Under Edit Itemfilters, I delete the Horde T9 and Horde Heroic T9 since I'm alliance, so you would want to delete Alliance T9 and Alliance T9 Heroic.
It removes pretty much everything thats Horde piece for me, except the Druid T9 Horde set, Runetotem since that has a different filter category I guess.
Would be nice to remove the Horde version of T9 too, but seems it may be a bit complicated. Probably have to have some variable Alliance vs Horde, based on the race when importing the character, then add a check when parsing armory for class restrictions. However, wowhead doesn't show if its horde or alliance version..so downloading from there probably will just cause problems. This new setup is a bit crazy.

Errr, what? Definitely don't delete filters. I'm not sure what you are trying to say, but that really won't help.

I'm having a very difficult time for the program to even run properly. It starts up and as soon as I try to do anything right after start-up it just freezes. I've re-installed the .Net Framework a few times and it's still giving me issues. I've heard of a few friends of mine having the same problem.

Freezes how? Any sort of "has stopped responding" message indicates something wrong with your system or hardware, not something Rawr specific, and that's what commonly is called 'freezing'. If there's an error message of any sort though, I can help.

No error messeges, it goes straight to Not Responding in the Task Manager once I try to click on anything. I deleted and unpacked a 2.2.13 a few times as well and the same problem. I'm running XP SP3 which shouldn't be a problem, at least i wouldn't think so. I'll try and DL 2.2.12 and see if I'm having the same problem.
EDIT: Hmm... It did the same thing with 2.2.12. Any ideas as to what it may be?

Unfortunately, that sort of thing means that it's a problem external to Rawr. The first thing to try would be reinstalling .NET, but you said you already did that... Did you full uninstall all versions of .NET, then reinstall 3.5SP1? If not that, perhaps some virus scanners are blocking Rawr from running? Beyond that, there's nothing easy to do, unfortunately. Things like testing for bad RAM, viruses and malware, etc.

Shouldn't Rawr use the epic gemming templates now by default for all models?

Hey there,
I'm trying RAWR out for the first time, and I just had a quick question/confirmation/etc. Reading the patch notes for the latest release (2.2.13 I think) it says that a great many improvements have been made to the hunter module, which is my primary area of interest. However the RAWR website indicates that most of the issues with the hunter module are scheduled to be fixed in 2.2.14 instead. So I'm a bit confused if the hunter module is already working properly or if it is still awaiting drastic improvement. It seems functional at least right now, though I haven't played with it extensively.
I also saw on RAWR's website that the hunter numbers are based off of the current theorycrafting spreadsheet, which is awesome and major props to the people who do the spreadsheet. However I'm wondering about stat weights and just wanted to confirm that different stat weights are taken into account for different specs. I do notice it providing me with AP gems instead of AGI for BM, which is correct, but in one place it appears to be valuing haste over armor penetration and/or crit, which I am fairly sure is not the correct choice (I.e. suggesting a +haste gem for a yellow slot and a piece of gear which would add haste but lose armor pen). Last I looked haste was pretty much the least useful of the dps stats and I don't believe that has changed so I felt like something might be off. I wanted to confirm that stat weights are acquired from a reputable hunter theorycrafting source and that I'm not just missing some checkbox hiding somewhere that I forgot to click.
If this becomes fully functional for hunter, would there really be any reason to continue using the spreadsheet instead of this? Assuming that the marvelous and wonderful theorycrafters who update the spreadsheet continue to help us out with their magic numbers? From what I can tell it serves the same function as the spreadsheet but with a better interface. Am I missing something that makes the spreadsheet preferable?
Thanks.

I use Landsoul's DPS Warrior spreadsheet alongside Rawr's DPSWarr module. The two are not mutually exclusive, but rather, complementary. Bringing in a simulator, like EnhSim or SimCraft, can be even more beneficial.
More in reference to your question, there are constant (nearly daily) updates on the Hunter module at this point. It does look to be chugging along nicely, though, and there looks to be a good deal more completeness for v2.2.14's Hunter module.
To Cremor: This is done on a module by module basis. A number of the default gemming templates should be updated for 3.2. However, there is nothing broken with the gemming templates in general - you can certainly mark the default Epic gemming templates as available, add custom Epic gemmings, and mark Epic gems as available to the Optimizer.

Yea, sure. It would be just for convenience. If Rawr would use the epic gemming templates by default, the user wouldn't need to change it on each update.

Re: Rawr.Hunter: Tons was updated in v2.2.13, and tons more is being updated in v2.2.14. iamcal has been a frelling machine of Rawr.Hunter code lately. Huge props to him for that, we really needed the help!

