If this is true, this makes Naxrammas the first instance in the game where a character will need a certain reputation with a long existing (or any) faction to be able to enter it. Whilst attunement in itself is not you, bearing in mind a player will start at neutral with Argent Dawn, this reputation grind will take roughly a week or so to complete. Fortunately, its only Honoured, but more importantly, its only gold, so not quite so stressful as the Onyxia chain.

Just imagine the outroar if it ahd been necessary to be revered to attune to Nax :)

Is this method a way forward? Admittedly with Argent Dawn its very easy to get to honoured, and most level 60s have been through Stratholme and Scholomance enough times. I'm just wondering whether anyone else thinks this is a trend to come.

Amazing, 30g savings for going from Honored to Exalted. That's really representative of the hundreds of hours it takes to grind that out.

well my priest's a blacksmith, i might try and get the last 4k rep i need for exalted before the patch goes live so i can make the armour as soon as. But at the moment that's the only incentive for exalted for me.

Might add better shoulder enchants for exalted instead of +5 to all resistances. something like +5 Frost resistane + 18 damage and healing or +5 forst resistance + 4 m/5.

I suppose it could be annoying if you recently swapped mains or re-rolled or something. I changed to my warrior from my shaman about 8 months ago. Shaman was exalted and since I kind of went straight into MC upon hitting 60 with my warrior I never got to grind AD rep that well. Thank god for Flask runs these last few months, I'm halfway honoured now I think.

Still, I think it's a bit weird. "Yay finally we honour you great hero, here's your fucking medal which, coincidentally, will let you into that Floating City of Death we've been battling for a while now. Oh, and we're gonna need 30 gold for err... not respecting us enough to make us revere you." So yea....

Where did you read that they will reset the AD rep?

Regardless if they do, getting honored is pretty easy.

DK - Ashbane Failure is the condiment that gives success its flavor.

Think he means you start out as Neutral when you roll a new character. I also can't really see where he says they'll reset the rep which I find unbelievable in the first place :)

I guess the people who are exalted are pissed off, or something. It's like the Thunderfury thing, Blizzard won't listen to a minority whining on the forums (who am I kidding, they won't listen to anyone). The 30g is a bit of a blow though, I might have to go out and farm. I've been sitting on ~15g lately due to BWL repairs and such.

why do you think that you pay 30g to get to exalted? I'm reading it like: "Ok you're honoured, fair enough, give me 30g and you get a key." OR "Ok wow you're exalted, grats man, here's your key free of charge"

There are very few people that have characters ready for naxx that are not honored so obviously this should not be a big deal and if it is then spend a week and get yourself there. It is still less of a headache than the original onyxia chain was. I view the free attunement like Jo_ does. There are definately other benefits to being exaulted(see recipes) so this is just a bone.

I like that they are now using some old rep grinds that really had few benefits(namely exaulted AD and anything above honored Hydraxian). A little late but blizzard is cleaning up alot of issues I have had and that makes me happy.

Did you ever get your scholo key made? Maybe it's just a materials cost. Honored = "here's the gold we need to make you an attunement crystal" vs. Exalted = "shit, we love you so much that we'll eat the cost ourselves, have fun in there!"

Either way it's a pretty silly thing to fret over. You'll have weeks between learning of the attunement requirement on Test and having to do it on Live.

Well they made it sound like a pay 30g and get attuned thing. Of course it's Vhell's words (saw it on whataboutpp.com) but a quest in the line of the Scholo key would be awesome.

Perhaps something to do with those "little" floaters near every main city that we've seen in screenshots? Bring us the shattered pieces of a key from all 6(?) and we'll put it back together for a measly cost of 30g kind of thing?

I'm not worried about the gold tho. China recently discovered our outback server :)

9000 / 5 = 1800 mobs, 20 mobs per AE pull in the WPL fields takes care of that in a big hurry. Do Strath/Scholo a few times for quest rewards and it won't be an issue for most people at all.
