I was seeing similar DR to what would be expected if that new formula was active when I was doing some testing on the Boss Dummy but since I couldn't get one by myself and without debuffs I didn't really trust the results. Thanks, I've updated the table with your data. There was actually a bug in LibStatLogic that was causing the inconsistence with Hunter data, which I'm currently working on a fixed.

10/23/10, 5:37 AM #561 Althor Great Tiger   Delmortis Troll Priest   Barthilas It is definitely 26.231992721557617 in the DBC client files.

I modified the 70 - 80 formula a little, and got something that was pretty accurate, but of course not quite. (82 / 52 * (131 / 63) * 3.9053695 ^ ((level - 80) / 5))

I'm working on a work base for my daily TC and tried to apply the Cataclym DR formula on my level 80 Death Knight. The result shows a very low effect of the DR, while in game it effects way more. (for example, without the weapon enchant, in-game I have 20.1% parry from rating and 20.4% global parry, while on my spreadsheet it shows 20.1% parry from ratings and 26.94% global parry) Don't know what is not working as intended here, can you check it ? (don't hesitate to modify it, it's a fairly simple spreadsheet, merely an application of your work) https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?...thkey=CI6i08EJ
12/06/10, 9:31 AM #565 Ryn Glass Joe     Ryn Human Warrior   Earthen Ring (EU) The level 60 rating base value for resilience is wrong. Here is the correct value: RESILIENCE = 28.75 * 0.75 / 2 / 1.125 or 9.583333 (repeating of course).
12/09/10, 12:17 AM #566 Levva In Awe of Shocks     Levva Draenei Shaman   Khadgar (EU) I noted the comment under the basic stats table "Note: Paladin, Death Knight, Shaman, and Druid receive 30% more melee haste from Haste Rating" It is my understanding from Shaman theorycrafting at least that this is no longer the case. I'm guessing that this is just an oversight from an earlier version of the table. 12/14/10, 7:57 AM #567 Fela Glass Joe   Palette Blood Elf Paladin   Dalvengyr (EU) confused I'm new to this discussion, so maybe someone can explain this to me. Why do you guys refer to ($C_d$,$C_p$) as 'caps' ? Also, while the formula $\frac{1}{x'} = \frac{1}{c}+\frac{k}{x}}$ is certainly nice, it's not very intuitive. In order to actually understand what the constant values represent, i changed it a bit to $x' = \frac{x}{\frac{x}{c}+k}$ . Therefore with k ~ 1, I'm interpreting c as a half-value constant and thus not a 'cap' at all? Last edited by Fela : 12/15/10 at 8:40 AM.
12/14/10, 1:36 PM #568 bonta Glass Joe   cfut Night Elf Druid   Medivh I've always wondered how Blizzard does their numbers. For example, say I have a 27.65% to dodge...does that essentially mean I have 27.65% to dodge(crit/hit/parry/basically anything that has decimal numbers) or do I have 27% to dodge? The reason I say this is because it appears the numbers after the decimal point are completely ignored as far as tooltips go. So what I would like to know is if that is the case when you actually get into combat. I plan to min/max all my stats like ensuring mastery rating is enough to reach my next % for example. If someone know anything let me know Thank you! (If all this sounds confusing still, feel free to send me a private message)

In almost all cases, full decimals are used. There are a few cases, like Mastery and Expertise, where the character sheet rounds them, but the actual mechanics still do not.

I ran into the same question recently but based on the data reported in game and other poster's work here it looks like the game always uses the exact value when calculating effects in combat. As Astrylian stated.

So in game percentage chances are rounded to two decimal places and expertise and mastery truncated to integer values but that only affects the display of those attributes.

I know many of you have spreadsheets you're already happy with but if it's any help I started hacking together some calculators for combat ratings and made sure they don't truncate the displayed values so they might help you make an exact calculation: Warcraft Calculators
