Naxx info?

I've seen several people saying they've been inside Naxx now and done attempts on the first boss, so can the rest of us who can't get on test right now get some info? What's the trash like to clear to him? Does the first boss really seem Twin Emp-like in difficulty?

I think most raids have been owned by mini-spawning bugs straight away, but I'm not in a position to comment by the standards of the EU test realm.

He's an endurance fight, but gimmicky and not really on par to twin emps. Once you stabilize the encounter by not having his adds overwhelm you it doesn't seem overly hard. We got him to around 17% or so last night and then left due to sleep calling.

Fun fact: AI pathing is still buggered, letting healers avoid the insect swarm beetles entirely by jumping on that decorative crate near the causeway's entrance.

Is this like an aoe-able bug swarm, or just kinda a bolt-like ability of bugs that skitter towards you, like in Strat?

Nah, it's a swarm. They can be frost novaed, etc, but it's not really sustainable as they have too much hp to really aoe (5k or so) and tend to overwhelm you easily. Raid positioning is a big part of this fight though, so if you cluster enough it may be doable.

Our best attempt may have been bugged though, we had some glitchy LoS issues at one point.

Its interesting that the posters on the official forums (with PUGs) are allready saying its undoable,and not bug related after one day. I think that says a lot about how usefull this "testing" is going to be.

I don't think it says very much at all, really. The test server is currently loaded with pregenerated characters and pick-up groups, as you stated. This says nothing at all about the ability nor coordination of the raid groups which have been trying out the zone, thus saying that the encounters are "unbeatable" doesn't carry all that much weight. Give it a bit longer, let people actually put in some solid attempts instead of jumping to conclusions, and ideally the servers will settle down some and gain a bit of stability. Once character-copy gets going right (since it seemed to be a bit iffy on friday) we'll probably see some solid results from established raid groups.

It was also posted by a CM that the PTR would be up a long time. I imagine the load of people trying out new stuff will be reduced soon enough and the people interested in testing Naxx and not just seeing the new flashy things will get a better chance of logging in.
