The ZG trinkets for priests and druids have been massively nerfed. They now give 70 spell haste instead of 400 for their duration. Can't say I didn't see some nerf to those coming.

Maybe the real purpose behind this mount enchant change is to add Wotlk enchants.
"Your mount can now fly in the frozen skies of Northrend" - 5000g.

Paladins have crusader aura which doesn't stack with any other speed enhancements so they're not really effected. Warlocks still get the shaft though, I'd like to see what blizzard does about it. Inscription maybe?

I could have sworn the bug with Talasite owl not giving full mana was fixed a few patches ago. Perhaps this is a mistake and the actual fix was for the epic trinket?

It's sad that they were that good for that long. As it has been noted a thousand times over on these boards, trinket itemization sucks balls.

I'm 99% sure you're right, I used the blue version of the trinket for a long time and remember being happy it was fixed, perhaps those were typos in the patch notes and they meant the epic versions? It was pretty awesome using the seaspray albatross for the first time though and going "Wow, they let the same bug that the blue version had go through with the epic version", can't say I was all that surprised though.

The mob targeting circles "bug" that was introduced in 2.4 is one of the most vexing things the patch brought (the death reports bug is annoying for figuring out what happened to someone else, but the new combat log at least allows everyone to figure it out for themselves). For the PTR junkies, please let us know if these appears to have been fixed when you get a chance. I remember zoning into Gruul for our Wednesday night alt/pug run and seeing the Lair Brutes with targeting circles the size of dimes and thinking "uh oh, this is going to be really annoying on real raids". Sure enough it has been and remains so. The fact that Protean Spawns are bigger than Supremus' targeting circle, etc. Anyway, it's not documented, but I'd love to know if it's fixed.

Judging from the wording, it's possible that the 35%-of-level mp5 will also scale downward with high mana, alongside the 55%-of-int mp5. Any buff is a good buff, though.

It turns out I was both right and wrong. Growl wasn't scaling with Hunter AP, but now it will: WoW Forums -> Error.

EDIT: That says "WoW Forums -> Error" but the link is working for me… did I do something wrong?
EDIT2: OK, now I'm getting an error saying the Forum is not ready. Blizzard's forum software leaves much to be desired. It was a post form Nathera stating simply that Growl will now scale with Hunter AP.

I wonder if the 3 new gems (Reckless Noble Topaz, Forceful Talasite, Quick Dawnstone) are being sold directly from the gem vendor, or whether or not their designs are being sold from the gem vendor. I know myself and a lot of other jewelcrafters are hoping it's the latter

While the change to riding crops is cool... I'm really gonna get the shaft on this one. I snagged the first netherdrake on my server (82 hours after it went live) and to celebrate, grabbed one of each of the drakes. I also had already gotten all 4 epic gryphons, and since then have crafted the epic engineering mount.

Throw in a war talbuk, a battlestrider, my dreadsteed (and felsteed!), snowy gryphon, and any of the nether rays should I decide to get them...

That's a lot of crops.

And what sucks is I ended up getting rid of my Riding Crop when I replaced it with a Skybreaker Whip =\ That would have at least saved me ONE mount enchant.

Someone tell Blizzard to make them into one handed weapons and just have the first one they find in your bags equip automatically when you mount/switch into form and then swap back to your weapon on dismount/switch out of form. Then you can walk around town with your little whip drawn all you like.

An interesting note about those posts by Neth is she says "bite, claw, etc." scale with pet AP. Currently, on live they don't. Only gorilla's Thunderstomp, scorpid's Scorpid Poison, dragonhawk's Fire Breath and windserpent's Lightning Breath scale slightly through the spell damage translation from hunter RAP. I wonder whether or not this is a flub on her part, or does she really mean those static pet abilities will actually scale next patch.

In addition to [Dragonstrike] being One-Hand now, it's also not Unique anymore. Go go Duel Wield.

I also don't see any change to Riding Chops/Scybreaker's Whip, they're still trinkets, and not enchants.

Except that the two aren't incredibly related. Blizzard has stated repeatedly in the past that 300 riding is seen as a non-essential skill. It's nice, but you can live without it. I'd be very surprised if they took the same stance on being able to fly at all in Northrend. They've also mentioned that it will not be a new tier of riding skill (specific that there won't be any new tiers of riding skill in WotLK).

It's possible that the mount speed change is going to involve a new item (cheaper mats, thus making purchasing multiple viable), allowing people who already have Riding Crops/Skybreaker's Whips to keep them - I can't recall a situation where an item has actually been completely and totally -deleted- from the database. People could keep their flavor trinkets, but it would allow you the option to just 'upgrade' your mount and not have to worry about swapping it in.

They've mentioned that they feel that the 280% mounts are probably *too* good, so they'll almost certainly do something significantly different.

Frankly, I'm still hoping that they have a drastic change of heart and decide to disallow flying mounts altogether in Northrend. In spite of the infinitely small chance that this will happen.
