I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but with AB opening up, AV hasn't had any attention, and for those of us who enjoy some challenging PVP instead of pubby stomp games we could use this to arrange an AV game between guilds during some time in which there will be a highly unlikely chance anyone else is in the AV Queue. Any thoughts on this?

Unlikely to happen since the only alliance guilds big enough to do that are the ones that afk out of games if they haven't won inside an hour.

don't they afk out just because their whole group isn't in there?

So.... if there's no pubbies in the Queue they'll have no reason to afk out. That's the idea

They afk out if they face a team they can't steam roll.

Any guild worthy of the hordes time would be no challenge and they know it. I've tried asking the 'big' alliance guilds and they can't see any point in getting their asses kicked.

I explained to exordium that I wanted to set something like this up, and they had more excuses than I ever thought possible. Once I explained exactly how they could do it and they stopped responding. :rolleyes:

But Xuk, they have Rank 14s!! Obviously they are the best on this server!

I could actually see the possiblity of us playing against EJ or a combination of Exo/Loh vs EJ.

I know personally that it would be very fun and epic, and for me that is worth alot more than just honor and victory.

Actually because I am really interested in seeing something like this get going ill personally bring it up with the guild and try to drum up support and get the ball rolling.

i think the big problem here is that we want to be challenged and have a tough time defeating a group in av, the fact that no alliance guilds want that kind of a situation is partially the reason that, even if willing, they probably cant stand up to us. =\

Well, I don't know if we could say for sure we'll just run over alliance based on our gear. Just like with horde pubbies, if you mix them in there they'll usually just screw around. 50/2000 Alliance win whoop. If you're working with people you know and can depend on you can bring tactics into play, equipment isn't nearly as big a factor as skill. Why don't we just give it a try and see if we enjoy it. I know there will be enough EJ interested, just need to convince your alliance buddies to give it a try.

i dont think anyone is saying we'd win based on our gear, its based on the fact that instead of turning tail at the first sign of trouble, we welcome a challenge.

Pity the horde doesn't get this chance.


Anyway, we can't really judge how the alliance will react to us unless we try this so stop scaring them off by calling them cowards.
Any alliance reading this try to generate some intrest within your guild, and thanks Ayle.
The only problems I see is if someone catches on to an AV going on and jumps in the Queue. We lose too many from our game and others will start pouring in, although it may just cause another AV to open up.

They can /duel me all they want.

Both sides will just have to /afk out a couple times, but if we keep requeuing as a 40 man raid on both sides, this should work.

You can't join as a group in AV anymore.

What the hell.
