Just to edit this so that every one understands it properly, granted the cut/cut not discussion should head over to the "Icy Art of Making Gold":
- Solid
- Forceful, Jagged, Steady, Vivid
- Accurate, Etched, Glinting, Inscribed, Luminous, Potent, Reckless, Resolute, Stalwart, Veiled
- Glowing, Purified, Regal, Royal, Sovereign, Shifting
- Bold, Bright, Delicate, Flashing, Fractured, Precise, Runed
- Brilliant, Mystic, Quick, Rigid, Smooth
33 Prime Cuts
That is the list of cuts I sell on a regular base and have made me a very decent amount of gold every since BC.
The highest demand by far are the Scarlet Ruby cuts(Bold, Runed, Delicate).
Closely after that Smooth and Rigid Autumn's Glow aswell as Inscribed and Reckless Monarch Topaz.

I prospected some stacks of Titanium Ore and combined the results with those of the previous page.
You can expect the following from one prospect (rounded within 1%):
| Epic | 25% | | Rare | 25% | | Common | 150% | | Powder | 75% |
So one stack equals one epic gem.

At the moment, other data posts I've seen correlate to this one. Depending on the conversion rate of rare gems, the equation may simplify to something around one stack equaling 1.3333, 1.25, or 1.125 epic gems. Of course, considering the spread of colors it would take a lot of stacks for that to truly work out, but collaborating with other JCs or with guild-mates and friends using you as a prospector to reach a fair arrangement for converting and distributing a load of rares. Which I'd go ahead and charge for, much as I hate giving that advice. If you're going to be a prospecting horse, it's going to take a lot of your time, and unless you're feeling very generous to friends and guildies it makes sense to be compensed for your time. As I mentioned in the gold thread, I would not discount using stores of saronite for rares to convert to epics just yet. It won't provide titanium dust to increase your recipe stock, but it may provide provide from sheer gem value.
As a personal note, JCs may benefit and accquire recipes very quickly by creating prospecting arrangements. Instead of charging gold, a % of gems, or the like, work out the following arrangement with those you prospect for (I will be doing this with a JC guild-mate): I prospect for you, you keep your gems, I get the titanium dust you can't use. With the demand for epic gems at release and so many people stocking on Ore, it's a no-brainer way to expand your cuts to better profit from under-represented but desired sales.

Engineering is getting an overhaul

* Added a new Mind Amplification Dish attachment for helmets, allowing engineers to control other humanoid targets. Some restrictions apply: does not work in Arenas, dish sometimes reverses targets, unable to stack with other stat-improving head enchantments and makes your helmet look... stylish?
* Added a schematic for a Goblin Welding Beam that can heal friendly mechanical or vehicle units.
* Alarm-o-Bot functionality changed. Materials required reduced.
* Box of Bombs no longer requires an anvil.
* The Cobalt Frag Bomb now incapacitates enemies within a 3-yard radius. A short cast time was added, but they are usable while moving. This change applies to any Cobalt Frag Bombs already created. The existing recipe now makes 3 at a time.
* Engineers can now learn to create a portable Wormhole Generator for Northrend. The Wormhole allows them to travel to different locations in Northrend, although the locations are sometimes in dangerous places.
* Increased benefits from Hyperspeed Accelerators, Hand-Mounted Pyro Rocket and Reticulated Armor Webbing glove modifications.
* Increased the passive bonuses provided by Springy Arachnoweave, Flexweave Underlay and Nitro Boosts.
* Increased siege damage caused by Saronite Bombs and the Global Thermal Sapper Charge.
* Mote Extractor now has innate tracking for gas clouds while it is in your inventory. Tracking of gas clouds has been removed from goggles.
* A new repair bot has been added, and his name is Jeeves. He is the ultimate gentleman robot butler, able to perform all the mundane tasks of repairing, selling and buying junk for your entire raid. Additionally, he can open bank boxes for skilled engineers (350+). Jeeves is not destroyed when used, but due to pressing engagements, can only be summoned once an hour. The schematic for this handsome robot was said to be hidden within the parts of another robot – hoping to be found by an engineer one day.
* Nitro Boosts: Now have a 5-second duration.
* Potion Injectors now increase the amount gained by 25% when used by engineers. Quantity produced by recipes for Runic Healing and Mana Injectors has been increased.
* Reduced the materials needed to create all engineering Dragonlings, and reduced their cooldowns, although they still cannot be used in Arenas.
* Significantly reduced the cooldown on MOLL-E.
* The Spynocular belt attachment has been changed to a Frag Belt. The Frag Belt periodically produces a Cobalt Frag Bomb that can be used from the belt every 10 minutes (never runs out!).
* A Steam-Powered Auctioneer has been added to the Dalaran Like Clockwork engineering shop, allowing access to one's faction Auction House. The Steam-Powered Auctioneer was programmed with a superiority chip, and will only interact with Grand Master engineers.
* Transporter devices are no longer classified as trinkets and can be used directly from your inventory.
* The Ultrasafe Bullet Machine and Saronite Arrow Maker schematics have been simplified to create a full stack of the appropriate ammunition. No longer requires an anvil. Reduced the materials required to make this ammunition.

