I noticed a strange phenomenon using simcraft 420-5. For my mage the value of haste drops almost to zero even though I am not running oom. This behavior seems to be unaffected by fight time, several setting gives roughly the same. What could be the problem here? (I seriously doubt that the value of haste is truely degraded that much). To see the behavior simply import EU-Ysera-Baruk.
Please give us the simc_gui.simc file to reproduce your results. Scaling haste I get a value of 1.7818.
As you can see that contains the profile and all the options it feeds to the sim. Your profile doesn't have the options, so it doesn't allow me to reproduce your results. It's probably easier for you to paste the profile here with spoiler tags or use a pastebin like service, instead of having to upload it to a file hosting service.
Warlock here, finally got my hands on the legendary staff.
Everytime I launch a sim for my char ( 420-8simc, 50k iterations, scaling int, mastery, haste, crit ) I get completely different results for my scale factors, I will link the last 4 I got:
(getting this error here "Player Bruciomagodo may have insufficient iterations (50000) to calculate scale factor for crit_rating (error is >10% delta score)")
I'm importing my char from this link: Bruciomagodo @ Vashj - Game - World of Warcraft
The dps output is pretty much always in line (38900min, 39200max, which is ok, considering how random the staff is) but scale factors are completely off every single time
Does equipping the staff messes up with simcraft? Does the staff make things sooo random? Am I doing something wrong?
edit: getting the same behavior with premade DTR profiles, at least for warlocks and mages

Reason: more testing done on premade profiles
I have a stupid question. Go ahead and dung heap me if this is terribad, but I have a question about Weapon Speed. I haven't found this anywhere, I've googled all over the place. When I run my sim on my Ret Paladin, the normalized scale factor for weapon speed is coming back at 97 something. Does this mean that going from 3.6 to 3.7 weapon speed will give me a jump equal to 97 Strength, or 9.7 Strength? Again, sorry if I'm an idiot.
Answered via PM, I'll list it here for anyone else who may run across it: .1 Wspeed = the full amount listed. 3.6 -> 3.7 = a 97 STR jump in dps.
