While it's not completely in-line with your dream parody, I do believe that you'll be happy to hear that in the next patch, the Dire Maul Librams will no longer be a requirement for the Zul'Gurub enchantments. Instead, a new item drop from either Bloodlord Mandokir or Jin'do the Hexxer, along with the class appropriate Voodoo doll will be all that is necessary, making these enchants much more accessible to players.

We do plan to incorporate additional use for the Librams, but the specifics are yet to be determined.

All I can say is fuck the farmers and their 500g librams.

WTB Scholo run, so that I can get those Skin of Shadow so I can get my ZG enchant done before they change it on me.

I'll be pissed if I can't use this libram of focus and then it's no longer worth anything.

hmm, certainly a useful addition, but not if it limits jindo and mandokir drops from 2 blue/epics and piece to 1 blue/epic, 1 piece and random enchant thing.

but meh, say buy to 500g librams indeed :)

I'm going to be pissed if they don't give me something to reimburse me for my Kossack, considering that it's *useless* for me otherwise. I'll probably attempt to get my enchant finished, at the very least, by 1.11, but I can imagine a lot of "Why the fuck do I still have 'X'" posts, or "I bid 23DKP, and all I got was this crappy packdoll".

Based on what we've heard so far, I'm hesitant. At least now I have the option of buying my enchant. If the new drops are BoP and 1-2 per boss, we're looking at a lot of ZG runs.

I want to know what "much more accessable" means. Does that mean the drop will be BoE and we'll just end up paying 600g for it instead of a libram?

Nah, the post makes it sound like it's just the new drop plus a doll. It was necessary. The old system was very broken, with some classes needing rare Aegis/Tabard/Kossack drops, while others needed Armsplint/Stanchion/etc. which grow on trees. No way to balance that.

Well, I've got my Arcanum of Protection sitting in the bank, but after a month or so of ZG runs no Aegis. Tseric did say that 1.11 was "a long ways off" in his mage post though. I say if you have your Arcanum now, use it. The new thing they implement can't be that great.

Sure there is, make them all have the same chance to drop. The BP's need more rep to make anyway so it's not like it's a big deal if they are slightly easier to get.

If that was true, that means 2 people (to what I would guess if I followed the same train of thought as you) can do an enchant. A run.

So if your unlucky on your rolls, by the time you enchant your newest pair of legs, they are already out of date.

That's not that bad. Figure you replace your helm and legs every 6 months on average. Figure you don't care about ZG rep or Hakkar or whatever anymore and you only kill Bloodlord and Jin'do. That takes 40 minutes. A static group of 20 will have to run ZG 3.3 times per month, for 40 minutes each time, to stay up-to-date on new enchants. Now factor in people bringing alts along for a shot at the Bag of Whammies, Hexxer's Cover, Mandokir's Sting, etc., and that number goes down.

As compared with the time required to get a Libram of Focus, run Scholo until I get two skins (winning the rolls, etc.), and so forth, I'll take it.

It's also one less PuG I have to run (DM + Scholo) because my guildies won't do it. Hearing a PuG leader say "We'll all roll on that libram of focus because it sells well" makes me ball up my hands into tightly packed fists, extend my thumbs, and just gouge the hell out of my eyes.
