Hey, guys. I'm a member of Descendants of Draenor on Deathwing, and kerulak/hanzo posted a link to the following thread in which the OP quotes Gurgthock's post about BWL hate management:

http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.a...ns&T=112605&P=1

So, I'm guessing hunters own in BWL because FD resets their hate meter. Is that true?

If so, why not try something similar for resetting healer hate meters? Instead of feigning death, though, just actually die; then SS/ankh up (or have an ooc rezzer), med up, and start over.

hell, if the healer is oom anyway and using SS is feasible, it's a quick way to regen some mana too! :D

so are there any pools of lava handy in BWL?

That is the precise tactic that many guilds have used to get past some of these encounters.

When we were having fun with the full-aggro-wipe Broodlord without BoS a couple of weeks back, my guildmates got some chuckles out of me saying "If you can't feign death, do it for real." We ended up having our mages run up and intentionally eat AoEs midway through the fight, then soulstone up and resume nuking. It let us get twice as much DPS out of each of them.

That said, while you certainly could have an out of combat rezzer and a healer suicide rotation to keep aggro down, that's just horribly lame as a tactic. Repair costs are bad enough as it is.

Good luck getting naked in the middle of a fight after generating a bunch of aggro. :P

Heh, oh yeah.

I guess the best we can do is engage the boss in hand to hand combat.

On a related note I refuse to haves the rogues healed during Golemeg. We just have a pallie pop them back up every time they die. Its a good time.

When we are particularly thoughtful we tell OOM healers with poor gear to go kill themselves and then get right back at it.

I agree that widespread use of this tactic would be very lame though.
