No, apparently that's how WWS looks with the 2.4 parser and a tightly-trimmed logfile. I checked a bunch of the "approved" WWS's and they all have the same thing: the final killing blow and UNIT_DIED event don't show up when you trim in WWS to exactly that line (i.e. the last line of your log file is UNIT_DIED for the boss.)
So we shrugged and just uploaded.
Yes I actually have a vid of the Gruul speed run. It's not all that exciting, but I'll throw up a link here when I have one. Right now I'm having an argument with my video editor (it keeps crashing on the footage for some reason.)
And yeah we're having fewer and fewer LW's these days, and even those who of us who still are (I haven't switched to enchanting yet, keep meaning to in prep for WotLK levelling) tend to forget drums at this point, even on speed kills. We're bad people... =(

Have you considered adding bosses to this list? It's very different going for a fast boss kill rather then a fast instance clear.

That's basically the definition of WWS except it doesn't have to be hand-maintained.

WWS Scoreboard covers that fairly well.

Actually WWS Scoreboard still hasn't been updated. There are probably quite a few of us looking for a similar website nowadays.

These are the times of the speedruns there which are all pretty impressive

2. In Harmony 00:32:32 Wow Web Stats
3. For the Horde 00:35:55
4. SK Gaming 00:36:26
The most impressive thing in my opinion is a paladin solo healing it for both Nihilum and In Harmony.

I didn't look at the in harmony lineup, but its pretty clear from the page you linked us that it wasn't a solo heal - the second healer is even listed before the holy paladin there, so I'm not sure how you missed it.

Are these just words of encouragement to players who aren't in ideal gear?

You'll need great gear in addition to focus and drive if you want to get the world raid speed records, but only focus and drive if you want to get raid record speeds for your guild and gear level. That's the implication I get, and I do agree with it.

This. Fast clears are normal for us, long before we out-gear a dungeon (before we even clear it for the first time, in fact.)
There's more on our editorial page on How to Run Fast, Efficient Raids, but the basic summary is: it's worth it even if you aren't setting world records. Your guild gets better at the stuff that matters when you focus on clearing quickly, even if it's a dungeon that's on farm. Raidstacking for Teron is what makes WWSScoreboard records, but it doesn't gain you much as a guild other than showing you know how to put shaman into the right groups and swap for bloodlust. Knowing how to move quickly through content improves the quality of life for everyone in your guild (and in our opinion, makes everyone into better raiders.)
I like the Gruul's speed clear from that perspective (and that's why it has the editorial at the end) because Gruul's is a very simple zone and best shows that there's no tricks to a normal fast clear (although obviously the BT speed clear does employ some tricks.) You just move quickly. It's not about skipping packs, or AE'ing everything. We wouldn't get a ~6 minute clear if we went on alts in T4/T5 gear, but we'd still probably clear faster than many guilds out there just because of the pace expectation that our guild has, and the skills we all have from doing constant, quick clears in every dungeon (even Sunwell, even during progression.)
(Obligatory: not for everyone. Some guilds prefer a far more relaxed approach to raiding. This isn't my choice, but that's fine I'm not in those guilds. But they could -- you don't have to be overgeared to be great at clearing trash, and clearing trash fast is what makes for fast dungeon clears.)

This is one of the most important lessons I learned while running for the ZA bear in T4 gear. These bear runs with a group of mostly casual, but focused players were one of the most satisfying experiences I had in WoW. Compared with that, typical "relaxed" 5 hour BT runs are plain boring and let minds wander around, soothing most players into a "why bother" attitude, taking phone calls during boss fights, watching television, and so on. And then, suddenly, an entry level Sunwell raid wipes at ... Supremus. Or Akama.
For raid leaders who sympathize with Kyths view, but don't see how they can motivate their raid to implement this: set them on Zul'Aman timed runs. There, need for speed (especially trash speed) is given by the timer and easy to communicate. Even many T6 raids fail there, and it's easy to use this to say "we are not good enough" in a persuasive way.

We definitely could've gone faster, probably can shave 6-7 minutes additional off it easily. Not sure how motivated we'll be though, heh.

It's been really great to see these speedruns lately in WoW. As a singleplayer game speedrunner I'm always amazed how 25+ raiders (as sometimes they change raid setup in middle of the run like SK-gamings Sunwell runs on Joost) can work so well together. Hopefully Blizzard notices this too and put some rewards for fastest runners in WotLK.

I haven't seen any full zone clears but they do have ones for various things like killing Anub through Maexxna in under 30 min. Heroic: Arachnophobia - Achievement - World of Warcraft

A query: are the records going to be locked when 3.0 hits live servers? I've heard reports of six-man PUGs clearing Kara in less than two hours on the PTR, so it looks like the changes may shift the goalposts a bit too far to make pre/post-patch comparisons valid.
