I wanted to ask if anybody knows a good application for calculating ilvl, when given stats of an item ? Or maybe wants to share their home made spreadsheet :) ?

There was that post where a guy reverse enginered point values and gave a detailed explanation to his system.

I have a spread sheat to that system but I cant find the link to his post.

Here is the link to a (german) page where you can dl the excel sheat:

Filefront uploading is down atm

PS.: I forgot to add he didnt calculate the weapon dps in I think the Weapon ilvl arent correctly calculated. Because you can get points when you make the item go to a lower dps then it would have with it itemlvl (for examble azuresong blade has only 40 dps it should have a much higher dps according to its item lvl but it has more stats instead)

Thottbot and allakhazam both list item level for pieces that have been discovered. As a heads up, Thottbot also has the option for calculating the point score of the item using the "Hyz scale", as it calls it. Append the suffix '&hyz=1' to any thottbot item URL to obtain the point breakdown. For example:

http://www.thottbot.com/?i=37871
http://www.thottbot.com/?i=37871&hyz=1

It's not totally accurate or fully functional, but it's good for common pieces without exotic stats.

Actually my goal was to calculate ilvl of items that is supposedly drop from C'thun (original link http://www.wowguru.com/gallery/?screenshotID=1210)
My first thought was that some of these items has too low ilvl for C'thun drops. However i was mistaken, items ranges from 81 to 90 ilvl.

Those are all fake.

edit: well not all of them, some of them were datamined, but if they don't look like they were datamined during the initial phase of 1.9 they're fake

Well, legendaries indeed look like fake, trinket sucks bad. Other items looks more or less legit, except very weird trinket (Lost relic)

The following are fake:
Legendary
Clutch of the Tentacle
Loop of the Deranged
Bracelets of the Aqiri Avatar
Treads of the Creeping Shadow
Lost Relic of the Titans

---

The others are old datamined items from 1.9 Test. Some of them are genuinely lower iLvl than others, and that's because I'm willing to bet good money that the "__ of the Fallen God" items are quest rewards from turning in something from C'Thun (severed tentacle? heart? who knows) like the Onyxia and Nefarian heads. Those quest rewards are generally somewhat lower ilvl than the loot dropped directly by the boss.

I like how the Gauntlets of Annihilation don't have any armor on them.
