The reason the Death Knight has it is because nearly everything with Hunter in the class restriction had Death Knight added as a mistake in 3.0 (check the TBC PvP sets for example [Vengeful Gladiator's Waraxe]). However I can only see it as a bug if any other class has managed to get one.

The WoWInsider article mentioned like two posts back contains a link to a blue poster confirming all classes can now get a Thunderfury. So no, it's not a bug.

Deathknights are stated on both bindings: [Bindings of the Windseeker]
You can definateliy get Thunderfury on any class, a mage in my guild has one (patch 3.0.8).
To the poster above me, that was the post I was looking for a long time, since a friend of mine told me there was a bluepost about it.

Just for completeness sake:

Donnerzorn kann inzwischen von jeder Klasse erlangt werden. Der Tooltip der Fesseln sollte mit einem zukünftigen Patch entsprechend aktualisiert werden.

Rough translation: "Every class is now able to get Thunderfury. The Tooltip of the two Bindings will be updated to match this in a future patch."

Reading that word Donnerzorn made me quite happy that I never installed the german language pack