Still looks like they do not give the static boosts on par with the other non-gathering professions, but the added a lot of nice little perks.

The upcoming engi changes are great IMO. The utility they are adding (ports, port-a-bank, AH in Dalaran for engis only, the return of the MC hat, free bomb making belt, bonus on injectors, the tinker stat/effect buffs) more then make up for it in the time/resource savings alone.

Blizzard has said now and then that they don't think every profession should be the same when people have complained at Engineering.
Now they prove that they truly do want Engineering to be fun to just have.
While I dropped my Engineering long ago, and it looks like it remains a good choice, I can at least be happy to see that Engineering is no longer going to be weak and not terribly fun at the same time. Now it will have some of the fun stuff that it lacked from TBC and onwards.

Alright. Good to know.
I'm one of those nut jobs that needs to have EVERY jewelcrafting design in the game (I'm getting pretty damned close), and I have been going on a binge buying Damaged Necklaces.
Judging from what I've been reading, Epic Gem Cuts are going to cost 5 Dalaran JewelCrafting Tokens, I've been saving mine up since I heard that I am going to need them come 3.2, and I currently have 41.
I have also managed to collect over 500 titanium ore for the titanium dusts.
What I need to know is does ANYONE have any idea how many of the designs are obtainable buy Purchase with the Tokens, how many are World Drops, how many need to be farmed from certain mobs, or Obtained from Rep?
I need to know this because I would like to know how many tokens I need to save up, before I can stop spamming in Trade.
Any help would be vastly appreciated.

Currently it looks like the recipes will be purchased, period. World drops and reputation currently look to have been taken out of the equation for 3.2, but this is just based on what is currently known. We all know how the devs like throwing curveballs into easy arrangements.
On a different note, I'm looking forward to the engineering changes a helluva lot. Eough that I've started leveling my second serious alt much more seriously, and am seriously considering dropping herbalism on my DK to level engineering. For pure awesome. The tremendous utility increase is great, but the bomb and mote changes are what are really selling. I mean sure, Jeeves is great, but better siege damage and gathering is a great perk combined with Dala-auctions and better potion injectors. Dangerous wormholes, what's not to love?

It's very possible some will turn out to be world drops, rare drops from certain mobs, etc when they hit live. On the PTR they need everyone to have easy access to everything to test balance.

I guess in that case, I'll just collect any Damaged Necklaces I can, and farm more Titanium Ore.

At any rate a good portion will remain vendor based and thus tokens will still be valuable.

Has anyone heard/seen anything substantiating the "rumor" that there is a very rare chance that Saronite prospects will result in an epic?
