I'm sorry if this has been brought up before, but I was just wondering how good Maladath is in OH for combat sword rogues (20/31/0), non humans. I've heard its the best for pve raiding (mostly conserned about bosses, so mobs with lvl 63). If it is the best, what stats would a weapon need (stats, dps and maybe speed) would another weapon need to be considered better? Would anything that dosnt have weapon skills on it be considered better, assuming resonable stats (not a weapon with +20 crits and such)?
Thanx for any info you guys can give me :)

It's currently the second-best weapon in the game. Depending on your maindhand and other gear it might actually surpass Iblis, but that would be really really hard.

That would make sense then :)
PS: We've not had a single Maladath in over 6 months, our rogues are sad.

Ah, them's the words I love to see the evening after I looted myself a Maladath. :)
As for those Naxx models.. regardless of the stats, it's pretty clear they are all upgrades over the AQR in terms of looks. That Iblis/Insatiable is particularly classy.

I picked mine up 3 days ago ;)
It dropped for us quite a few months ago, and another rogue went full out on it. I looked at it, and thought it was missing any "proper" stats, and didnt really want it. But after reading recently about +weapon skills it was suddenly high on my list to get. Now I just need to get hold of a proper MH, BB is getting old when ur half way thru AQ.

We finally got our first Maladath after about 6 months of farm status. At this point every other rogue is just giving up and respecing daggers and pretending it doesnt exist.

That first one actually is Iblis; apparently they decided to switch some graphics and names around some and it is what used to be the Insatiable Blade.

Is Iblis an acronym or the actual name?

Khazal, sir, you have excellent skills in providing screenshots, and even better taste in music.
OK. Name change explains it.

Also edited my other post further up, I went hunting and found the tanking sword in the Naxx items thread.
Sekdar, do you have a link or anything? Haven't seen the wraith blade you mention.

So the Insatiable Blade changed into this all of a sudden? Maybe they're going to use the previous Insatiable Blade model for a mainhander, that'd be nice.

If a rogue had MH CoBD and OH Maladath, would the +skill on Maladath reduce the severity of MH glancing blows, or only those on the OH?
I am confused because I know that the talent for Claw Specialization will apply +crit to the offhand, but am unaware if the +weapon skill works in reverse.

No it will not. You need +unarmed skill for that.

It would only apply to the OH since the Claw, is well, a claw, thus would'nt gain from the +swordskill. Have'nt tested it but it makes sense, since having muggers belt would have no impact for a sword rogue.

Also, the myth about fist skill giving +5% crit to an non-fist OH must die. It's not true anymore. You need two of the same kind of weapon to get the benefits.
