We're considering starting to make serious attempts at the outdoor bosses now. Is Azuregos and Kazzak significantly easier than the four greens? What's a good one to start focusing in on? Which do you guys have a lot of fun doing (Enjoyment / Loot Quality)?

Kazzak is probably the easiest raid encounter I've ever seen in this game. Tank, Spank, Heal, collect epics. Seriously, easier than Lucifron.

Azuregos is slightly more difficult, in that you can't use HoTs or DoTs for fear of pulling aggro when he teleports. Long fight, in which the biggest issues are A. making sure you stay alive yourself, B. You don't pull aggro, and C. You don't fall asleep.

Green dragons seem substantially more difficult, though we haven't gotten any kills (and very few attempts) in yet or had much practice on them. I'll let someone else comment on those.

Azuregos is the easiest non-gear dependant outdoor raid boss imo.
Ysondre comes close if your MT has a decent amount of nature res gear.

From there on its probably Kazzak, Emeriss, Taerar, Lethon from easiest to hardest.

Kazzak is dead easy. A 4 AM PUG of 20 people, half of whom were idiots, managed to kill him via the simple expedient of having 4 competent DPS, 2 competent healers, and a decent MT.

Azuregos is also simple, just long and annoying.

Ysondre is easy if the MT has good nature resist.

Taerar is chaotic, even with fear ward.

No experience with Lethon or Emeriss, so I'll let others speak to them.

Kazzak < Ysondre (MT with NR) <= Azuregos < Ysondre (MT without NR, tank rotation required) < Taerar/Lethon/Emeriss

-The Current "LoL We 12 Manned Kazzak For Gold" (Dont confuse with the first Kazzak, he fucking raped face)
-Azuregos, Just dont suck.
-Ysonder, aka free loot dragon.
-Lethon (The new fixed 1 shade lol 3 second stun one)
-Toss up between Emeriss/Taerar. You fuck up on either ones trigger and your >>fucked<<

It is my uninformed opinion that Emeriss is a lot of fun. The fight keeps you on your toes and demands top-notch execution.

I swear I'm going to do an /raitem for all the healing items and if they don't have them for Emeriss, I politely ask them to go to felwood instead.

Kazzak and Azuregos are by far the easiest with Kazak being the easiest. If you want to start the green dragons, as people have said get your tanks farming mauradon and baron strat for NR. Of the dragons Ysondre is by far the easiest, and I would say emeriss the hardest. I would say emeriss is teh hardest because we play on a PvP server where people really like to grief your emeriss attempts. On a side note girefing on emeriss is almost more fun then griefing the old kazzak.

Agreed on the toss-up between Emeriss and Taerar for "hardest."

On the one hand, you can zerg Taerar -- with enough manpower he's trivial even if you're sloppy. Excess manpower on Emeriss is a bad idea.

On the other hand, you can do Emeriss with <20 people with ease, whereas I wouldn't feel too good about bringing a tiny group with a shortage of tanks to fight Taerar.

Seriosly ? In my experience Lethon is hardest of all, and Taerar is a pushover, being slightly above Ysondre.

Only my guild has killed "old" Lethon on the server, and all raiding guilds killed at least Ysonder and Taerar.

Fun is for casuals

Months ago, Lethon was definitely the toughest.

Nowadays, everyone knows how to flip him, and with the nerf to the stun/shades phase, it's a fight you really can just take at your own pace. Granted we have some very good NR tanks, but Lethon with 15-20 people is very smooth and never really in doubt. Emeriss is always a bit more of a nailbiter due to the potential for a slight mishap to spiral into disaster, and Taerar just requires more manpower.

One caveat is Lethon's difficultly goes up a lot if you don't have a great NR tank.

Tank transitions don't make Ysondre or Emeriss any harder than they already are. Taerar gives the tank a free reset every 25% anyway.

But a relatively green raid group can have a lot of trouble trying to manage Lethon without someone who can reset with high reliability.

Alliance has never killed Lethon on Malganis ><.

Emeris seems 1 of the easiest for our Pick up mix of Loh / Validus / Advent. Taerar is easy, just need 3 tanks, and yosondra... well yeah

Even if the alliance know how to spin Lethon, he still is the hardest for any of us to kill. I think one of the closest attempts on him is the PG / Advent pick up we had. 33% on our 5th try, then extreme came in and 1 shotted him :(.

i think this is more a function of the fact that alliance has rarely, rarely even tried Lethon. i think LoH has only attempted Lethon twice, and both times were before the nerf, back when the stun lasted like 6 or 7 seconds and my NR was far worse than it is now.

in his current state, Lethon is probably fundamentally easier than emeriss and taerar. but because of the fact that we've killed emeriss and taerar many, many times and most people know exactly what to do, we consider Lethon harder and prioritize the dragons accordingly. this only perpetuates the cycle of lack of experience > lack of attempts > lack of experience, ad infinitum.
