So bored!
1. I don't really PvP much and as such don't really care about it. It does suck that no one wants to go on city raids anymore though.
2. Take the Nef ring, get the Ossirian necklace.
3a. Rogues are too fun to do anything else. I've tried!
3b. 22
4. Right now I'm a professional slacker who (hopefully) should be going back to college in 2007.
5. Basically just raids and a few hours collecting potions, managing inventory and messing around with my alts. It ends up eating a lot of time. And the occasional dragon spawn if my cell phone actually wakes me up.
6. 60 Rogue, 60 Shaman.
7. I play my shaman every once and a while, but for the most part I've sidelined him. Besides I still need to beat oblivion.
8. Our database says 36 epics, whatever that means. Plus some free stuff I've forgotten about.

1) I desprately miss town raiding. They should have just made the important NPCs invuln or super-powerful or something. DK's are a drag.
2) The ring is very nice. :)
3) I don't know. Druid was the first thing I rolled when I first started playing during the second stress test and I stuck with it. I tend to freak out about my role and respec constantly, and that might have been aleviated some just playing a pure class like a Priest, Rogue or Warrior. But Druid is the only one I can seem to stick with.
Questions about the player.
3) 21
4) Go to UMass Boston full time as a Classical Studies major :kaubel:, work at a restaurant part time (25+ hours).
5) Too much, at least 10 hours.
6) Never gotten an alt past 35 even. I get bored of them and always go back to my Druid.
7) I thought my Warlock would have been the one that I would get to 60, but then lost interest/tried to quit, etc. There is just too much still to do on my Druid (Librams of Protection.... :()
8) Lots, I'm a Druid. Probably ~40.

1) What is your opinion on Dishonorable Kills, good idea or bad one?
Don't really care. BGs are fun for me, town raiding never was. Sorry, just not my style - if I want zerg, I'll do AV.
2) Which is a better choice for a warrior that tanks some of the time and dps' part of the time, Nefarion Neck or Ring?
Not qualified to offer comment.
3) Do you like the class you chose to play or would you reroll given the opportunity, if so what class would you reroll?
I love my class. The only reroll I'd like is to have been human rather than gnome. I have a couple alts, none of which I can take seriously because none of them are as much fun as my rogue, although the lowbie warrior I'm twinking up through the levels is kinda fun.
That said, I don't think I'd ever switch my main unless Blizzard completely changes the focus of my class.
3) How old are you? (don't have to answer if you don't want to)
24.
4) What do you do for a living, i.e. school or work?
Signal processing and control systems engineering. Buncha math, basically.
5) How much time do you spend playing the game each week?
Probably 25-45 hours, depending.
6) How many 60s do you have and what class or classes are they?
1. Rogue.
7) Do you play any serious alts, if so what are they?
40 mage who hasn't leveled in a month, some lowbies.
8) How many epics do you have?
19.

As the only non-60 I see on these boards, I'll answer some that apply for my level.
First, had the game since November, have probably 7 days played over that period since I try to restrict playtime to when I can play with my girl (Orc Shaman).
Here is what I would like to know (in no paticular order)...
1) What is your opinion on Dishonorable Kills, good idea or bad one?
I actually thought the whole point of DKs were to discourage city raiding. With the servers such as they are, I assumed they didn't even want to deal with 140 players in a visible area at the same time. As a lowbie, I'm not sure the DK system has kept me from being ganked ever
3) Do you like the class you chose to play or would you reroll given the opportunity, if so what class would you reroll?
Maybe Druid, as it's a class that appeals to inherent alt-itis, while at the same time acting as a competent healer, which I've decided I like being. I also think I'd enjoy warlock since it seems fairly complicated on a non-raid (spam shadowbolt) level
Questions about the player.
3) How old are you? (don't have to answer if you don't want to)
23
4) What do you do for a living, i.e. school or work?
Computer Engineer with the Government
5) How much time do you spend playing the game each week?
In the past month I'd say it's around 12 to 18, before that: probably less
7) Do you play any serious alts, if so what are they?
I had a hunter alt I was planning on powerleveling to farm for me later, but then my friends rolled alliance on a different server and I don't have much non-main time much anymore anyway.
8) How many epics do you have?
None since they're all overpriced at this point, but I've always been very well-geared working my way up, since my girlfriend and I do like running instances, and I enjoy researching gear choices / number crunching.

