We had our MT say on vent how much threat he had last night, since Omen wouldn't show him. It would, for me, occasionally not show my threat either. So, meh!
But, in theory, it does look nice!
Set omen 2 to auto-colapse just like old one, if you haven't already. That will expand the omen and show you top xx you need to see instead of just top threat. Or simply drag the window so it shows top 5 10 people all the time. I could be off the mark on the issue though.
Last night was pessimistic skydive in a foolish narcotic shell
Whatever you do don't turn omen2 to AOE mode during an AOE fight. I tried it on the first few waves of hyjal trash, i suddenly started getting one frame every 5 seconds or so and after about 30 seconds it just stopped and disconnected me.
Try updating your addons, it worked fine after the first night of the patch. Antiarc has been updating it 3-4 times a day.
Can anyone actually confirm that the level 62 requirement for Engineering goggles made it to live? I didn't see anything in patch notes and haven't found anyone on server to ask yet.

Confirmed on rogue ones atleast so can assume them all.
Also anecdotial, but I had the same experience. No less then 4 living ruby off 6 stacks of ore along with other gems. I got at least 1 blue per stack, often more.
This probably could do with some proper sample sizes though. If it is indeed increased, we should see wowheads numbers slowly start to rise soon.
34 gems from 38 stacks of ore. Really don't think there's any major changes here.
Mentioned this earlier, investigated it more. The int/spi regen mechanic change hosed hunter regen out of the 5 second rule. My hunter's resting mp5 dropped from 78.5 to 45, which is huge while grinding mobs; I had to drink roughly twice as often. This is further compounded by the fact that Aspect of the Viper appears to be broken. Hunters in raids should notice next to no difference in their regen, just because they're rarely outside the 5SR. Arena hunters will likely notice.
Nothing. It was alarmist ambulance chasing following the patch. I tested it yesterday and it appears to be working fine.
There are still issues with pets, however. It's being reported that they're not generating the threat they should be, especially boars. I've also read reports that the "pets attack from behind" mechanic is broken in 2.4 as well.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but Kill Command will no longer give you a warning that you are currently casting if you pop it during a cast like Steady Shot or Aimed Shot. It will just wait till the cast is over and then the Kill Command will commence.
I went to do my Netherwing quests yesterday, and discovered the little wall-hop thing to get up into the top level (to start clearing Ravagers) had been removed. Either that, or I was drunk ... because I couldn't get up there at all. And, as said earlier in the thread ... HOLY RAVAGERS, BATMAN.
Is the higher drop % on blue gems from mining a common observance? My wife has been getting on average one blue gem from each vein since 2.4, which is up considerably from her old totals.

The boar issue people are reporting is that the sequence now is Charge->Attack->Growl, where it used to be Charge->Growl->Attack. Previously the amount of threat from the Growl would be enhanced from the +AP of the Charge; with the new ordering, the attack removes the +AP prior to the growl. It was a fairly minor quirk with boars that made them a bit more desirable as tanking pets.
We noticed our pets not back-siding on Supremus, but wrote it off as the ramp behind him causing pathing issues at the time. Apart from that I don't recall where the pets were, I'll have to watch more closely tonight. I think one of the reports I saw about it mentioned it in PvP, so it may just be a PvP fix.

Yeah, I guess I'm just wondering if the boar change was intentional. If it was, there's really no point having a boar over something with Screech for farming/soloing anymore, imo.
Yeah, I hadn't really been paying much attention to the pet thing either. I noticed last night on Murmur that my pet was attacking from the side, but I had written it off as something quirky with the fight. It'd be a shame if pets started parry gibbing tanks because Blizzard broke their code.
Just to follow up on this, I watched my pet in MgT last night and it at least appeared to attack from behind most of the time, so that's encouraging.

That's just a side effect of the walljumping change. I got up there just fine yesterday, it just took a little more effort.
If everything else is truly equal (gear, skill, etc.) then the pure dps class should beat the hybrid. If a raid chooses to run without rogues, mages, warlock or hunters, they should expect their overall dps to be lower. You can quote me on that.
It seems like if your first chat window (aka DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME) will always have guild chat, money and item loot automatically enabled at login. Despite telling it to not have those three active in that frame.
Noticed something similar with the second chat frame always having the combat log (and I think no other frame can have it, either). I've had my combat log turned off for quite some time now, as I can get the information I need from it in other ways. After spending a day trying to get the combat log to just turn off (remove all but one filter, kill everything in the filter so it won't report anything, reports everything when I log in until I change the settings again), I just created a third window and destroyed the second so that it would work the way I wanted. It kind of surprises me that after putting so much effort into the combat log Blizzard hasn't added the option to turn it on and off per-frame, instead of just defaulting it to only the second frame.
The opposing faction city guild bank change has made it so Scryer/Aldor can no longer use each others guild banks. Minor annoyance when passing out gems and various items to guild members
It feels like they nerfed the amount of gems from Mount Hyjal; we got no epic gems at all and just some blues/some grey vendor trash that sold for 30 gold a stack (I think) from a full clear. I don't really see the logic but thats just me. We might have just been incredibly unluckly, can anyone confirm/deny?
Wow, has the easy-mode soloing tactic been fixed? (Standing next to the flight master once you have aggro and waiting until they multi-shot, for any of you that don't know)

We got more epic gems than normal, and no green gems at all. There were other reports in this thread that the epic gem drop has been increased as well, so you must have just gotten _really_ unlucky.

Nope! You can still do that. Works like a charm, although i do notice for the scryers that the dragonmaw attack squads start out much further away than before. Your blood elf allies also run out a bit further from the base than they used to.
Other than that, you can still cheese aggro from your base allies with the multishot trick should you so choose.

I think it's just your luck, our miner said they didn't notice any difference <speaking about luck, we got a lots of epic / heart from thrash in Hyjal today, about 3-4 Heart and 2-3 epic every 8 waves>
Twice last night we had a bug on teron.
Someone got the ghost debuff. They went to the back of the room. Then when their timer ran out they spawned constructs....but they didnt turn into a ghost...they just stayed alive. So the constructs came in and destroyed the raid. It happened on two different attempts, and then we got lucky and it didnt happen. Has anyone else had this issue?

We did Gorefiend last night and did not see any problems like you describe. Is it possible that it was just server lag? We've certainly had our share of that this week. On a similar issue to what you describe, we have had priests with Spirit of Redemption get killed by something other than the ghost debuff ticking down (like an incinerate or the shadow damage) and they never turn into a ghost. They just turn into an angel for the normal 15 seconds and then die while their constructs run free.
On our Karathress kill tonight, Tidalvess did not drop a single spitfire totem. Karathress himself did though.
Before that attempt we had one wipe on him due a tank death. In that attempt, however, he DID drop spitfire totems. So I guess it's more of a bug than anything else.
No, it was a shaman and a rogue. They didnt die and still had all their buffs, and they were able to come back to the fight and continue dmging the boss.

I thought it was the charge itself that generated the additional approximately 4.5k threat on top of the stun. Too bad really; before patch I could go full out after my Panzerpork charged in.

I'd be the first to shout "Onyxia deep breaths more now aswell!", but I had 4 (!) guildies whisper me about this today.
