Hi Jerks!

I will get straight to the point and not use up your bandwidth. A month or two ago, we had an event with Good Squad in which we all went to the arena and dueled, 1v1, 5v5, 2v2, and so on. It was extremely entertaining, and ran quite smoothly.

I would like to know if you would be interested in having a similar PvP event between our two guilds. It can be anything, another bridge event, another well-ordered arena battle, or anything else. Obviously we won't be able to go at each other full force, since you slightly outnumber us, and have a slight level advantage, B)

Please let me know if you would at all be interested in doing something like this, and if so, put some ideas you might have out on the table. Thank you for hearing me out.

I prefer the arena since you're least likely to get other people interfering there, and it's easy to keep tabs on people.

Myself in addition to Sidwyn are the Ambassadors for the Moon Dancers. I was directed to this post from one on the WoW forums from Beef about us not getting back to you guys for this PvP event. Not sure what the what the issues were / are but I just wanted to post up here in anycase to continue the discussion.

Sid had mentioned this to me and although I was unable to attend the GS PvP event we had with them it seemed the general idea was well recieved and fun was had by all.

I am just tossing some ideas out here now as I am not sure if Sidwyn had made any further discussions with any of you outside this forum.

When would be a good day / time to hold this event for you folks?

Would it be beneficial to break it down by lvl of character for those of us / you that are not at 60? (ie. lvl20-30 PvP - lvl30-40 PvP etc. similar to the bridge event breakdown)

The main objective of this whole thing is mainly FUN, with the side benefit of getting practice fighting actual cross faction folks in a more controlled environment of course.

With the communication issues the game forces us into, I am not sure how we can tackle that other than voice comm. or IM. Ideas here appreciated.

I know that many of you are skilled players but I am sure that there are some of you that need the practice of PvP as much as we do.

Lets keep the ball rolling on this. It would be ashame to see this not happen, and happen sooner rather than later.

We'll discuss what time is best for us and get back to you. I'm definitely up for this and know I can get some people good to go, it's just a matter of not interfering with our normal raid schedule.

Generally I'd prefer it be an all level 60 event. PVP is best when it's even levels and even numbers and level 60 is the best way to ensure this. Granted, items make a big difference but there's little way to control that.

Or one of the various IM services, no doubt. I know the Dancers are quite well organized, so we should really only need a couple of relays per side in constant contact for something like this to work smoothly. We can work out a few universal signals ahead of time and then the organizers can ship any further information to the rest of the guild as we go along.

Something I'd very much enjoy in the arena sometime would be a bit of "Mixed Doubles" combat. It would be an interesting challenge and alternative to the standard fare, since you couldn't group with or heal your partner and would both have to mind your targets and AE usage. ;)

Bonus of getting to kill your mates with the help of your enemies. :D

(Of course, coming from me that's likely to be seen as yet another thinly veiled excuse to hit on the cute Alliance women...)

Well, let's try a Lvl60 only event. we have a bit under 10 level 60's so this will be a nice small event hopefully. I am sure you have 3 or 4 times that number of 60's but hey, I think it will be a great event still and build some dialoge between our guilds.

I would still like at some point to do a lower level event so that some of our up and coming folks can have some fun PvPing as well. Not sure this is possible with you folks but it is still an idea I would like to persue at some point.

When you come up with a time / date let us know. Give us as much time in advance as possible so that we can plan it as well. Even if it is a month from now, that's cool, lets just get something planned and going.

I was curious about our number of 60s, so I checked our guild tab and counted 172. :zerg: :blink:

Not sure this is possible with you folks but it is still an idea I would like to persue at some point.

This would probably be pretty easy to set up as well. Nearly all of our level 60's have at least two alts which fall into various level ranges and we've a fair number of people in their 40's or 50's at current.

I look forward to getting this set up. DM arena would be fun some evening, as well, since we could have group based FFA combat in there which transcends factional boundries. Every 5-man for themselves inside the arena until outsiders came in and wrecked it by killing folks outside the arena proper. LOL!