1) Worst idea for PVP in any MMO. If anything, Blizzard should take a look at DAOC's frontier system and build something similar from that. It's not a part of the world cluster so it is instanced in a sense but it allows for an infinite amount of people.
2) I let people that actually care about numbers worry about that shit.
3) I like the class but with the current queue situation, I don't have the time or willpower to PVP.
4) 21
5) Was in school. On the DEP list for June which I just found out about today. Heading into Computer Architecture when I get out of AF basic.
6) Ballparking 15-20 hours. Used to be close to 40.
7) Priest
8) Not anymore

1) It depends on your faction. Most of the Mal'Ganis Alliance are afraid of PvP, so it discourages Horde from ruining their time at the Ironforge mailbox. (Raiding) Horde are bored to tears in the off hours but are afraid of losing the ever-important combat pot, so it forces the boredom on them. So I'd say its a good thing for the Alliance, horrible thing for the Horde. That changes from server to server, depending on who the dominant PvP side is. If it somehow became balanced, it would be bad for everybody.
2) I have 2 epic DPS rings and an epic tank neck, so I really wouldn't put much thought into it. I tend to go by the rule of buying 1 DPS item for every tank item I buy. It depends on my ratio.
3) I really like my Warrior, but I have been having fun with a fagadin whenever Mal'Ganis is down. It may just be because it's a new class. I have access to a priest, mage, and hunter and I think I can safely say that I wouldn't want to play any of them full time.
2nd 3) 21
4) I'm a computer networking administrator
5) 25-30 hours a week I guess
6) I have leveled just a Warrior to 60. I play a priest/mage/hunter pretty frequently, but I didn't do the majority of the leveling on any of them.
7) No serious alts, just downtime alts on other servers.
8) Counting resist gear, dps gear, tanking stuff and my bag o' trinkets? 38-40.

1) What is your opinion on Dishonorable Kills, good idea or bad one?
Bad, if you don't want a quest NPC to be killable, just make it unkillable, not an annoying guard-spamming blob of negative honor. Non-battleground PvP is far too scarce in WoW, DKs doesn't help this at all.
2) Which is a better choice for a warrior that tanks some of the time and dps' part of the time, Nefarion Neck or Ring?
Ring, the ossirian neck is almost as good for tanking, there is no comparable ring for dps that you can get in 20-mans though.
3) Do you like the class you chose to play or would you reroll given the opportunity, if so what class would you reroll?
Warriors sucked around launch and were pretty gimped, I am happy with it now though.
Questions about the player.
3) How old are you? (don't have to answer if you don't want to)

4) What do you do for a living, i.e. school or work?
Veterinary Technician for money, horribly-indecisive-about-my-career-path professional student so far as school goes
5) How much time do you spend playing the game each week?
It ranges from like 5 hours a week to maybe 30 or 40, depending on how burned out and bitter I am feeling about the game.
6) How many 60s do you have and what class or classes are they?
Two, warrior and mage
7) Do you play any serious alts, if so what are they?
Not really
8) How many epics do you have?
I think about 40 that cost points, and more from 20-mans and battlegrounds and whatnot, probably around 50 or so total. I also have a pony~

1) DKs are asphalt on the road to WoW hell. Okay, maybe not hell. More like purgatory. Which, now that I think about it, is actually the perfect term for my feelings about the endgame (especially PvP) right now.
2) Pass.
3) The only other classes I've enjoyed playing as much as a druid are warlock and (now that I've rerolled Horde on a different server) shaman. I'm pretty sure I will always have a druid main, though.
---
3) 27
4) Consulting geologist
5) 20+ hrs/week when I was in a raiding guild, now more like 10
6) One 60, a night elf druid
7) Most serious alt was a 43 gnome warlock, now leveling an orc shaman and tauren druid on a different server. I've leveled every class except rogue and hunter to at least 20.
8) About a dozen

Senior in physics heading into medicine in the fall
5) How much time do you spend playing the game each week?
20-40+
6) How many 60s do you have and what class or classes are they?
Horde: 60 Priest, 60 Rogue, 60 Shaman; Alliance: 60 Paladin - all on Mal'Ganis
7) Do you play any serious alts, if so what are they?
With our raiding schedule I haven't had much time to play my alts, but at the moment I would say my paladin is my more serious of the three alts.
8) How many epics do you have?
Too many ~ 40ish. My priest is very well geared, and my alts have a random assortment of purples.

