Hiya, my guild is now progressing through bwl and the loot is raining down and I still need to pick out a weapon I want to waste my DKP on. I see you have the untamed and I'm just wondering ifyou can tell me how it squares up to the other end game weapons available right now. Does it proc alot and is it reliable? I'm on a pvp server and i'm orc so I always stuck to axes(saying that, I'm currently running around with TUF:ultramon:) The min/max of untamed doesnt seem so great(and its white hits are the same as OEB apparently?) but the proc is pretty hot and when the sword is amped by that it's comparable to the rank 14 weapons or SO I'VE HEARD. Anyways, what are your or anyone elses opinions on it against say spinal and the other few axes you can get in mc/bwl..

It is pretty sweet, it atleast looks a lot cooler than Spinal Reaper or any of those other dumb weapons. The proc is really what defines the sword and your dps (with it going off a little less than crusader). Dueling wins can really depend on whether it procs or not and it is especially sweet waiting for it to proc in AV and then using whirlwind. It's probably pretty wasted on me though since I have horrible PvP gear but I've heard of a lot of other warriors tearing shit up with it.

I'm not sure I can rely on the proc and feel i'm contributing to my group enough. 5v5 pvp is the main station on my server and weighing up the proc chance against just hitting fucking hard all the time is a toughie. The swords got nice stats but a hefty axe gives me 4% crit over it and I'm so fucking used to axes I can't shake it, sword spec to me just feels weak in pvp. warrior in guild is ALWAYS up the top pve wise with worse offensive gear, he says wf, sword spec and hoj do it for him but in pvp with short fights where burst is king I'm just not sure.

I suppose the alternative is spinal with it's proc it's also lovely for what I use it for.

e; fucking christ, I just re-read the post and it sounds like I have my mind pretty much made up, that isn't the case. I'm just resigned to my fate of cookie-fucking-cutter axe ms builds. I love my warrior but one flavour suits all is pissing me off. I guess I want you, or someone, to convince me there is another avenue to exploe without being weaker in pvp. I'm a horrid min/max'er :angry:

Hell, why should you have to try and convice me that untamed is better or comparable I dont even know but I saw you had it so gave it a shot.

I'm tempted to try and make fury work. I have spineshatter for main but getting a good off is gonna be tough. My gear is more for tanking and truck jousting then it for stab stab stab crit crit stab agility! you know? I'm tempted to try it anyways but it sucks and I know it but cookie cutter bores me to tears.

It makes me happy that blizzard is finally adding some items that don't look absolutely stupid on trolls. The majority of the plate armor looks pretty awful, but so far the goodies from ZG look fantastic. Can't wait to see what else is in store :laugh:

Glad to see yet another exceptionally good weapon (without intellect) go to yet another paladin. When are paladins going to get it through their head that they are there to FUCKING heal, and that said, should be using something a slight bit less warrior-ish.

If I was still playing, I sure as shit would use ZG as an opportunity to flesh out a melee set for my shaman. It's not like hes grabbing an Untamed Blade or Spinal Reaper. Hes taking a nice but not overwhelmingly powerful melee centric weapon.

I think what makes that sword great is the name. Oh, and it's got great stats/DPS too...but the NAME.

We gave ours to a Hunter.

Untamed or the Destroyer? I can easily see a Destroyer going to hunters, especially if warriors have better from MC/BWL. Now a Paladin on the other hand ...

We got our second untamed blade last night off razor, and no it did not go to a hunter or a pally.

It went to a warrior - Qoma.

Also the item that went to the hunter was the destroyer of worlds - off of hakkar.