Are the tier 9 feral set bonuses modeled yet? When I remove the "Set Name" from items, the total dps value does not change. When I do this using tier 8 it does.

They are in the latest source, but not in v2.2.13. For reference, for me, 2T9 is ~160dps, 4T9 is ~75dps.

Possible RAWR enchanvement
I have been using RAWR for a while now and haven't been able to figure out an "easy button" for picking between new pieces of badge gear.
EXAMPLE:
I have 35 Badges of Triumph. Should I spend them to get the new T9 gloves or Shoulders? Or should I save up and get the pant? Maybe I should get the trinket?
SOLUTION:
RAWR has a dialog/process/whatever to say "pick ONE of these THREE" and determine the optimum gearset.
No clue on how feasible this is...but that would do WONDERS for me...instead of having to play musical green diamonds on my gear selection pages and optimizing a million times.
Thanks!

That would be possible to do, Sam, and quite easily.
Make sure your character is set up, you have everything needed for the Optimizer enabled, and then pull up the Optimizer window and hit "Build Upgrade List". This will take a while, but let it run its course. It will then calculate the upgrade enabling any single piece of gear would be for you, using the gear you currently have marked as available to swap in and out as needed. Then, just search down that list and take note of how much a DPS increase those three items that you have in mind would give you.
Wham-o!

What BWarner said. Additionally, a quick way to do that if you really want to compare a few specific items is just right click on them and choose Evaluate Upgrade, which builds an upgrade list of just that one item.

Thank!
I have used the "Build Upgrade List" before and have avoided it since it is so intensive. I guess that would be one way to get the information that I was looking for.
I still think it would be handy to create a "grouping" of gear and be able to set "i want to equip XX number of these YY objects"
But I don't write RAWR...I can only suggest! heehee!
Thanks for the prompt solution!

Speaking of the Build Upgrade List, is there anyway to disable some of the categories it searches? Seeing it search through 5 man and heroic gear, when I know all my upgrades will come from t8, is annoying.

Couple of issues / requests:
First, I can't figure out how to edit [Libram of Defiance] to show the proper effect; Hammer of the Righteous is not one of the triggers available for selection. (proc chance on HotR=80%, ICD=6-10s?)
Second, Theck has done some nice work on mathing out the avoidance and threat values of expertise; I'd love to see this modeled properly in the next version, assuming you've got someone helping you on the protpally model.

I've entered a passive value of 196 dodge rating (98% uptime) for now.
On another note, one thing that's confused me for some time is the gemming templates. Why do we pick multiple templates of gems rather than just selecting which 2 or 3 gems we would consider gemming for each particular color? I'm never sure if I've covered the combinations correctly when I actually have 3 different gems (give or take) that I might gem for each color. (yes, I know it's been around for a long time and I'm only now whining about it :P )
Edit: Another note, probably related to the whole mess that surrounds properly sorting ToC gear. Filters tend not to work very well for the new stuff - I've noticed a lot of 245 items become unavailable whenever I deselect hard mode gear. I suspect in most cases it's because the 245 & 258 items share the same name. Currently deselecting Horde gear does not make Horde gear unavailable; I'm assuming Horde/Alliance tags are still being sorted out.
Edit: I keep messing around with this, sorry, restless today. :P What would be nice is a feature to add or remove specific gear from consideration (mostly due to the filters not always being reliable). Say a simple right click on a gear piece from the dropdown or build upgrade list with the option Remove Gear from List or Make Unavailable or what have you. Also perhaps being able to right click and Add Gear to List via wowhead number or alternatives - exceptions to your filters, so to speak. (or items that didn't get imported correctly, I don't always seem to get everything when refreshing from Armory or WoWhead - particularly Armory)

All the filtering and source data for ToC10/25/normal/heroic stuff will be much improved in a future version; it bugs us too, don't worry.
Gemming Templates are there primarily for performance reasons; it's not feasible to just try all the different combinations when there's more than a couple viable gems. Instead, Gemming Templates are super fast, and cover 99% of the optimal gemmings (and it's easy to add that last 1% if you notice it missing). You probably have already seen it, but look at the help document on gemming templates if you haven't. As much as it may seem like you need a whole bunch of gemming templates, and that there's 3 gems for each color... that's really almost never true, and you can cut out several useless gemming templates. (It does happen occasionally, but it's rare.)

Survival Soft Cap for ToC hard modes?
Is the consensus to use the Hard Mode Heroic T8 Raids setting for both Survival Softcap and Target Damage(Raw) in the Bear model to get ready for 25 man hard mode ToC? Or should I use the Custom setting and move the numbers up to 220,000 and 100,000 respectively?