1) The DK system wasn't designed very well. Blizzard was trying to force out some pvp content and we ended up with this half-assed shit. I don't like DKs and I especially don't like the fact they tag civilians in random places like fucking Gnomeregan.
2) The neck. I regret taking the ring.
3) I enjoy being a warrior and I especially enjoy the top-notch community of warriors in EJ. We're very close-knit and while maybe not respectful of each other, at least very entertaining and interesting.
So I don't know. If I was in a pubbie guild I would probably be a priest, which unshockingly, I am ...
Questions about the player.
3) 24
4) A little of this, a little of that.
5) Too much
6) I have 2 60's, a warrior in EJ and a priest in VXIX
7) My priest raids with another guild and has a whooping two pieces of trance.
8) Over both characters? Something like fifty to sixty.

1) None really
2) Most of our OT's are about 80% dps and 20% tank, so I'd probably say the ring. But it's probably heavily dependant on your stage of content.
3) My raid main is a mage. It literally takes a stiff breeze to get me to roll an alt, and I like to grind mobs when I'm thinking about something, so they level pretty naturally.
About Me.
3) 26
4) I'm in armor development
5) 15-40, depending on the week.
6) I have 4 60's now. My mage, a warrior, a warlock, and a druid. The mage is my main, the druid is specced resto and stands in if we're seriously short druids or healers, and the warlock is heavy destruction for toying around in BG's mostly. The warrior I don't play much, but will run 5 mans now and again.
7) I don't know about serious. I have a 52 rogue, a 27 shaman, and a 24 priest that I've logged more than twice in the past two weeks though. I love rested exp, what can I say?
8) 14 on my mage, 5 on my druid, 2 on my warlock

1. I hate them. Passionately. I could go on for a very long time about this, but instead I'll summarize my thoughts.
Before I played WoW, I played Planetside. Right now, I'm playing WoW and Oblivion. Something in common between all three games is that they have amazing worlds, lovingly handcrafted and filled with detail. Another thing in common is that they all have features or mechanics that funnel gameplay out of the world (or away from it) and into other places. I figure that to be self-defeating, a waste of development time, little fun, and just plain stupid.
I feel DK's (and battlegrounds!) to be a huge and detrimental contribution there. It's a shame, too, because the PVP groundwork is excellent.
2) Entirely up to the warrior in question. I fit such a description and chose the ring. My experience is that there are a bunch of comparable epic tanking necks, but comparable DPS rings are few and far between (AND have low drop rates). To top it off, I'm a stickler for getting the necessary +hit gear to zero out my miss rate.
3) I love my warrior, but at times I feel that my server is overflowing with AP/TOEP/ZHC frost mages and TOEP/ZHC Seduce/Nuke warlocks on the opposing side. Yes, I know they were nerfed, but referring to them as such is an example of the kind of skill they exhibit without their cooldowns.
In any case, that doesn't stop me from running into eighty-six of them while logging in at Cenarion Hold and merrily trotting to the AQ gates. My guildmates on vent could tell you how much fun I have being a warrior during such a time.
If I could reroll, it would be as a Soul Link Warlock with the necessary gear to have ridiculous felhunter resists and generally be immune to casters. I would exact merciless and horrific revenge upon every horde mage and warlock on my server. Then, I'd get a cold drink and log back on my warrior.
3 again) I'm 20.
4) Student + math tutor.
5) 30ish hours a week, mostly on the weekends/days I don't have classes.
6) Two: my warrior, and the rogue I started the game with and quickly became dissatisfied with (it now resides in a dusty closet).
7) I have a demonology-specced warlock (level 44 and rising!) that I play when I'm not raiding. Oh yes, I WILL have my revenge.
8) A lot. I've been raiding about as early as it was possible. The answer is somewhere a bit above 40 - including items rotted, and not including crafts or the occassional item that didn't cost DKP, either from ZG, a quest, etc.
