Did you guys manage to take him down last night?

I was online for about 3-4 whipes of each of the three raidgroups before a polar-bear gg'd my modem.

It seemed his 100 yard aoe attack was really powerful and all too strong for us allies.

After seeing how you guys could get him to 50% where we could barely get past 75% leeds me to belive that horde will hold a big advantage in Ahn-Qiraj progress due to shaman and there special totems of nature resistance/cleansing. (If it is majorly nature resist based).

Heh, well, I think we would've killed him anyway, but we ended up stumbling upon a clearly unintended trick...

As for Horde vs. Alliance, I don't see the difference on that fight anyway. If he had an AoE poison or disease it might be different, but he doesn't. It's a single-target thing that we use single-target spells to remove, just the way Alliance would. And as for Nature Resistance, Hunter Aspect of the Wild is identical to our Nature Res totem (they do not stack). I'd say it's pretty much even between factions.

Edit: But yeah, if A'Q is full of nature AoEs and poison/disease AoEs, that will definitely be a Horde advantage, just because we have more classes that can remove those debuffs and provide nature resistance than you guys do. (But that's no different than the way any fight with a magic debuff component favors Alliance since you have 10+ people in any group that can remove magic while we typically have 5-6.)

Pre-1.8, yes they did stack.

Post-1.8, no they don't stack.

Don't think either stack with Mark, though I forget now.

so nobody can cry "horde=EZmode" :)

Though really... stacking 120 of one resist does seem a bit overpowered.. :)

You have to do something really special to earn a special cartman. That's pretty much "be one of the original alliance on the EJ forums". :( Most people who do Cartman deserving things these days just get banned or suspended.

The other mods are red hammers. I am more subtle.
