Downed Lurker last night and got 10 gold even.
Also noticed a UI issue. Commanding Shout started to fade in and out when it was getting ready to go away and that caused my Instant Poison icon to fade in and out as well (even though there was plenty of time left). As soon as Commanding Shout left, Instant Poison returned to normal.

What are you saying here? Are you saying that they normally do this, or that they still do actual targeting after the patch?
If all bosses have started doing "Focus Airburst" instead of targeting, it's rather significant.

I was referring to their normal behavior.
If as the previous poster stated VR is no longer doing it, and others are affected as well, this could have effect on those bosses and probably more.

I believe this was planned for an unspecified date, not for 2.4

That is already part implemented, isn't it? I haven't run without bossmods in ages, but I'm pretty sure some heroic bosses were sending their warning emotes to the middle of the screen even without BigWigs when I returned last fall.

edit: could very well be in the basic UI though, cant recall when I last played without addons.

As someone else said, Archimonde's doomfires seem to be behaving differently. They seem to turn on much tighter angles as opposed to before. For instance, we had a doomfire spawn on Arch's left side, and loop right around his hitbox onto the melee several times. They can almost make a 180" turn compared to before. His targetting circle is smaller, but hitbox seemed to be the same.
Oh yeah, I think this was mentioned too...good luck getting him onto the mountain. Our usual pull spot was on the mountain to the right of the house, but you can't even go up it at all anymore.
Anyone else see any new items from old content?

I'm fairly certain that Gatewatcher Iron-Hand in heroic Mechanar behaves like this for example.

I recall there was info about Felguards retaining their trained abilities when a warlock respecs.
Was this implemented in 2.4 or earlier? As it's not listed in the 2.4 patch notes currently.

All of the bosses in Hyjal picked targets for RSTS abilities and turned to face them while casting, just like usual. The Void Reaver change would be unique to him.
And yes, sorry, 10g per person per boss.

Item Cast Spells: Many spells cast by items were being cast as if the caster were the same level as the item. Most of those will now be cast at the player’s level, giving them a reasonable chance to miss, be dispelled, or be resisted.
|
I think that is targeted at quest items. But has anyone tested, if it affects the behavior of Engineering Bombs and Trinkets? Would be nice if I could use the old reflectors again without the BC nerf.

On the PTR they were dropping 2-3 per boss.
It'd be nice to have a more comprehensive list for the live version however.

Pretty sure its 2 for every boss except the end bosses, 3 for them and 3 for Magtheridon. Kind old Archimonde gave me a massive amount of 12 gold as opposed to Rage's 10.

And the encounters and trash really are that much easier; we ended up sitting around for 30sec waiting for him to wake up after channelers.
Between the money, the epic gem bag, and the 20slot bag, Magtheridon really is Onyxia 2.0. Probably easier than Gruul with randoms, now.

Something changed in the sound system. I heard a lot less noises. Armor clinking, stun sounds, lots of them were missing. I could only fix it by moving "number of sound channels" from "high" to "low". I use a Audigy2, and had no problems before the patch. A friend of mine (with an older Soundblaster) had the same problems.

Hmm, ok, sorry if i have missed this and it's obvious, but i looked in the PTR thread and couldn't find anything, and there's nothing in the patch notes - have the upgradeable engineering goggles been pulled from the patch? (I'm on vacation for two more weeks, just checking the patch on an internet café)
