what factors determine aggro when a drakonid spawns.

do they go for the one whos done the most damage that encounter?
do they go for the healer who just landed a heal when they spawned?
Is there one aggro list for the encounter, where Nef and drakonids are considerer the same mob?

imo, when the mob spawns, it doesnt have a fresh aggro list. but thats speculatory.
i've hit a freshly spawn drac with a max rank earth shock, and rock biter with it still busting ace for a mage/priest.
i've noticed its harder to pull aggro the longer the encounter progresses.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Drakonids begin to accumulate aggro a few seconds before they're visible and attackable. They begin on everyone's aggro list. So any healing done during that window will determine their initial aggro list.

I always MA my tunnel, and an earth shock has never, in months, failed to make a newly-spawned drakonid stick to me.

i only shock them if i see them leaving the "clump". Perhaps those extra seconds are too long.
i'll try grabbing them right off the doorway.
thanks info
