Hi ya dudes, back here spamming your forum. just took over the guildbank 2 weeks ago or so and made lots of onyxia cloaks yesturday, question is, who should I hand it out to? At the start I thought we all needed them allready for firemaw which was completly incorect (tried him first time yesturday, he's going down thursday), then someone said yesturday that I shouldn't give them to anyone that doesen't got 5k+ hp since the shadow flame hits for that much. I asked them if what will happen is that our entire raid gets aoe hit for 5k and 50% will die but noone could give me a good answer.

sooo, basicly, who get's hit by shadow flame in the different fights, especially curious about nerfarian, don't want any spoilers but getting cloaks takes time and would suck if I made a bad call here.

the answer will probably be along the lines of:
"melee need for nefarian"
"everyone needs it for nefarian since it's random target but ppl without 5k hp won't survive anyways so prio on ppl with 5k+ hp" (like those warlocks are ever at max hp :rolleyes: )

if you're at firemaw you should have about 8 million onyxia scales by now

might still have for all the active ones when we hit nefarion but it's not a guarantee at all so prio for some classes?

I think putting them on your tanks atleast is a good idea :)

Make sure every warrior has one. Beyond that, I'd say healers, but it doesn't really matter. You can get by with only the tanks having them. Successful fights don't involve non-warriors eating Shadow Flame (now that the drake taunt bug is fixed).

Work on getting Onyxia down with 20-25 people, so you can bring two groups and accelerate your scale farming. If you can do Firemaw, you should be able to do Onyxia with <25.

My mage has never taken a shadowflame that didn't involve either a double taunt freak out or someone pulling aggro which leads to a wipe anyways.

I wish I wasn't landlocked, atm. :( They're making surfboards out of fiberglass these days. This means when it comes out from under you, you're not at risk of getting killed by a 50 pound wood projectile while trying not to drown.
