I like the data this provides, but would it be possible to have it just input data like the first spreadsheet? Being a user of CTProfiles, its kinda frustrating to have to look up each item and input its stats manually each time.

EDIT : This would also allow for diffrent races of warrior, given that's something CTProfiles already calculates.

Also while I'm guessing the answer is no is there accurate modeling for HoJ yet?

Are you referring to my spreadsheet?

Those are things I'll look to add. I want to make it similar to Chalon's spreadsheet(the UI), but I have no idea how to make pulldowns in excel. And I'm still a bit confused about the VLOOKUP function. I've searched all over Chalon's sheet, and I can't find where he stores his database for gear.

Yes I am referring to your spreadsheet. I want to give it a whril, but the extra time in inputting the gear is a bit intimidating, so to speak.

Honestly I really liked the UI in the first spreadsheet, because from a CTProfile page I could copy a few things over and be good to go. I think Chalon uses extra sheets (not sure the terminology, its how you seperated DW from 2H on your sheet) for the item database, but its a bit...sparse.

The sheets are hidden sheets. Go to Format>Sheet>Unhide and select the option for what item you want.

I think Chalon uses extra sheets (not sure the terminology, its how you seperated DW from 2H on your sheet) for the item database, but its a bit...sparse.

How exactly is it sparse? I've got every reasonable item a rogue could be using more or less. Let me know what else you think should be there :P.

I've been to AQ40 maybe twice so far :P Hell I still have blue shoulderpads off of Bloodlord in ZG :p

Its not a huge deal, but it kinda stinks to see maybe 3 or 4 of your items recognized by the spreadsheet.

The actual calculation for cell B62 is

B69 * (B48 + C52 + C57 + C59)

which translates to

Armor mitigation * (White + BT + Execute + Hamstring)

From my perspective, it makes more sense to include the whirlwind DPS in that calculation, unless I missed something along the way.

Otherwise, the spreadsheet looks quite nice. Just want to make sure that's a typo and not something I didn't understand. Thanks

You're right, that's a mistake on my part. I'm leaning towards just throwing out that model all together because it only accounts for 1 full-bar execute. Which in no way models sustained DPS at all, only DPS on short trash mobs, and I'm sure no one here really cares about that. I'll make sure to change my notes to point out that the 80%/20% model is the one I think models sustained warrior DPS the best. THe 55/45 one is crap as well.

Chalon, how do you make those pulldowns?

Well can you list out what items you have that you think should be listed?

Its not that big a deal, a lot of people that use calculators are on a bit more of the cutting edge of gear. I see the value in listing items seperately, I'd just like a way to input all the stats at once (unbuffed AP, battle critrate, hit, skill, weapon damage range, speed) and see the totals. Plus taurens start with diffrent stats than gnomes :p

Also I'm not sure if the dropdowns work in OpenOffice, I had to type in the names manually.

Yeah for those sheets a "overwrite" gear section where you supply unbuff stats that matter like the previous poster said would be nice. Basically if there is something int aht column use that value if not take it from the gear total.

That wouldn't work too well because of stat's interaction with BoK, and hopefully, vitality soon.

I'm leaning towards using Chalon's method of gear input because it's more convenient for most people instead of having to change stats around each time.
