The third time was when I hearthed to Shattrah on my druid. Zoned in, no problems, jumped down from the Scryer tier, hit Travel Form, ran for a couple of seconds and... I'm stuck. Same thing as on my mage, could only cast instant spells, couldn't log out, nothing.

I wrote a ticket about this, but the ticket was closed and I instead got an e-mail about a known issue regarding zoning and game freeze/disconnects or monitors going into sleep mode. They suggested running the repair tool, which I will do, once I get the full 2.4 patch downloaded. Still, I don't get disconnected nor does my monitor turn itself off, I just get stuck.

Oh, yeah, when I'm stuck, a lot of characters and NPCs seem to lag. This felhunter pet looked like it was on speed, just running in one spot, people flying by in what looked like a slideshow, choppy animations on nearby NPCs, etc.

And finally, the TL;DR version: I get stuck sometimes, so far mainly after zoning. Has anybody else experienced this?
Do mobs, NPCs and players change name or show up as "Unknown"? I think they have a fairly large known issue with that covered in WoW-Europe.com Forums -> Connection Issues. Browse it and see if anything light's up for you.

You can fire multiple shots per cooldown on the bombing run on quel'danas too, if you do bomb, click, bomb, click, bomb click you can get off up to four casts, although I usually get 2-3. Makes it easier to clear eredar sorcerors if they're tapped so you can get some on the way back out. I find it easier to press a key on my keyboard and click rather than mouse button in this case because it's harder with my mouse to use the thumb button and mouse1 fast paced like that and the left hand is free anyway. Bug existed since first release of PTR (and also existed for burning the sails in phase3 although it's useless in that phase) but despite changes to the way the bombs worked since then (like which areas you can bomb due to lag created by people bombing the PTR zerg at the SSO rep vendor) this was left in.

No, no connection issues at all, and I've never had the "Unknown" problem. Latency is also fine. Running the repair tool as we speak, and I've submitted yet another ticket, this time explaining that I don't get lockups, I'm just stuck. I doubt I'll get anything useful from them, though.

I've had this problem a few times with my pet that I haven't seen anyone else mention. Sometimes when in combat if my pet doesn't get Kc off or dies trying I get locked out of autoshot. I can't cast autoshot until I crit with another attack and successfully killcommand. Fd, dismiss pet, killing pet and rezzing pet do nothing to allow me to autoshot again. Its crit and Kc or no auto shot. Anyone else had this happen to them?

This isn't new to 2.4, and it's a side effect of the new "Instants won't delay auto-shot" system. When it gets stuck, you can also fix it by logging off and on.

You can also fix it simply by engaging another mob and using KC, if the situation permits. Still quite annoying, but at least they fixed the major auto-shot bug that was present on the PTR that required a logoff.

Does anyone know from the PTR or from having it unlocked already if you can use the "wrong" tier tokens to exchange for pvp gear? ie. Can a mage turn in a warrior/priest/druid token from Karathress for S2 pants?

No. PvP gear and PvE gear both have class restrictions. A Defender (T5 Warrior/Priest/Druid) token is for Warrior/Priest/Druid PvP gear.

No, it needed the right class token.

But a mage could use the T6 bracer token for pala/prie/lock to get the (Warlock style) Dreadweave S3 bracers.
At least the option to buy it was there for a mage.

That means that rogue/druid and paladin/warrior melee items might be buyable with the wrong set too. Might.

Don't know if this has been mentioned. Illidan's flame burst now all of a sudden drops your fps drastically for a few seconds. bit of video lag.

I'd just like to get some confirmation that the Lord Ahune event in Slave Pens, despite being tested on the PTR, is NOT currently on Live, correct?

Also, has there been a cited timeframe on when this is going to happen?

For all engineers that still carry arround garbage items:

All mechanical robots in Quel'Danas Outdoors and in MGT (including heroic) are mind controllable. Though they don't have any special abilities, stats or anything. So it's useless to controll them anyway.

When they're fighting you, the MrT robots have a chain lightning type ability that (I believe) procs on their melee attacks. Might be fun / worthwhile to try tanking a mob or two in one of the bigger pulls with a robot.

I ran a test after seeing both of your posts. It procs properly for a priest, even while using rank 1 flash heal. I'll keep trying with other spells and report back.

Every priest spell, even at rank 1 seems to work. Looks like its unique to paladin.

Pre 2.4, grenades and bombs caused damage only when a mob was stunnable and the Goblin Rocket Launcher caused damage regardless of whether a mob could be stunned. Post 2.4, a rocket only damages if the mob takes the stun and the grenades and bombs have been "fixed" as the patch notes state.

They seemed to have just switched the effects on these two items nerfing the rocket immensely, as it was a cheap way to get threat on trash pulls.

Mana Tombs normal mode won't get you Revered or Exalted, and there isn't any other dungeon I'm aware of that gets you Consortium rep. Or has this changed?

I guess you could count the dungeon dailies, but that would take a god awful long time. And not to nitpick, but aldor / scyer can't be gotten in any dungeon either, but I think the poster was really thinking about the normal faction that is associated with each dungeon, aka LC for auch, CE for Zangar, etc.

Consortium isn't considered one of the "5 dungeon reputations" for TBC. But yes, MT requires heroic for you to get consortium to exalted.

Have you noticed anything strange with the Flames in the Illidan encounter?

We had two warlocks pull aggro on the SECOND flame, even when Omen showed us to be below the tank (around 95ish) and both of these cased happened when the second flame was around 1%.

We killed Illidan last night (despite being locked inside, then outside of the instance this week, and having to petition GM's to get our characters out of BT) and aside from a rogue pulling agro during phase one nothing unusual happened.

The rogue is used to relying on Omen which doesn't appear to be functioning as reliably as it used to - my guess is the combat log change broke it - and its not yet 100% fixed.

The thing is, Omen was functioning perfectly fine for the first flame. I went up to 129% of the tanks threat and didn't pull aggro.

Have you noticed anything strange with the Flames in the Illidan encounter?
We had some problems with the flames charge->enraging, but I would put it down to the bugged, small targetting circles VS actual hitbox range - confusing our newish-to-phase2 tanks.

We killed Illidan last night, and on the two P2 attempts everything seemed to work exactly as expected. Which included a priest using a soulstone and promptly getting 1-shotted by a flame.

We did notice that the size of the actual graphic for the flame patches in P1/3/5 appeared smaller, although the size where they'd hit you with fire damage remained pretty similar to what it seemed before.
