As a raiding paladin that enjoys doing damage during pvp I find myself respecing a couple times a week depending on my raid schedule to pvp. So I was curious how many times have you changed the talents on your character?

Blech. I don't change my talents all that often(typically shifting spec with weapon, recently flirted with hemo for two days before going back for fixed c'thun). I've been at 50g for a while.

It's basically a fact of life if you've got an old character.

I respecced feral for a little while (OoC build). Didn't like it too much so I went back to 1/19/31. I had a warlock at 60 who got to the 50g mark :(.

Cost me 40g on Monday to spec to 2H Fury.

I quite literally plan my specs out for weeks before I buy them.

Hmm. Well I had a predominantly Affliction build for levelling, as you do.

Then not long after I hit 60 and started raiding I changed to SM/Ruin.

Then when they did our talent revamp I used the free spec to go MD/Ruin.

Then when 5/5 Devastation and Ruin got me killed plenty in BWL, I went 7/31/13.

In summary, my respec cost is still at like 20 silver or something and I am a cheap bastard.

50g respec once every 2 weeks on average, since patch 1.7 or so. I keep finding reasons to respec, such as "oh i miss my old raid dps with sm/ruin" "oh i miss my hilarious burst damage as nf/conflag" or "oh man if i had soul link that 2v1 wouldve been easy". I seem to rotate through those three builds. However ive been soul link for about 2 weeks now and im trying to avoid any temptation to respec.

Character created 1/05/05, next respec cost 15g.

Was Arc/Fire though 38, then went full Frost, building towards 33/18.
Second respec right after 60, realizing that I needed Arctic Reach. Still 33/18.
Third respec halfway through BWL, to 28/23 Arc/Frost.

Been contemplating a fourth respec for a while. Among other reasons, to grab Imp. Blizzard to help with Nef P1. I simply can't bring myself to respec to only move two points, though. I've been contemplating making a bigger change, possibly to a crazy tri-spec build I want to make work.

Most likely though, I'll just wind up waiting for the free Mage respec in 1.11.

Char created 19th May '05, had 2 respecs

Was Fire/Arc while levelling and some time at 60
Started Raiding, respecced to weird variant of 20 Arc/31 Frost
Second respec after month of so raiding, switched to optimal raiding DPS - 30 Arc/21 Frost

Not gonna respec till 1.11.

My next respec will bring me up to the 50g mark. I was 28 Arc/23 Fire until level 59 and then went 40 Frost/11 Arc for a long time. Around Ragnaros time I went 31 Arc/20 Frost and since Nef I've been 29 Arc/22 Frost. Almost all other respecs have been due to messing up odd talent points.

Three times on my druid, once on my hunter. And I've been playing since retail. :D

It'll be 5g for your paladin, I don't know when you made newarrior but the talent reset for class review will use one of your respec cost tiers up.

Anglakel is at 40g with 70 days played
Armstrong is a 4 times repeater at 50g with 70 days played
I respeced after I quit oddly enough to get rid of anger management.

Spent 20g to respec to SM/Ruin for a super fast MC run. Last night I specced back to Dark Pact because I missed it so much. Those were my first respecs (besides on Test) since the warlock talent review.

I've been enhancement/resto for as long as I can remember, I just dont want to have to level up 2H Maces / 2H Axes, as they haven't fixed that bug since beta :(

I think I am only up to around 25 gold for my next respec. Most of my respecs have been tiny changes though, the only major change was my very first when i went from Arcane/Fire to a 31 point Frost build. Since then it's been minor things like speccing more Arcane for Instability, or speccing into Arcane Subtlety, or into Arcane Meditation once I got 8piece Netherwind.

Almost 2k gold spent respeccing here. I absolutely must know everything about every talent in my class.

Started out destruction, since i had a paladin leveling alongside me and healing me throughout 1-40. Hit 40, realized how much a 1.5 sec. conflag sucked balls, and respec'd affliction. Then quickly realized that Imp. Drain Soul does not function as the tooltip would indicate. After futile attempts at bitching out GM's for such a shitty talent, I respec'd again to another DP build.

Got the free respec, went MD/Ruin, missed insta corruption, went back affliction, but fucked up the allocation (WTB Undo button), and had to respec again. Once I started raiding MC, it was byebye dark pact for SM/Ruin.

Then hello dark pact, then wait a minute, what's this SM/DS bullshit? No, 3 second shadowbolts sucks. SM/Ruin. 7/21/23 (My favorite spec period), then BWL, so MD but no ruin, then Soul Link, Finally 8/8 nemesis, so back to MD/Ruin. I'll probably go back to 7/21/23 when the other raiders get their NR up so I'm not in "The Wall" on huhuran.

All in all I think I just spent 45g, which is pretty good I think for a warlock. Imp Drain soul needs to die in a car fire though.

Probably up to ~1500g spent on respeccing. Near 2k counting my alts.

I don't know exactly what I'm at but I think it's somewhere from 25-35g. My first respec was mid-50s from retribution for leveling and then I stuck with a tri-spec for a while until the paladin review where I went with another tri-spec variant and then decided to spec into 30/21 for PvE. One of our warriors is up to like 17k gold worth of respecs.

It vies for the title of Worst Talent with Improved Spellstone and Improved Firestone. It might be okay (but not good) if it actually worked as advertised. I still wouldn't use it, though.
