bit odd on blizzard's end though.

It is because of the imperfect conversion between healing and spell power. The healing bracer converted was 16 damage vs 15 from the damage enchant, however the glove enchant converted was 19 damage vs 20 damage from the normal enchant.

A few spell damage difference doesn't matter (+3) for old enchants.

I am looking forward to the new release with the load from Wowhead button!

Rawr v2.1 RELEASED!

Download - Rawr - Release: Rawr 2.1

Rawr is now designed for use with WoW 3.0, primarily for characters up to level 80. Some things to note:
•We're not done. We've included only the models that have been updated for WoW 3.0; older models are available via our source control only, since they're not of much use until they get updated.
•To help you stay updated with the latest changes, Rawr will now check for new available updates, notify you if there's a newer version, and offer to open Rawr's website for you.
•We now have support for loading item data from Wowhead. Please note that the Wowhead parsing is brand new, so there are bound to be bugs. Please report any bugs you find, and we'll try to get them fixed asap.

Recent Changes:
v2.1: Updated for level 80 content. Removed models which haven't yet been updated for WoW 3.0. Added two brand new models: Enhance and DPSDK! Welcome to Rawr, Enhancement Shamans and DPS Death Knights!

Here's a quick rundown of the status of each model:
•Rawr.Base: Fully functional. Still want to implement a global interface for glyphs, but they're left up to each model for now.
•Rawr.Bear: Fully functional for level 80.
•Rawr.Cat: Fully functional for level 80.
•Rawr.DPSDK: Fully functional for level 80.
•Rawr.DPSWarr: Not updated for 3.0.
•Rawr.Enhance: Fully functional for level 80.
•Rawr.Healadin: Fully functional for level 80.
•Rawr.HolyPriest: Fully functional for level 80.
•Rawr.Hunter: Fully functional for level 80.
•Rawr.Mage: Fully functional for level 80.
•Rawr.Moonkin: Fully functional for level 80.
•Rawr.ProtWarr: Partially updated for 3.0 & level 80.
•Rawr.RestoSham: Not updated for 3.0.
•Rawr.Retribution: Fully functional for level 80.
•Rawr.Rogue: Not updated for 3.0.
•Rawr.ShadowPriest: Fully functional for level 80.
•Rawr.Tankadin: Fully functional for level 80.
•Rawr.Tree: Fully functional for level 80.
•Rawr.Warlock: Not updated for 3.0.

Rawr 2.1

Hi Astrylian,

Was just playing around with RawrKitty. I loaded my level 70 druid from armory (I know Rawr is for 80's) just to have a look at the changes. I did a quick "select" of all my gear, enchants & gems and did an optimise. Looking in the "relative stat values" tab, it shows the value of Hit & Expertise as zero and my optimised gear came out with 28 hit and no expertise.

I did another run with a manually created character and selected the best 5 items in each slot. After optimising, it still gives hit & expertise zero value despite only having 126 hit rating and 30 expertise rating.

Additionally, the Avoided Attacks, Crit Chance, Attack Speed and Armor Mitigation all read 0% (0sec for attack speed), although if you mouse over the asterix near avoided attacks it gives the correct % of attacks dodged and missing.

Other than that, Rawr is looking good at the moment - thanks for the work you put in.

Sorry to bother you again.

After running optimiser in RawrBear it shows all stats as only having a mitigation value ie. the bar is all red. There is now blue or green for the survival or threat points. It is showing Strength as the best stat (after weapon damage) which shouldn't be correct.

Also still show zero for hit and expertise. Expertise at least should have some value due to the reduced occurrence of increasing the bosses swing timer after a parry.

Thanks

I can't load my character from armory. I get the following error message:

Step Name: Get Character
Description: Rawr encountered an error retrieving the Character - Daisy@EU-Der Rat von Dalaran from the armory
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at Rawr.Armory.GetCharacter(CharacterRegion region, String realm, String name, String[]& itemsOnCharacter)

Something I'm missing?

Somehow in the 2.1 download pack, DpsDK and Enhancement shaman model dll are not included although in your note says they are fully functional in 3.0.

I downloaded the source code, in release compile mode the path for these 2 dlls are not set to data directory where in debug mode they are set properly.

Is there a work around, could someone upload these two dll's for people to pick up manually for now?

Ok I am running into a slight issue here. Im no computer whiz, but I generally know how to do things on my PC. I am unable to unzip and install the RAWR file on my home PC. I have no idea why but after I unzip the file and go to run it, it tells me there is some weird error and the program wont run.

I have RAWR on my work PC and it works fine, it always have. If anyone has any advice for some sort of settings I can change or anything I can do differently to get this to work Id appreciate it. Thank you.
