The Draenei are proof that science and religion can co-exist. We should be rejoicing about the Paladins driving inter-dimensional spaceships, as it is a metaphor for the goals we, as humanity, should be trying to reach.


I am somewhat annoyed though by the lack of an "ugly" race for the Alliance. Yes, the Draeneidar are not reskinned or disproportionate humans, but they aren't the hunched over semi-deformed things that certain physical traits of orc/troll/ud can create.

They are beautiful. I love them. Give me one.

They have a bit of a funny walk and their chests are sticking juuuust a tiny bit forward but yea, they're really not ugly. In fact, in terms of video-gaming attractiveness the females don't look too bad either.

Garona was also half human, half orc.

She was half-human, half-orc until War3 when she was changed to half-Draenei, half-orc.

While this thread is about the Alliance race, Horde players can take solace in knowing that they are adding another completely awesome dance to complement Hammer Time.

I like how many people are suddenly whining about lore. Lore obviously stopped mattering the moment Vivindi explained the bottom line. Metzen has done an incredible job of continuing to salvage his world in spite of continual attempts by the corporate monster to strike him down. I couldn't work in conjunction with anyone on any plot unless I had exclusive approval rights on external ideas or directions. Ugh.

Oh boy! We get to go to Luclin and new starting areas which will make existing starting areas obsolete, due to efficiency factor! Hooray! Oh, wait...I think I had a bad flashback or something, there. We're going to Draenor, which will actually be playable at release due to the new servers countering the insipid lag that would come from 100+ n00bs an hour rolling their precious whatever races and bitching at each other for taking all the three-eyed frog spawns from their newbie quests.

Corrupted, my ass. We've always hated everyone and wanted to kill most anything, universally. We're just too loyal to our warchiefs for our own good. Bloody warchiefs and their silly "politics". Now we're finally going to get to pound the Draenei proper, but mostly only in pre-sanctioned and politically correct "Battlegrounds" where we have to wait patiently in line for them to be ready to fight our group. Man's always gotta be keeping me down. :(

Female Dranei should look like Orbb from Quake 3, for no other reason than to be about as far from elven and "cute" as possible.
