I'm probably just being a little naive here but did he seriously just path down? Because we killed Fankriss a few weeks ago and while we were dealing with loot we all got pewpew'ed and Viscidus came charging down. We just blamed it on our one resident idiot member at the time, but this is unusual if true.

We have no clue how he got aggroed, unless one of the jokester hunters figured it out and didn't tell us. We didn't even think he could possibly be pulled from his room!
Basically we're all standing around figuring out loot and recovering, when I see a green blob in the corner of my screen. "Oh great, someone aggroed a Flesh Hunter..... wait, there aren't Flesh Hunters in Temple.... what the.." and he just destroyed us as we laughed in Vent.
So yeah, it's funny that it happened to someone else too. :)

After he came down and spit poison all over us, I wondered about this too.
My guess would be that once you freeze and crack him, he'd pop and all the little blobs would spawn in his room. He'd reform back up there. He's probably path out to the nearest aggro target and leash properly.
I can't see how pulling him out of his room would give you any advantage.

our first night on fankriss way back when, i feigned out of a wipe, got up, and shadowmelded in a corner. i somehow got aggro after everyone else had zoned in to reclear the bug tunnel, putting everyone else in combat, and fankriss trained the entire tunnel up to the rest of the raid.
