What days/times do you schedule your BWL/ZG/Onyxia/MC raids? How many days a week of BWL do you think it is necessary for significant progress?

For scheduling purposes we have a friday full clear mc and a saturday full clear MC. Onyxia is done by three (sometimes 2) groups, one in early afternoon and two in the evening, every 6th day. We try to take full advantage of our raid timers for bwl.

We generally hit BWL whenever possible, so usually every day other than when we're doing MC or Onyxia. It's difficult stuff, so the more time you can throw at it the better in terms of progression.

ZG is a whole different animal where we don't have formally scheduled raids per se. We have several "teams" led by random people, based primarily on time availabilities.

All I know is there's a hell of a lot of raiding these days, which is pretty cool. You know, since we cascade.

Well, it varies a bit, but here's the last few days for you, and the next few:

Tuesday: 3x Onyxia and various Zul'Gurub groups.
Wednesday: 8pm-10pm, 2 hours of work on Nefarius; 10pm-12am, Razorgore-Broodlord, starting a new timer
Thursday: BWL Lab/Drakes
Friday: MC #1
Saturday: MC #2
Sunday: Chromaggus/Nefarius
Mon: Onyxia + Nefarius
Tuesday: Nefarius

---

We pretty much always have something going on every day of the week, but because our members have very varied schedules, we rarely engage in the sort of 5+ hour marathon session that may be seen elsewhere.

As for "significant progress", eh, I think most fights in their current form can be learned in 2-3 days of solid attempts. If you can get 40 good people together for 5+ hours of wiping, either on one day or spread across several, you should be able to learn any boss in BWL. And once you've got them down, the zone is pretty quick. It's a shorter clear than MC if nothing goes wrong.

MC: Friday night and Saturday afternoon
- Raid group #1 @ 7pm-11ish
- Raid group #2 @ 4pm-8ish

Onyxia: Typically whenever the timer resets
- Raid group #1 @ 4pm
- Raid group #2 @ 9pm
- Raid group #3 @ 9pm

BWL: Different days/times of the week
- Raid group #1a (Razor through Brood)
- Raid group #1b (Fire through Chrom)
- Raid group #1c (Nef practice)
- Raid group #1d (Nef practice)

ZG: Different days/times/groups

Man, I need to quit doing different things at once and just finish my posts if I want to stop getting beat all the time.

Curious, now that you have 200+ level 60's, how is the schedule these days and what motivates you to grow such as you have? Too many see the hardcore 50 man guild to be the smartest option concerning pve progression, but i don't agree, especially as more and more content is added to the weekly farm. However, i'd love to hear from someone who has proved it's success in practice (speaking of multi-raiding over single-raid).

Sup, necromancy.

Schedule after last week's maintenance:
2/14 @ 7:30pm -- AQ40
2/15 -- Multiple AQ20 groups
2/16 @ 7pm -- BWL #1 (full clear)
2/17 @ 8pm -- AQ40
2/18 @ 3:30pm -- BWL #2 (full clear), AQ 20s
2/19 @ 2pm -- AQ40, more AQ 20s

Onyxia runs are done mostly pick-up. MC runs take 2-3 hours and mostly happen once a week if there's time and interest.

And i assume you have a hell of a lot of capable raidleaders?

My own guild dual raids MC, with only one BWL raidgroup at the moment. I find it cause's some issues however, since about 3/4 of the guild is ready for BWL, but not really experienced enough or geared for two capable raidgroups.

I see you do the same with AQ40 now? Don't you find that a problem that as the new content comes out, you can only single-raid for a while, and are forced to select the 'best' of the guilds current crop to take it on. I mean, no one get's bruised ego's over that? "Yeah, we're all the same guild, but hey, these guys are better than those other guys, etc"

I understand that you can't please everyone, merely curious of how you handle such issues.

Now that you mention it, I can't recall checking just how much we've gotten since we hit our 100th piece. You got me curious though, so I checked.

3769 epics in the database right now. That does include crafted items but not the hundreds of down(or side)-grades, nor stuff that was blown up. So apparently yeah, lots of purps.

well I am not EJ but I have read these forums alot and basically how EJ did it was they had one expeditionary group that went and did all the learning and switched out people each week till they could do 2 full BWL groups.

I am sure there will always be some bruised egos but what can ya do. If everyone feels success is the most important thing and you know you can have 2 groups fairly soon then there should be less bitching cause you are on the "B" team. Now since AQ40 isnt really that much more difficult than BWL and they already have 2 BWL groups why not just run 2 AQ40 groups but I have no real knowledge of how their plans are gonna work on AQ40.

Hows that ? 3hour MC is pretty slow these days, my guild is doing it with half of alts in raid. And our best BWL was 3h 55 mins. And with that raid we could do MC in 2 hours.
