This post is a bunch of questions that I have wanted to know other's answers and opinions on for some time. I posted them all in one thread to keep it somewhat organized and to prevent you guys (Elitist Jerks) from thinking I am trying to spam your forums.
Here is what I would like to know (in no paticular order)... 1) What is your opinion on Dishonorable Kills, good idea or bad one? 2) Which is a better choice for a warrior that tanks some of the time and dps' part of the time, Nefarion Neck or Ring? 3) Do you like the class you chose to play or would you reroll given the opportunity, if so what class would you reroll? Questions about the player. 3) How old are you? (don't have to answer if you don't want to) 4) What do you do for a living, i.e. school or work? 5) How much time do you spend playing the game each week? 6) How many 60s do you have and what class or classes are they? 7) Do you play any serious alts, if so what are they? 8) How many epics do you have? In order to not seem like some sort of stalker or something here are my answers to the the questions I have asked... 3) 19 4) Freshman at Michigan 5) Probably 3 hours a day that my guild doesn't raid, and 6+ raiding nights. 6) I have one level 60 warrior on a pvp server. 7) I have a level 41 shaman and a level 11 priest (bank character). 8) I have around 20 to 25 epics. Now I want to hear your opinion, please respond, and thanks for your time. |

Prevents lowbie greifing, but kills city raiding. 2) Which is a better choice for a warrior that tanks some of the time and dps' part of the time, Nefarion Neck or Ring? Warriors Tank. If you pick the ring... please reroll. 3) Do you like the class you chose to play or would you reroll given the opportunity, if so what class would you reroll? I love playing my mage. So much. If I had a chance to reroll... Give me a warrior with the gear I would like (MC/BWL mix) and I would be happy. Questions about the player. 3) How old are you? 19 4) What do you do for a living, i.e. school or work? Work 8-4:30, Raid 6-12, Online Schooling Inbetween 5) How much time do you spend playing the game each week? Too many. 6) How many 60s do you have and what class or classes are they? 2, My Mage (My Main), and my Druid (My old main, another server) 7) Do you play any serious alts, if so what are they? No. 8) How many epics do you have? Every equip slot is purple. |
I think I saw this same set of questions in my email spam folder, only whoever sent it asked about my favorite TV show and mentioned something about forwarding it to 10 other people.

1) DKs, although a good concept, were implemented the wrong way in my opinion. Blizzard wanted to stray away from level 60s griefing lower level players trying to quest and such but they made DKs to easy to attain and way too costly. The way it is now, they have completely discouraged faction city raiding and world pvp as a whole. People that pvp usually like to keep decent ranks even if they're not en route to GM to at least maintain access to combat pots. That being said, DKs are far from the lone cause for the lack of world pvp, they just discourage the occasional raids that people would form up to have some fun while killing some time. 2) I'm no expert on warrior itemization, so I'll leave this for someone else. 3) I love my rogue, although if I had a chance to change the class I rolled on day one, it would probably be a priest or a warrior. I've played almost every class in a raid setting and those 2 seem to put you on the edge at most times, although it kinda sucks that you can't take a quick leave without making the whole raid wait for you or aggrivating some people in a lot of cases. -------------------------------------- 3) 20 4) In college, currently on a coop term. 5) Used to be a upwards of 40-50 hours, its cut down to about 20-30 lately since I'm usually only on for raids and I can only take so much of levelling an alt at a time. 6/7) Two 60s, a warrior and a rogue. I also have two mid level (29-30) priests, one of which I play as a twink and the other I plan on getting to 60. 8) A lot on my rogue, pretty much full MC/BWL/AQ gear and a few MC/ZG epics on my warrior. |

It was implemented very poorly, in that A. civilians, for a long time, would respond to the calls of non-civilians and attack opposing players, and B. the actions of your raid-mates give you your own negative standing, which you cannot control. Not to mention the fact that it has, more or less, completely killed town raids and world PvP. 2) Which is a better choice for a warrior that tanks some of the time and dps' part of the time, Nefarion Neck or Ring? Depends what they already have for a necklace and rings. 3) Do you like the class you chose to play or would you reroll given the opportunity, if so what class would you reroll? I have a 26 Mage alt that I've started to play more seriously 8) How many epics do you have? 20 epics, 21 if you count my old Gloves of Holy Might. |

As reflected above, it really put a huge damper on town raiding and there are other, better solutions to the lowbie/town ganking problem(s) than this. 2) Which is a better choice for a warrior that tanks some of the time and dps' part of the time, Nefarion Neck or Ring? No comment. Others are probably better qualified. 3) Do you like the class you chose to play or would you reroll given the opportunity, if so what class would you reroll? Playing a Warrior is a blast in PvE. I love tanking. Also, running around in PvP with a Paladin entourage is a fucking blast. If I were given the choice of playing another class, I'd probably pick a Mage (which would be the 4th) or a Warlock. Kiting is just too fun. 3) How old are you? (don't have to answer if you don't want to) 24 4) What do you do for a living, i.e. school or work? Analyst. 5) How much time do you spend playing the game each week? Um... 30+ hours? 6) How many 60s do you have and what class or classes are they? 60 Undead Mage, 60 Troll Mage, 60 Tauren Shaman, 60 Gnome Warrior 7) Do you play any serious alts, if so what are they? Not anymore. 8) How many epics do you have? About a dozen or so. |

No, not while AQ is unbeaten. I've also taken to playing other games instead of alts so that WoW holds more savor when I do play, and I don't get frustrated. Doesn't always work, but usually it does. Plus I've gotten to play DQVIII, Tales of Legendia, half of Grandia III, and Suikoden V. 8) 49 + an accurascope. |
I see my words are misunderstood by some, I was looking for anyone to reply to this thread. By saying Elitist Jerks, I was stating that I did not want them to be annoyed by my post.

1) Agree with Wodin. Good idea, bad implementation. Yes, you want to disincentivize griefing, but I really miss stuff like hitting up Darnassus and killing the faction leader there, and hanging around until an organized Alliance group came to dislodge us, and having some excellent PvP. Back when there were no Battlegrounds and minimal raid content, raiding Alliance cities was a nightly activity, and it was fun.
2) Ring if Fury, Neck otherwise. 3a) Yes. I have no alts. I would've preferred to be a paladin, and I probably would opt for that route given the choice, but being Horde trumped being a paladin when it came time to decide. 3b) 26 4) Lawyer 5) Too much (30 hours probably?) 6) One 60, no alts, no desire to make an alt. 7) See above. 8) The real question should be "how many legendaries do you have?" |
