hehe, well you guys all know about the guy from EU-Chrommagus (mr 50 dkp minus). Imagine if EJ released some sound bites for downlaod, gurg saying in vent stuff like "Sheepy, you're off the case", they'd become global catchphrases.

I use sheepy's sig as an example because everytime i see it i can't help myself but to chuckle.

I vendored my onyxia scale cloak once, and just as i was logging out i remembered and just managed to cancel it and buy it back. Which is good as onyxia scales go for about 1000g each on Raganros if anyone is selling them.

On Sunday I forgot to put on my Onyxia Cloak for Nefarian, which as the raid leader is pretty embarressing. However, somehow I managed to resist the Shadowflame completely, which I didn't even think was possible... ?

The normal shadow flame that the drakes + Nefarian breathe deals shadow damage and can be resisted, but even if you resist it you will still get the massive damage-over-time effect that is certainly fatal with no cloak.

However, the shadow flame that Nefarian breathes when he lands deals fire damage, and if you resist it fully you will not be afflicted by the damage-over-time component regardless of your cloak status.

I heartstoned instead of summoning someone at the MC entrance once :(

I fail at reading, but that does sound far more like how our hunters hear it about tranq :P


This used to happen to us as well, we would hit "the wall" around 11:30. People can only wipe so much when you arent making much progress

I died Tueday this way. At first I was mad 'cause I thought I had died from the shadowflame damage hit when he landed, not the dot.

"Dammit healers, you couldnt keep me above enough life to survive the landing shadowflame?"

Minor tangent.. Here's a simple macro to see who in your raid is not wearing an Onyxia Scale Cloak.

Exactly. Worn items don't show up on /raitem, which scans bag slots. If it's in their bag, they aren't wearing it, are they? (A couple of our MTs had two made so they could put SR on one for Ebonroc/Nef and FR on the other for general use, but I know who whose people are.)

Ah right, I wasn't aware it didn't scan worn items; I don't think I've ever used it for anything besides Aqual Quintessence and bandages (to see who best to steal from).

God, they need to put in an "Onyxia Scale Enchant" or some such at some point. Spending loads of DKP on a cloak I can rarely use at the point in the game that I'm in now is not a fun dynamic.

You miss my point: I'm referring to the fact that I use my Onyxia Scale Cloak over my Cloak of Firemaw on Nefarian, Firemaw, Flamegor, Vaelastrasz, Ragnaros, and Fire Packs. Especially since they've borked vanish/swapping (damn Blizzard). Sorry, must have put it poorly.
