Yeah, but you guys are Elitist (and Jerks) :)

For a lot of other guilds, mana tide is a pretty important tool. Specifically on Nef (got him down again this week, after a few weeks of floundering because of defections) we usually have 5 shams, 3-4 of which have tide. One on the MT, one on the OT, one on the rogues, two in the healer batteries. When the battery shams have burnt their tides and trinkets, one of the others is rotated in.

It's reaching and in a perfect world we wouldn't have to do it, but hey, the scaly beast is dead, and with our gear/over all raid skill level, there isn't another way at the moment.

Point being, this sort of rotation leaves very little room for totems on hunters at all, and certainly not consistant manatide. No disrespect Praet, but I think a lot more guilds are in the "reaching straining hungry for healer mana" zone then the "killed it all farmed it all I never run out of mana zone".

I do not agree with this sentiment. I have always maintained that a Hunter should be second overall in single-target damage contribution. Rogues truly earn the right to be first, with the hardships they face in most high-end encounters. However, why do you feel Hunters should come behind Mages?
I don't get why mages all think they deserve to be higher DPS in raids then hunters... all hunters bring is single target DPS really... mages bring more utility and AE..... espicially now that blizzard seems to get past the "Omg aggro fights" and mage aggro reduction is better then ever..... besides encounters w/ tranq shot your better off w/ a mage then a hunter...
Because Hunters get Mail and a Pet and that's completely unbalanced!

I say play a hunter so you don't have to pay for ridiculous repair costs!

Are agro-sensitive fights really going bye-bye? Seems a shame to kill the advantage to dps classes have over the other two.

Aggro sensitive fights will remain - but never like they were in BWL, was the basic quote.

Also, after the patch, Mages aggro drops a lot anyway : -30% aggro is a big amount. (Although the average mage gains 16% extra damage as well, so it sort of evens out a bit).

EDIT : Aggro sensitive fights like BWL should never be done again. Definitely tailor fights to play to the strengths of certain classes - but never again make fights where some clases can do literally nothing about what's happening.
