Almost exactly the same--I posted some details of our experiences with Patchwerk on the "PW Healing" thread. Either of our first two kills would easily have wiped without CoR.

The argument of cor seems to be done but I'm just gona go ahead and say plz don't ever fucking siphon life for any reason, horrible waste of a debuff slot. The health you gain to "sustain" your dps isn't worth the crap dpm/dps of it.
And also, never COA unless its amp'd, the extra global cooldown time and extra mana cost of COA compared to COD makes it pointless to use, unless the mobs gonna die in under a min of course. In my gear (about 620~ +dmg) the dmg done by COA over a minute of time is under 8~ dps more than COD, but COD is almost double the DPM and only requires 1 global cooldown, so I never see any reason to ever COA without amp curse, unless the mobs gona die in under a min of course.

I wish I could convince my guild to use CoR, but no luck so far. Anyway, I have a similar question.

My guild was trying Instructor Razuvious last night. With 31 people, we got him down to 11% before a wipe. This was without pally buffs on the raid (laziness ftl) and with some people naked. At this point, we decided to do some "real attempts." In the next attempts we buffed the understudies with everything (which resulted in priests yelling when they saw MotW up, haha). Anway, as an offtank, it felt like I was taking a lot more damage from understudies. I believe that blessing of might gives 222 attack power to the understudies, which would be about 16-ish-dps; however it felt like they were hitting for about 200-300 more. It could be that I was taking unlucky hits, but probably these guys get some sort of bonus damage multiplier like the "CoR on boss" issue, right?

So, is blessing of might a bad idea here?

Well yeah, if you go and read the other threads about +/- AP on mobs and bosses, you'll see that they all scale, similar to the effect of demo shout, bat screech, etc.

Probably not the best plan IF healing the tanks is a problem. However, it will help the adds do threat on the boss a lot better, and at the same time will give your raid a nice dps boost. Whether or not you want to use that is up to you.
