It's a complex fight with a lot of factors that can contribute to success.

1) It's really tough
2) It requires lots and lots of practice and player-skill unlike any previous encounter.
3) It's really, really tough

It's looking more and more like the guilds who have killed him have done so using some sort of LoS trickery. We refuse to take advantage of any exploits like that, so we have been unable to make the sort of progress they have. However, if it turns out that they did actually somehow do it legitmately, then hats off to them.

We are still in the process of learning the fight, and it's really, really tough.

I've gotten the impression that it is hard in an interesting way, as opposed to in some sort of gimmicky annoying way, that sound about right?

I've only managed to wipe on him a few times, but my impression was of a fun, interesting encounter that takes a lot of skill. So yeah, that sounds about right.

Though virtually any mob ability because gimmicky and annoying after you've been killing it for a few months.

if pyou fight him at night he pdeath touches one person every 2 seconds but we have jobs and cant be home to fight him during the day

Basically, Chromaggus can do a lot of things in a short time.

Think of Onyxia Deep breathing every 5-10 seconds, and she teleports all over the room, while she is on the ground.

Chromaggus does none of these, but it shows how hard it is.

I noticed that 2? guilds had killed him so far and that possibly you guys would be making progress (someone on the boards said that they thought EJ was right up there and ready to take him down etc.)

An interesting post by an NA guy said that one of his frost mages hit for 5000 damage with a frostbolt.

Let's just say there are times in this fight I could score an 8800 damage frost shock.

Slug has died.

You tell [someone]: "Okay...when it crits you get 5 digits, see?"
