Most of the trash mobs I've encountered in Naxx are not too bad. They're unique, challenging, and not particularly tedious. I imagine my feelings will change when we try the trash leading up to Faerlina, but for now I like it.

Speaking of trying new trash, we got introduced to Living Monstrosity packs tonight. We pulled the bastards and proceeded to get COMPLETELY WTFPWNED(gg Lightning Totem). What's bad about that? Nothing at all. Just the way I like it(except for the reclear through the stupid slimes =/)

Things I know so far:
9 Mobs in the pack
--------------------
1 Living Monstrosity
4 Mad Scientists
4 Surgical Assistants
--------------------

They all have about the same HP, monstrosities repeatedly drop Lightning Totems that spam 2000 points of Nature damage at their target, much like Skeram's earth shock. Assistants Mindflay repeatedly for about 600-700/tick. Mad scientists are pretty boring as far as I can tell. The Monstrosities also have an AoE fear. Shackle, Silence, and Stuns were not working. One of our healers also mentioned something about a mana burn effect, but I didn't notice it. If there is one, it's likely attached to the otherwise boring Mad Scientists(pure speculation). I have a feeling most of our problems stem from 1. Failure to handle Lightning Totems quickly and 2. Only having 4 Warriors when we were working on them.

Do I have everything covered or am I missing anything? I'm not looking for a walkthrough, just hoping to compare notes so we can zone in prepared tomorrow night =)

Thanks!

We thought these packs were going to be a royal rapefest when we first encountered them as well, but they are really not that bad. You've got about all of what they do listed there, except you forgot to mention that the the Mad Scientists mana burn now and then. Most of the mobs hit like sissies on tanks. Think of them like glorified lava imp packs in MC, with the exception that the monstrosity can't be allowed to fear the whole raid.

If you aren't a goblin, why not?

Ahh, turns out Otep(one of our priests) was right about the mana burn then. Thanks Steelfleece!

The scientists also heal, but they didn't do it very often.
